No child is left behind the new mandatory Jihadist education program in Gaza.

Muslim Brotherhood’s ideologue and chairman of the International Federation of Muslim Clerics, Youssef Qaradawi, was surely proud to see that his decades-long virulent preaching for Muslims to “carry out Jihad to death,” has been taken seriously by HAMAS.

Tens of thousands of teenage boys in the Gaza Strip have been receiving weekly jihadist/terrorist training in school, as part of the mandatory “Al-Futuwwa” (Youth Courage) program. Videos of the program have been posted on YouTube to further the radicalization of Arabic-speaking Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center* exposé should leave no illusions regarding “peace” in the region anytime soon.

“Hamas has introduced a program in Gaza Strip schools called Al-Futuwwa, which provides military training for tens of thousands of adolescent boys.”

1. Since September 2012 Hamas has run a new program called Al-Futuwwa (“youth,” “courage”) in high schools in the Gaza Strip. In the program, tens of thousands of adolescent Gazan boys receive theoretical and practical military training.

The program has three components: military classes are held weekly in the schools, there are two-week training camps held during school breaks, and practical activities carried out with operatives of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military-terrorist wing. An article in the British newspaper The Guardian recentlymreported that the weekly classes are part of the curriculum for 37,000 boys aged 15 to 17, of whom about 5,000 have participated in the training camps. They train with Kalashnikov assault rifles and learn how to use hand grenades and detonate IEDs.

2. The military training program is part of comprehensive indoctrination and practical activities held by Hamas for the younger generation in the Gaza Strip.

The activities which begin in kindergarten and continue on into university, are meant to raise a new generation of motivated military and political operatives and activists and to brainwash them with Hamas ideology (the so-called “liberation of Palestine,” refusal to recognize the State of Israel or its right to exist, nurturing the path of jihad and fostering radical Islam).

3. Hamas expects that this new generation will participate in the armed campaign against Israel as operatives in the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and will integrate into the Hamas movement and administrative activities, thus ensuring Hamas’ long-term control of the Gaza Strip. Another of the program’s objectives is to reinforce the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades’ image as an “army of the people” operating in the service of the movement’s administration, as opposed to the military terrorist wings of the other terrorist organizations, whose role is secondary and which represent affiliation with one faction or another.

4. During 2012, called by the de-facto Hamas administration “the year of Palestinian education,” Hamas introduced a program in its high schools called Al-Futuwwa (“youth,” “courage”). Its objective was to integrate military studies into the schools run by Hamas to raise a new generation of operatives and activists to “serve the homeland” and “expel the Zionist occupation from the land of Palestine” (Hamas forum website, January 24, 2013). The ministries of education and the interior of the de-facto Hamas administration direct the program with the support of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and Hamas’ security services.

5. An article in the British paper The Guardian recently reported on Al-Futuwwa. Its main points were the following [ITIC emphasis throughout]

a) The high school curriculum includes weekly classes in which boys become familiar with Kalashnikov assault rifles and other weapons. Instructors from the interior ministry’s national security services also teach first aid, firefighting and the values of “discipline and responsibility.” Parents can remove their sonsfrom the program but rarely do so.

b) To supplement the course there are voluntary camps during school breaks, in which boys are instructed in how to handle guns and explosives.

c) 3) According to the Hamas ministry of education, the course is now part of the curriculum for about 37,000 pupils aged 15 to 17. So far, about 5,000 have participated in the training camps. A 17 year-old boy (called “Mohammed” in the article) said that he spent six hours a day for two weeks at a training camp, along with 170 other students from his school. They practiced firing Kalashnikov assault rifles, using hand grenades and detonating IEDs. Their instructors were operatives from the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and Hamas’ national security. The boys learned “self defense” and how to “confront the occupation” [i.e., fight Israel]. “Mohammad” said that he supported Hamas and would consider joining the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades.

6. The people in charge of Al-Futuwwa are Mahmoud Syam, general director of educational activities for the Hamas ministry of education, and Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud al-Nahale, in charge of the program for the ministry of the interior.

In March 2013 Mahmoud Syam visited a number of high schools where the program was being taught, and said that so far it had achieved its aims and that the government also was considering adapting the program for high school girls.

He said that in the future emphasis would be put on a variety of training exercises including the use of weapons and learning skills on the ground (Website of the ministry of the interior of the de-facto Hamas administration, March 31, 2013; Website of the ministry of education of the de-facto Hamas administration, March 20, 2013).

7. Al-Futuwwa students are integrated into the operational activities of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades to complete their training and theoretical studies.

According to the Hamas forum, on May 3, 2013, 140 Al-Futuwwa students participated in nighttime activities in Gaza along with operatives from the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military-terrorist wing. They patrolled and secured junctions and other key points in Gaza City (Hamas forum website, May 3, 2013).

8. On April 10, 2013, Al-Futuwwa students held a military display at the Gamal Abdel Nasser school in the Sajaiya quarter in eastern Gaza City. They simulated the attack and takeover of an “IDF post,” the abduction of an “Israeli soldier,” and ended the display by firing anti-tank weapons at the “Israeli post.” They used live ammunition before a large audience. The display was conducted by a Hamas announcer who excited the audience by promising more explosions for “the Zionist enemy.” The display was taped and posted on the GAZA ALAN Facebook page (GAZA ALAN Facebook page, April 10, 2013). 9. Samir Zakout, director of the field research unit of the Al-Mezan Center in the Gaza Strip[1],was severely critical of the de-facto Hamas administration for introducing the Al-Futuwwa program into Gaza Strip high schools. He called the program “empty and with no educational content.” He added that the Hamas administration first had to solve more important problems in Palestinian education in the Gaza Strip and provide them with educational values in a different way. He said that Al-Futuwwa was liable to endanger the schools in the Gaza Strip and expose them to attacks by the Israeli Air Force (MBC-TV, Dubai, November 12, 2012).

10. On another occasion, quoted by The Guardian’s correspondent in the Gaza Strip, Samir Zakout said that Hamas had cut sports activities for the past six years, and how had found time to have military training in schools. He added that Hamas was building a “military culture” and creating the next generation of “militants.”

‘Palestinian Statehood, Terror, and the US Election’

“Whenever an insurgent group resorts to openly unjust means, its actions become incontestably terroristic. Even if the ritualistic Palestinian claim of a hostile Israeli “occupation” were somehow reasonable rather than invented, the corresponding right of entitlement to oppose Israel “by any means necessary” would be false.

Significantly, any openly unjust means would remain an obvious expression of terrorism, even if these means were sponsored by a now accepted sovereign state. Alternatively, in these post-independence circumstances, such means could also become a war crime.

Whatever the particular issue at hand, international law always has determinable form and content. Its principles and practices cannot be fashioned and re-fashioned by individual terror groups or by terror-supporting states in order to satisfy certain presumed geo-political interests. This is especially the case wherever terror violence purposely targets evidently fragile and vulnerable civilian populations.

Whatever their cause, national liberation movements that fail to meet the test of just means can never be protected as lawful or legitimate. Even if we could accept the intrinsically spurious argument that Hamas and/or Fatah are somehow able to fulfill the explicit criteria of “national liberation” movements, it would remain perfectly obvious that they still do not meet the recognizable standards of discrimination, proportionality, and military necessity. These authoritative standards of humanitarian international law are made most prominently applicable to insurgent organizations by the common Article 3 of the four Geneva Conventions of 1949, and also by the two 1977 Protocols to the Conventions.

These core standards are also binding upon all combatants by virtue of broader customary and conventional international law, including Article 1 of the Preamble to the Fourth Hague Convention of 1907. This rule, generally called the “Martens Clause,” makes all persons responsible for upholding the “laws of humanity” and, reciprocally, the “dictates of public conscience.”

Under international law, the ends can never justify the means. As in the case of war between states, every use of force by insurgents must be judged twice, once with regard to the justness of the objective (in this case, a Palestinian state that seeks to be built upon the ruins of a correspondingly dismembered Israel), and once with regard to the justness of the means used toward achieving that annihilatory objective.

In law, murderers of mothers and young children who take an undisguised delight in the blood of their victims can never be “freedom fighters.” Indeed, if ever they should become entitled to such a laudatory designation, we would then have to recalculate the authentic meaning of international law. More precisely, we would have to concede that such law was really nothing more than a quaintly veneered authorization for unhindered evil.

American and European supporters of a Palestinian state continue to presume that Palestine would become an agreeable part of a two-state Solution. For these optimistic believers in “peace,” this 23rd Arab state will gratefully coexist with a still-standing Jewish state. Both U.S. presidential contenders should understand this presumption is plainly contradicted by the undisguised expectations of leading Palestinians, and is regularly dismissed everywhere else in the Arab/Islamic world.

Again, consider cartography. The official Map of Palestine at the PA website continues to include all of Israel. Significantly, there is only one state on this map. As readers may already know, it is not Israel.

The Palestine Liberation Organization was formed in 1964, three years before there were any “occupied territories.” What, exactly, was the PLO attempting to “liberate” between 1964 and 1967? There is no more important or primary question.

In all law, terrorist crimes mandate universal cooperation in both apprehension and punishment. As required punishers of “grave breaches” under a still-decentralized regime of international law, all states are required to search out and prosecute, or to extradite, individual terrorist perpetrators. In absolutely no circumstances are states permitted to characterize terrorists as “freedom fighters.” Any such characterization would reject the fixed obligations of international criminal law.

In absolutely no circumstances are states permitted to support terror violence or war crimes against other states.

This is most emphatically true for the United States, which incorporates all of international law as the “supreme law of the land” in Article 6 of the Constitution, and also in certain Supreme Court decisions. Though almost no one seems to be familiar with such an “arcane” history, this American nation was formed by its Founding Fathers according to the timeless legal principles of Blackstone’s Commentariesand in conformance with antecedent and universal Natural Law.

As Americans, we have a genuine obligation to avoid expressly specious manipulations of international law. Whether in New York, London, or Tel Aviv, “freedom fighters” do not orchestrate their wars against office workers, nursery schools, buses, flower markets, or mothers and their babes in ice-cream parlors.

Until we can finally reconcile this elementary human understanding with jihadist portions of the Middle East, our so-called international community will run the risk of transforming assorted and feuding Palestinian gangs into a UN-supported government.

If this bestowal of sovereignty is allowed to proceed, we could soon expect, however counterintuitive, a continuation or even an enlargement of Palestinian violence. The uncontested fact that any such excursions into violence would now have the blessings and succor of a newly constituted state would in no way diminish the associated criminality.

President Obama and Governor Romney should both take close heed. Jurisprudentially, these destructive acts of a Palestinian state would remain as fully verifiable instances of terrorism, or they would emerge as egregious new violations of the law of war. Either way, there would still be no Palestinian peace with Israel.”

“Silence of the Lambs” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102926/), a bone chilling psycho thriller, elicits shivers up the spine, even if viewed via DVD/video and not at the cinema on full screen. The point being, even though viewers realize (at least one hopes so) they are watching fiction they still can’t help but recognize; yes, such evil does exist, even if not an exact replica of the story line. Tingling performances by award winning actors, Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, resonates evil personified.

Why is this relevant? Evil on its face, often by design, must be seen for what it is. It dare not be confused with “different strokes for different folks” regarding this or that. Once one crosses a certain Rubicon it should be considered as a pivotal point; often a leading precursor to a disaster-in-the-making, and not just on a personal level.

So the questions become two-fold: where is this line drawn? and how is it recognizable for what it is? A good barometer is to trust one’s gut and to look around at the landscape for guideposts. But one must be rational enough to see relevant markings for what they are, and not what one wishes them to be. And being familiar with history absolutely illuminates said trails .

Extrapolating therein, then consider: what has changed significantly since Barack HUSSEIN Obama took over the helm, even though many fault-lines were previously visible? ‘Silence of the Lambs in America’ – Northeast Intelligence Network

In present-day America, we are being bombarded with increasingly dire headlines about the condition of our nation. Common elements among these headlines of domestic disorder and discontent are reports of unbridled government overreach into our lives, from much-publicized gun control laws, warrantless searches and seizures, to the perverse and absurdly shameful degradation of our human dignity at the hands of the TSA and the DHS. Today, we are facing an assault on our freedoms for which those who lived before us have shed their blood, entrusting us with the gift of an indivisible nation under God. Yes, under God.

As Americans, we are witnessing the systematic dismantling of our country by the incremental erosion of our liberties and rights by methods that are shaking the very foundations upon which this country was founded. We’ve seen this before, as history is filled with examples of our current predicament; but somehow, today, things seem different to those who are paying attention. In many ways, things are indeed different, yet it is fitting to cite what was written long ago: “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”Time seems to have sparated us from the ultimate sacrifices of our forefathers, for we no longer see their blood that once stained dirt on the battlefields of America. We no longer relate to the sorrows of our ancestors or their sacrifices, nor do we feel the pride of their successes. We are no longer taught the history of a nation that freed itself from tyranny and oppression. Instead, we are subjected to the deliberate perversion of history that characterizes our founders as terrorists – along with portraying those of us who object to such depictions as threats to the state – by an ever-increasing totalitarian government operating in tandem with modern-day academia and a state-sponsored press.

Today’s headlines proclaim that those of us who cherish the rights bestowed upon us by our Creator are now considered to be terrorists. This is the result of the cancer of moral and cultural degradation that we have allowed to take root in the very soil stained with the blood of our forefathers. The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children. What are we going to tell our children and grandchildren about what we’ve done to stop the metastasis of tyranny?

Answering the call

Just as the insidiously evil oppression by our government existed in many forms in the past, so does the template for freedom. The question is whether we are prepared to answer the call to preserve our remaining rights and regain our liberties lost. To do so, however, requires us to recognize not just the symptoms, but the disease itself. For it is the disease of evil – aided and abetted by silence in the face of evil – that allows tyranny to exist and flourish. Fortunately, we have an example to which we may refer. There are lessons to be learned by history, and examples to personify.

Sixty-eight years ago this week, Dietrich Bonhoeffer (pastor, martyr, prophet and spy)[i] who was arrested in Hitler’s Germany, was hanged in Flossenburg, a Nazi death camp. Much has been written about the life and death of this man, with particular focus on his faith-based convictions in thought and deed. The manner in which he lived his life in a country that experienced the perverse incremental transformation of political, moral and religious values should not only serve as an example to us in America, but as a warning. Properly viewed, his senseless execution by the direct orders of a maniacal and tyrannical madman exists as a metaphorical exclamation point at the end of a sentence – his death sentence. He met his fate as he lived his life, with such unwavering convictions that even the most respected of his peers were unable, or perhaps unwilling, to stand firm beside or behind him.

Sadly, most high-profile Americans claiming to possess intellectual honesty and moral integrity (particularly those with a microphone or keyboard and an audience of significance) seem to lack the corresponding desire and courage to point out the disturbing similarities between the state of Hitler’s Germany and present-day America. And there are many such parallels. The precious few who do point them out are the victims of a relentlessly vicious campaign of character marginalization, and accusations of racism and bigotry. We become “magnets of marginalization” by people with a rabidly Progressive and Socialist mindset. Unsurprisingly, the tenor and tempo of such accusations are rising, as they are met with little resistance.

The reason for this tenacious campaign against men and women of faith is simple. It exists in the legacy of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and has the ability to exist in each of us, should we summon the courage to be steadfast in our refusal to acquiesce to the tolerance of evil. Dietrich Bonhoeffer was outspoken against those who remained silent in the face of the moral and religious degradation of his country. He spoke out against lukewarm pastors and cultural Christians who supported Hitler, or acquiesced under the pressure of the false doctrine of tolerance.

As we’ve seen from issues ranging from infanticide to the insidiousness built into the health care bill that requires Christians to act against their beliefs, the majority of the Christian conservatives have capitulated through compromise. Unlike Dietrich Bonhoeffer, they endorse the perversity of political and social correctness that exists in present-day America, opting against taking a stand for their faith.

As God-believing Americans who cherish the rights bestowed upon us and enumerated within our Constitution (perhaps better known in the Western media as “bitter clingers”), we are in the midst of the destructive transformation of our nation. The tinder is present and ready for ignition, needing only one spark from any source to ignite America into a state of chaos that would result in a tyrannical clampdown.

The firewall to prevent this transformation – the Christian leaders and the body of the church – is crumbling by inaction and outright apostasy. The parallels between the present-day United States and Hitler’s Germany are evident. Just as the similarities are evident, so is our collective inaction, which is eviscerating the very soul of America. It is this silence and inaction that will rip America from her Judeo-Christian foundations, and make it possible for a fall of biblical proportions.

Sixty-eight years ago, Dietrich Bonhoeffer died not only for his faith, but to illustrate that we must not be silent in the face of tyranny. If not for our own sakes, let us summon that same courage for the sake of our children and their children. After all, the ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children[ii].

Those of us who operate below the mainstream radar, aka within the “alternative media”, have their champions and detractors. And this is what it means to live in a free society. There is an implied contract; one is free to disagree, but without the threat of political axes hanging over ones head. In other words, there should be zero tolerance for “cease and desist” – or else. ‘IRS officials in Washington were involved in targeting of conservative groups’

Internal Revenue Service officials in Washington and at least two other offices were involved with investigating conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, making clear that the effort reached well beyond the branch in Cincinnati that was initially blamed, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post.

IRS officials at the agency’s Washington headquarters sent queries to conservative groups asking about their donors and other aspects of their operations, while officials in the El Monte and Laguna Niguel offices in California sent similar questionnaires to tea-party-affiliated groups, the documents show.

IRS employees in Cincinnati told conservatives seeking the status of “social welfare” groups that a task force in Washington was overseeing their applications, according to interviews with the activists.

Lois G. Lerner, who oversees tax-exempt groups for the IRS, told reporters Friday that the “absolutely inappropriate” actions were undertaken by “front-line people” working in Cincinnati to target groups with “tea party,” “patriot” or “9/12” in their names.

In one instance, however, Ron Bell, an IRS employee, informed a lawyer representing a conservative group focused on voter fraud that the application was under review in Washington. On several other occasions, IRS officials in Washington and California sent conservative groups detailed questionnaires about their voter outreach and other activities, according to the documents.

“For the IRS to say it was some low-level group in Cincinnati is simply false,” said Cleta Mitchell, a partner in the law firm Foley & Lardner who sought to communicate with IRS headquarters about the delay in granting tax-exempt status to True the Vote.

Moreover, details of the IRS’s efforts to target conservative groups reached the highest levels of the agency in May 2012, far earlier than has been disclosed, according to Republican congressional aides briefed by the IRS and the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) on the details of their reviews…….

‘GOV’T OBTAINS WIDE AP PHONE RECORDS IN PROBE’

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative’s top executive called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather the news.

The records obtained by the Justice Department listed outgoing calls for the work and personal phone numbers of individual reporters, for general AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, Conn., and for the main number for the AP in the House of Representatives press gallery, according to attorneys for the AP. It was not clear if the records also included incoming calls or the duration of the calls.

In all, the government seized the records for more than 20 separate telephone lines assigned to AP and its journalists in April and May of 2012. The exact number of journalists who used the phone lines during that period is unknown, but more than 100 journalists work in the offices where phone records were targeted, on a wide array of stories about government and other matters.

In a letter of protest sent to Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday, AP President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Pruitt said the government sought and obtained information far beyond anything that could be justified by any specific investigation. He demanded the return of the phone records and destruction of all copies.

“There can be no possible justification for such an overbroad collection of the telephone communications of The Associated Press and its reporters. These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP’s newsgathering operations and disclose information about AP’s activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know,” Pruitt said.

The government would not say why it sought the records. Officials have previously said in public testimony that the U.S. attorney in Washington is conducting a criminal investigation into who may have provided information contained in a May 7, 2012, AP story about a foiled terror plot. ‘Watch out for Petraeus in Benghazi scandal’

By their second term “inside the bubble,” presidents have completely lost touch with reality: Aides and confidants conspire to keep the chief executive insulated from the real world — the bad news, the worse press coverage. They think it’s their job, and lounging on the Oval Office couches, they nod along with the president’s every musing.

But this presidency has taken OOCS to new heights. Mr. Obama has only a few trusted aides, and occasional leaks from the West Wing show a paranoid president suspicious of nearly everyone around him. Supremely confident, convinced by the fawning minions at his feet that he is untouchable, the president dismisses all controversy as partisan attacks by an overzealous opposition. A pliant press corps of stenographers follows in lockstep.

Not surprisingly, every president in the past 60 years has had a major scandal in Term 2: Dwight Eisenhower had the U-2 “incident”; Richard Nixon had Watergate; Ronald Reagan had Iran-Contra; Bill Clinton had Monica (literally); George W. Bush had Katrina (and let’s not forget those WMDs that never turned up); and now, this president has Benghazi.

Make no mistake: Benghazi is a major scandal. Benghazi is a scandal before, during and after the terrorist attack that left four Americas dead, including an ambassador.

For months before, there were warnings about weak security at the U.S. Consulate in Libya; no one paid attention. During the attack, when Americans were begging for help, the White House ignored their pleas, sent no help.

And after? That’s when the Obama scandal falls into the predictable second-term pattern his predecessors all learned the very hard way. Faced with a crisis, the Obama White House panicked. “We can’t have a terrorist strike two months before Election Day, so … let’s not have a terrorist strike two months before Election Day.” Cue the Cover-Up.

So little is known about what happened in Benghazi: Where was the commander in chief that night? No pictures from the Situation Room this time. Why didn’t the Pentagon authorize a quick-response team to swoop in? Members of the military say they were ready — burning — to go. The call came in: Stand down. Let them die. There were dozens of witnesses to the attack that night: Where are they? What do they know? What really happened that night?

And who forced the heavy-handed redactions of those infamous “talking points,” the ones that sent Mr. Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations onto the Sunday talk shows to declare that the attack was just the culmination of a spontaneous protest over an anti-Islam video posted on YouTube?

Carnival barker Jay Carney looked almost ashen Friday as he took the podium to face a suddenly invigorated press corps. Of course, the public briefing came after a private session with “reporters who matter,” a sure sign the White House is in full hunker-down mode — and, more precisely, terrified.

“Again,” one newly curious reporter asked, “what role did the White House play, not just in making but in directing changes that took place to these?”

Enough. You get the point: Full Spin Cycle.

Speaking for the White House, the flack said the CIA was fully to blame for the talking points. Fully. “That is what was generated by the intelligence community, by the CIA,” he said.

“Since April, there have been at least five other attacks against foreign interests in Benghazi by unidentified assailants.” That line was stricken: Everything was fine there — fine fine fine.

And: “We do know that Islamic extremists with ties to Al Qaeda participated in the attack.” That line, too, was deleted by … someone. Instead, this was inserted: “There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.”

Despite protestations by the White House, this scandal is just beginning. And the White House has picked a very bad scapegoat: the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA follows RFK’s edict: “Don’t get mad, get even.” And when the CIA gets even, it isn’t pretty.

With the White House putting all blame on the agency, expect push back this week — nuclear push back. Gen. David H. Petraeus, the former director forced to resign after a sex scandal, is a dangerous man to the Obama administration. Mad and intent on getting even, he’s already talking, telling one reporter the talking points were “useless” and that he preferred not to use them at all. The floodgates will open this week, and by the end of business Friday, the scandal will be full blown.

A warning to those West Wing sycophants suffering from acute OOCS: Don’t walk down any dark alleys.

Arab terrorists attempted to murder a Jewish motorist near Hevron Thursday morning. The man is Shai Malka, Director of the Manhigut Yehudit faction within Likud, which was founded by MK Moshe Feiglin.

The terrorists threw a large rock at Malka’s car as it drove down Route 60, from a truck that was speeding down the road in the opposite direction. The same method of attack was used to murder Asher Palmer and his baby son Yonatan, in September of 2011, in the same region.

Economics and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett held talks in recent days with Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz and Central Command Head Maj. Gen. Nitzan Alon, in an attempt to improve security for the Jews of Judea and Samaria.

“Recently, the security situation on the roads has deteriorated,” the Bayit Yehudi chairman wrote on his Facebookpage.

“There are rock roadblocks, cinderblocks thrown at cars, attacks on cars and more. Evyatar Borovsky, 32, was murdered. Adelle Biton, 3, is unconscious in the hospital.”

He told his Facebook followers that he visited the community of Talmon this week and spoke to residents, who told of growing tension in their region. “They said how afraid they were to drive at night, or to drive on the roads with children at all.”

“These are residents of the state of Israel, like all of us,” he added. “They work, pay taxes, serve in the reserves. In other words, they are you and me. They deserve security. Israel is committed to the security of its residents. What is simpler than that? It is the responsibility of the government of Israel. It is my personal responsibility as a member of it.”

Bennett said that he discussed the matter in with Yaalon, Gantz and Alon and that he “The open fire orders must be revised, forces must be redirected to that area, offensive activity needs to be ramped up, the throwing of rocks needs to be treated as a life-threatening action.

‘Martial Law Comes to America?’

Given the grim casualty figures – some 280 wounded and three dead – of the April 15th Boston Marathon terrorist bombing attacks, it is appropriate that our thoughts are with those most-affected by this cruel atrocity. However, even as we feel compassion for the victims and attempt to help the survivors rebuild their lives, we must not lose sight of the bigger picture and the issues at stake in the aftermath of the attack. The Boston terrorist attacks should trouble every thoughtful American – and not only because of the innocent casualties.

As a massive manhunt to catch the perpetrators of the attack got under way, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick – in cooperation with Mayor Thomas Menino and local, state and federal authorities – imposed an involuntary lockdown upon the city of Boston, home to more than 625,000 people and the metro region of greater Boston, home to 4.5 million people.

As detailed in a story [1] by recently-retired Congressman Ron Paul, M.D., the citizens of the region were subjected to armored vehicles in the streets, heavily-armed paramilitary police, warrantless door-to-door searches, and families forcibly evicted at gunpoint from their homes without probable cause. Businesses were forced to close and regional transportation effectively halted. Electronic road signs over area expressways cautioned motorists to go inside and “shelter in place.”

What is “shelter in place,” you ask? The short answer is that it is the police state telling you to go inside and remain there until you are given permission to come out. “Shelter in place” is a catchy little euphemism crafted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to obscure the fact that martial law had just been declared – and that you, dear citizen, had been placed under house arrest.

In due course, suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev died in a shoot-out with police in Watertown, MA, and his brother, Dzhokhar, was wounded and later taken into custody. These two men, both natives of the Chechnya, were the reason d’être and rationale for shutting down an entire city.

In short order, Governor Patrick and other statists were bragging about the effectiveness of “shelter in place” – only to proven emphatically wrong. Those formations of heavily-armed shock troops were not responsible for locating the suspects. It was after the lock-down was lifted that a private citizen went outside to check his property and discovered the suspect – whereupon he called the police and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was apprehended. It is possible, even highly-likely, that the suspect would have eluded the authorities entirely, if not for the efforts of one private citizen. An ordinary person accomplished what thousands of heavily-armed paramilitaries were unable to do.

As Dr. Paul reminds us, it is not the job of government to keep us safe but to protect our liberties. Once we subscribe to the notion that assuring our safety is the central task of government, we place all of our liberties in grave danger – for then the authorities can and will demand restriction after restriction upon our freedoms in the name of safety. The oft-quoted passage by Benjamin Franklin bears repeating, “Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty no Safety.”

For obvious reasons, the government does not widely advertise its poor performance and lack of success in predicting and preventing terrorist attacks. However, the fact remains that – despite the trillions of dollars in direct and indirect costs spent on domestic and foreign intelligence, counterintelligence and counterterrorism operations – the government has been unable to significantly reduce, let alone eradicate terrorism. The failure of the police state in the Boston manhunt is not an atypical event; it is – in many respects – the status quo for government counter-terrorist efforts. Recall that the CIA, FBI and other domestic/foreign intelligence services were caught flat-footed by the September 11th terrorist attacks – despite having the benefit of the advance warning given in the first World Trade Center Towers attacks in 1993 and much-other intelligence besides. The foregoing is not an indictment of those dedicated and diligent professionals (and there are some) working to protect this nation and its citizens, while remaining within the bounds of the constitution; it is simply an acknowledgement of a painful yet necessary truth about the nature of what we face. Just as local police are powerless to prevent all crimes, the authorities are likewise just as powerless to prevent all acts of terrorism.

There is an apt term for many of the security efforts we see about us, such as those in Boston after the April 15th bombings. Some years ago, computer security expert and author Bruce Schneier coined the term “security theater” in his novel “Beyond Fear” to describe the practice of investing in countermeasures intended to provide the feeling of improved security while doing little or nothing to actually achieve it. Security Theater serves the ends of government; since terrorism directly challenges (and thereby threatens) the perceived legitimacy of the existing political regime and its leaders, even a pro forma show of force serves to strengthen the often-illusory perception that our leaders are in charge and have the situation under control.

In reality, Security Theater does little to improve our safety and much to erode our rights as free citizens.

If we make the Faustian bargain of trading liberty for safety, we are in effect forging our own chains. Statistically-speaking, one is more likely to die of a bee sting or a lightning strike (to say nothing of a car accident) than by an act of terrorism. The government – federal, state and local – is incapable of stopping these attacks, yet we persist in surrendering our liberties and tax dollars to the authorities in the vain hope that attacks like the one at the Boston Marathon can be prevented. That road ends in only one place – in an all-powerful state in which we are no longer citizens, but subjects ordered about at the whims of our masters. To the extent that safety and security exist in this world, they are found in the exercise of our rights and responsibilities as free citizens. The price of liberty and its benefits is that each of us must assume a degree of risk in an uncertain and sometimes-dangerous world.

A Fox News poll of 619 individuals selected nationally and at random – taken the day after the Boston attacks – asked respondents, “Would you be willing to give up some of your personal freedom in order to reduce the threat of terrorism?” Forty-five percent answered “no,” while forty-three percent answered “yes,” with the remainder unsure or abstaining. This result represents an inversion of the past polling pattern for this question, which has held since the 9/11 attacks. A similar poll of 588 adults taken on 17-18 April, 2013 by the Washington Post, which asked “Which worries you more – that the government will not go far enough to investigate terrorism because of concerns about constitutional rights, or that it will go too far in compromising constitutional rights in order to investigate terrorism?” Forty-eight percent replied that they were worried that the government will go too-far, versus forty-one percent who believe that the government has not gone far-enough. These polling data seem to confirm that Americans fear terrorism less than they fear the loss of their constitutional rights, and that they have finally begun to notice – and to chafe under – the severe restrictions placed upon their liberties since 2001.

A right unexercised and unused is soon lost. At the very earliest opportunity, please remind your elected representatives and other government officials that reducing or abolishing individual liberties and constitutional rights in the name of safety is utterly unacceptable – and that any official – elected or appointed – who supports such efforts will face the consequences at the ballot box and in court. The declaration of martial law in Boston represents a de facto warning shot – a harbinger of things to come – if lovers of liberty do not arise as one in defense of their age-old rights as free men.

‘Is There A Third Boston Marathon Bomber?’

In George Orwell’s famous dystopian novel 1984, high officials direct robotic bureaucrats to alter the past—“pushed down the memory hole” is the famous phrase–all in order to prop up the state apparatus. Names are changed, facts disappear, and new facts are born.

Let’s look at the past for a moment:

April 15, 2013, at 2:29 p.m.: a bomb goes off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. A second bomb goes off thirteen seconds later.

A Saudi national by the name of Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, near ground zero of the first blast, receives significant injuries to his legs, consisting of burns and embedded shrapnel.

He immediately runs from the scene and is quickly tackled by a bystander, thinking he is the bomber.

The police take him into custody and transport him to the hospital. At this point, he is only a person of interest.

By 4:46 p.m., he is named as a suspect and placed under armed guard.

At exactly 7:29 p.m., over twenty ATF, FBI, and DHS agents swarm Alharbi’s apartment in nearby Revere, carrying out dozens of bags of evidence.

Alharbi is quickly identified as having some connection to the bombing.

Slam dunk. Suspect identified and held accountable. Game over.

Not exactly. Enter the Saudi government.

At 10:00 a.m. the next day, Secretary of State John Kerry meets with with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal. Shortly thereafter, President Obama meets with the Saudi ambassador, Adel al-Jubeir. Both meetings are unscheduled and held in secret (and more than likely concern Alharbi.)

At 4 p.m. the following day, a criminal file is created for Alharbi, charging him with terrorism and linking him to the Boston bombing. The NTC (National Terrorism Center), under ICE, classifies the matter under section 212 3B, “Security and related grounds/Terrorist activities.” The Obama administration deems Alharbi a national security threat, but instead of arresting him, recommends he be deported.

Later that evening, Investigative Project on Terrorism chief Steve Emerson says on the Sean Hannity Show that according to his sources, Alharbi is being quietly deported at the request of the Saudi government.

At 5:35 p.m., Alharbi’s deportation file is altered—“cauterized” was the word an insider used— authorized from the highest levels, revoking deportation and further made to look like no deportation proceedings had been initiated.

This alteration is authorized by either the head of the National Security Agency or State Department (and may have been directly authorized by Barack Hussein Obama himself.)

When this information begins to leak to the media, Secretary of Homeland Security JanetNapolitano is summoned before Congress and questioned about the matter. She calls the information a rumor, stating that Alharbi was not being deported and that he was never a suspect (and, when pressed, refuses to answer any further questions.)

The same day, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) states that the information about Alharbi is “categorically false.”

But according to a Congressional Source, the information released was in fact completely accurate.

Alharbi was in fact linked to the Boston terrorist attack. The Congressman who questioned Janet Napolitano, Rep. Jeff Duncan, was actually in possession of Alharbi’s file and knew that Napolitano was lying.

What else did we know about Alharbi?

When he received his student visa, he had been on a terrorist watch list and should have never been allowed into the country.

He has at least a dozen connections to al-Qaeda members, some presently being held in Gitmo.

And, probably most shocking of all, he was a regular visitor at the White House.

This is most likely the main reason Barack Obama tried to whisk him out of the country so quickly.

But alas, all was shoved down the memory hole, never to be heard about again.

Names were changed, facts disappeared, and new facts were born.

There comes a time when some lies no longer hold up under their own enormity, as evidenced within Benghazigate. Its pile of dung is blowing apart, even as this is being written. ‘Obama’s Lifeline to the Boston Bomber’

The Obama administration is reportedly negotiating a plea bargain that would spare the life of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and that could allow the FBI to continue interrogating the suspect about other terrorist plots.

NBC News reports that federal prosecutors and Tsarnaev’s lawyers “have begun very early discussions about a possible deal in which he could avoid the death penalty in return for a full accounting to the FBI of what happened and why as investigators continue working to find those answers for themselves.”

Talk of a legal settlement that would allow Tsarnaev to escape execution comes after high-powered attorney Judy Clarke, a death-penalty specialist from San Diego, was added to Tsarnaev’s legal defense team earlier this week. U.S. Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler approved Clarke’s appointment Monday.

Clarke is credited with helping to secure life sentences for clients facing the death penalty such as Jared Loughner, “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski, and 1996 Olympics bomber Eric Rudolph. Clarke’s fees will reportedly be paid by U.S. taxpayers.

Federal terrorism charges were laid against Tsarnaev last week after some lawmakers demanded the U.S. citizen be treated as an unlawful enemy combatant. Such a move would have given authorities a freer hand to question Tsarnaev about Islamic terrorist operations.

Tsarnaev had been subject to questioning by the FBI for about 16 hours when Judge Bowler suddenly appeared unannounced in the suspect’s hospital room early on April 22. Accompanied by a prosecutor and a public defender, Bowler — not law enforcement officers — read Tsarnaev his Miranda rights and the suspect immediately stopped cooperating with the FBI.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Bowler made the right call. That decision was “totally consistent with the laws that we have,” he said Saturday. “The decision to Mirandize was one that the magistrate made,” Holder added.

But a legal expert said Holder is misstating the law, as handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court in the precedent-setting 1966 ruling, Miranda v. Arizona.

“Eric Holder was dead wrong when he said there was a legal requirement to Mirandize Dzhokhar Tsarnaev,” attorney Curt Levey, president of the Washington, D.C.-based Committee for Justice, told this writer in an interview.

“The Supreme Court’s ruling in Miranda says only that without a Mirandawarning the defendant’s statements cannot be used to convict him in a criminal trial. There is no requirement that you be Mirandized. It applies only to the evidence that can be used to convict you.”

In other words, had it not been for Bowler taking the extremely unusual step of reading Tsarnaev his rights, the FBI could have continued trying to extract intelligence from the suspect that might have been useful in fending off future Islamic terrorist attacks.

This appears to be a new approach to judicial activism. Bowler seems to have usurped the powers of the executive branch by taking it upon herself to decide on behalf of the American government that assuring the admissibility of evidence gathered from Tsarnaev in court was more important than possibly obtaining more information from him about terrorist networks that could have saved American lives. It is not supposed to be Bowler’s decision to make.

Meanwhile, citing unnamed sources, the Daily Mail (UK) reported that the Saudi government warned the U.S. last year that the other Boston Marathon bomber, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, killed in a shootout with police April 19, was a dangerous extremist. The security alert, which the Saudi embassy in Washington, D.C., and the Obama administration deny was issued, was separate from warnings about Tsarnaev that Russian intelligence provided to the Obama administration.

After Saudi Arabia rejected Tsarnaev’s December 2011 application to enter the kingdom to make a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi authorities sent a written warning to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the British government last year advising that “something was going to happen in a major U.S. city.”

According to the newspaper, the “government-to-government” letter named Tsarnaev specifically but did not indicate when or where an attack would take place. The Saudis acted because they believed U.S. authorities should be intercepting packages intended for Tsarnaev to look for items used to make bombs.

Tsarnaev’s tourist visa for Saudi Arabia was rejected a month before he traveled to the Russian republic of Dagestan where he may have received training that allowed him to make and detonate the pressure-cooker bombs that he and his brother Dzhokhar set off at the Boston Marathon on April 15.

The Saudi official rejected the idea that Tamerlan Tsarnaev was trained by al-Qaeda during his absence from the U.S. in 2012. Saudi Arabia’s sources in Yemen said Islamic militants knew of Tsarnaev but mocked him, calling him “the volunteer,” the unnamed official told the Daily Mail.

“He was a gung-ho, self motivated jihadi who wasn’t tasked by a larger group,” the official said. Blowing up bombs at the Boston Marathon is “beneath” al-Qaeda, he said. “They don’t think like this. This is like a firecracker to them. They want something big.”

In a related development, three young men associated with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are now accused of serving as his accomplices following the Boston Marathon bombing.

Under arrest for conspiracy to obstruct justice are Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev of Kazakhstan. Robel Phillipos, a U.S. citizen, is charged with making materially false statements to federal investigators. The trio attended the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth with Tsarnaev, according to FBI affidavits filed in federal court.

Days after the bombing, the three allegedly watched a movie in Tsarnaev’s dormitory room and then found a backpack containing fireworks. The gunpowder in the fireworks had been removed.

“Kadyrbayev knew when he saw the empty fireworks that Tsarnaev was involved in the Marathon bombing,” according to one of the affidavits. “Kadyrbayev decided to remove the backpack from the room in order to help his friend Tsarnaev avoid trouble. He decided to take Tsarnaev’s laptop as well because he did not want Tsarnaev’s roommate to think he was stealing or behaving suspiciously by just taking the backpack.”

The three men “collectively decided to throw the backpack and fireworks into the trash because they did not want Tsarnaev to get into trouble,” the document stated.

Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev are also alleged to have violated the terms of their student visas.

The Boston Herald reports that the Tsarnaev family, including the two brothers and their parents, took in more than $100,000 in taxpayer-funded assistance from 2002 to 2012. The benefits included cash, food stamps, and Section 8 housing subsidies.

“The breadth of the benefits the family was receiving was stunning,” a person with knowledge of documents provided to a state legislative committee told the newspaper.

This means that Massachusetts taxpayers were almost certainly subsidizing the Boston Marathon bombers and their family as the two Tsarnaev brothers immersed themselves in the world of Islamic terrorism.

The state government has given more than 500 documents to the House Post Audit and Oversight Committee in the Massachusetts General Court, the state legislature.

“I can assure members of the public that this committee will actively review every single piece of information we can find because clearly the public has a substantial right to know what benefits, if any, this family or individuals accused of some horrific crimes were receiving,” said committee chairman Rep. David Linsky, a Democrat.

Welfare officials are investigating whether the Tsarnaev family notified the state about Tamerlan’s extended stay in Dagestan last year during which he may have interacted with Islamic terrorists.

The extent of the welfare payments made to the family surfaced despite official efforts to keep the information hidden.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, a Democrat and longtime supporter of welfare-rights groups such as ACORN, had earlier refused to disclose details of the welfare benefits, citing state privacy laws. The real motivation of Patrick, a left-winger often compared to his friend and ally Barack Obama, for failing to hand over the information was more likely that he was trying to defend his state’s out-of-control social programs from adverse publicity.

Adding insult to injury, if Dzhokhar Tsarnaev receives a sentence of life imprisonment, America’s taxpayers will be paying his bills for the rest of his natural life.

As Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) – powerful member of the House Oversight Committee – puts it, there are ‘three tranches’ when it comes to the larger scandal known Benghazi-gate.

The decision not to provide security beforehand
What happened during the siege, why assets were not employed

When it comes to tranche number three, an article by Stephen Hayes in the Weekly Standard sheds some bright light on what problems the Obama administration will be facing. In essence, despite prior protestations, it is now crystal clear that there were forces at work – particularly in the State Department – who did not like the language in the talking points put forth by the Intelligence community on Friday, September 14th, three days after the attacks in Benghazi.

Demonstrable evidence seems to suggest that the CIA’s original talking points were more closely aligned with witness accounts from individuals on the ground in Benghazi. Remember, witness accounts are being headlined as the reason for compelling hearings on May 8th.

A cable sent the following day, September 12, by the CIA station chief in Libya, reported thateyewitnesses confirmed the participation of Islamic militants and made clear that U.S. facilities in Benghazi had come under terrorist attack. It was this fact, along with several others, that top Obama officials would work so hard to obscure.

Fast forward to Friday, September 14th. That evening, officials at the top of various departments and agencies received the CIA community’s version of the talking points that were distributed internally earlier that day.According to Hayes, it didn’t take long for Hillary Clinton’s mouthpiece to object:

The talking points were first distributed to officials in the interagency vetting process at 6:52 p.m. on Friday. Less than an hour later, at 7:39 p.m., an individual identified in the House report only as a “senior State Department official” responded to raise “serious concerns” about the draft. That official, whom The Weekly Standard has confirmed was State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland, worried that members of Congress would use the talking points to criticize the State Department for “not paying attention to Agency warnings.”

Ain’t it interesting that it took the State Department less than one hour to respond to Benghazi talking points it didn’t like but neglected to respond to the Benghazi attacks themselves, which went on for several hours? It’s also interesting to note that earlier that day, at the White House Press Briefing, Obama spokesman Jay Carney implied – quite overtly – that the video was responsible for those attacks. When pressed, he deferred to asking the reporter to prove a negative:

Hayes then writes about the reaction of Nuland (Hillary’s mouthpiece) later that evening, after the CIA created version two of the talking points:

…in a follow-up email at 9:24 p.m., Nuland wrote that the problem remained and that her superiors—she did not say which ones—were unhappy. The changes, she wrote, did not “resolve all my issues or those of my building leadership,” and State Department leadership was contacting National Security Council officials directly. Moments later, according to the House report, “White House officials responded by stating that the State Department’s concerns would have to be taken into account.”

Questions: If Nuland was the official voice / mouthpiece of the Secretary of State, who were her superiors? Was there someone between her and Hillary? If so, who? Then again, does it really matter? Nuland was either Hillary’s spokesman or she was not. If she was, wasn’t she necessarily speaking for Hillary when she said her superiors were not happy?

According to Hayes, the next day – Saturday, the 15th – administration officials would get to work on those talking points.

…according to two officials with knowledge of the process, Mike Morrell, deputy director of the CIA, made broad changes to the draft afterwards. Morrell cut all or parts of four paragraphs of the six-paragraph talking points—148 of its 248 words (see Version 2 above).Gone were the reference to “Islamic extremists,” the reminders of agency warnings about al Qaeda in Libya, the reference to “jihadists” in Cairo, the mention of possible surveillance of the facility in Benghazi, and the report of five previous attacks on foreign interests.

Though not mentioned, it’s at least conceivable at this point – one day prior to Susan Rice going on those Sunday shows – that CIA Director David Petraeus was becoming persona non grata (remember his affair with Paula Broadwell was made public very shortly after the election).

Check out what was attributed to Petraeus on the afternoon of September 14th, via ABC News,presumably after Carney pointed to the video earlier that day:

The attack that killed four Americans in the Libyan consulate began as a spontaneous protest against the film “The Innocence of Muslims,” but Islamic militants who may have links to Al Qaeda used the opportunity to launch an attack, CIA Director David Petreaus told the House Intelligence Committee today according to one lawmaker who attended a closed-door briefing.

We are left to conclude that when Nuland said her superiors were ‘not happy’ on the evening of September 14th, much of that displeasure was likely attributable to what Petraeus said earlier that day as well as what his agency put forth in its initial version of what happened in Benghazi on the night of the 11th.

Again, if the spokesman for the Secretary of State had ‘superiors’, who were they? Did they not include Hillary Clinton herself? Her advisors? Her Deputy Chief of Staff, whose family would most assuredly not want the Benghazi attackers identified as al-Qaeda or Ansar al-Sharia – offshoots of the Muslim Brotherhood, a group to which the mother of Hillary’s Deputy Chief of Staff belonged? The spokesman for the Secretary of State is the equivalent of a ventriloquist dummy with the hand in its back being the Secretary of State.

It should indeed be clear why the misleading statements of Susan Rice on September 16th constitute a significant ‘tranche’ of this investigation.

Retired Navy SEAL Billy Allman Is Making A Stunning Accusation… In His Own Words: “Americans Were Deliberately Left There To Die.”

Based on evidence compiled from his contacts in the Special Ops Community, Allman’s revelation seems to confirm what far too many of us have suspected all along… that’s it’s entirely possible that Team Obama left people to die in Benghazi as part of a much larger cover-up.

This is hardly news, but it is important to note how unrelenting their red/green alliance is, even when deep fissures crop up, issues which should naturally tear them apart. Think again.

Now let’s talk straight (no pun intended) and admit: yes, there are many homosexuals in Muslim/Arab nations and among those who live in the west too, even as the Iranian Hitler exhorts “there are NO gays in Iran”…yada, yada. Yet even as Islamists opine their communities are gay-free, nevertheless, they adjoin at the hip when it comes to “pinkwashing” Israel – a leftist’s natural bludgeon – a nation which is awash in homosexual tolerance, so much so that the leaders view no place too holy for the Gay Parade, even the Jewish people’s eternal capital, Jerusalem! ‘Do conservatives need yet another lesson on why we are losing the war for the hearts and minds of people?’

There was yet another lesson yesterday. If you think about where we were say twenty-five years ago and where we are today, where will we be twenty years from now?

Unless we fight this one-way street of “tolerance” conservatism and the by products of conservatism, namely freedom and liberty, will be dead in this nation.

What has happened?

Yesterday, Jason Collins, a virtually unknown NBA player came out and announced he was gay. The media that had been waiting for this all but swooned over a guy whose career has been a lot less than spectacular.

The politically correct establishment wasted no time throwing themselves all over this unknown player. Barack Obama tweeted support for Collins and called him to admire his courage. Funny, Obama has not been able to call or even acknowledge Chris Kyle and his tragic death or Brian Terry. These men lived and died for this nation and they do not receive any recognition from the White House but some obscure basketball player who decides to announce he is gay does.

The biggest blowback came on ESPN. ESPN is owned by Disney, which is notorious in its left wing bias. Commenting on the “news” of Collins coming out, two analysts discussed the impact of it. One was LZ Granderson. Granderson is openly gay. The other was Chris Broussard. Granderson of course spoke of this “event” in glowing terms. Then came Broussard’s turn. He offered his opinion.

Broussard’s opinion was deemed so outrageous that ESPN has apologized for it and there is now a massive campaign to have Broussard fired for expressing his opinion.

What did Broussard say?

Here’s what Chris Broussard said:

I’d like to second what LZ said. “I’m a Christian. I don’t agree with homosexuality. I think it’s a sin, as I think all sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is. [ESPN’s] L.Z. [Granderson] knows that. He and I have played on basketball teams together for several years. We’ve gone out, had lunch together, we’ve had good conversations, good laughs together. He knows where I stand and I know where he stands. I don’t criticize him, he doesn’t criticize me, and call me a bigot, call me ignorant, call me intolerant.

In talking to some people around the league, there’s a lot Christians in the NBA and just because they disagree with that lifestyle, they don’t want to be called bigoted and intolerant and things like that. That’s what LZ was getting at. Just like I may tolerate someone whose lifestyle I disagree with, he can tolerate my beliefs. He disagrees with my beliefs and my lifestyle but true tolerance and acceptance is being able to handle that as mature adults and not criticize each other and call each other names…

Personally, I don’t believe that you can live an openly homosexual lifestyle or an openly premarital sex between heterosexuals, if you’re openly living that type of lifestyle, then the Bible says you know them by their fruits, it says that’s a sin. If you’re openly living in unrepentant sin, whatever it may be, not just homosexuality, adultery, fornication, premarital sex between heterosexuals, whatever it may be, I believe that’s walking in open rebellion to God and to Jesus Christ. I would not characterize that person as a Christian because I do not think the Bible would characterize them as a Christian.

Chris Broussard expressed a traditional view of morality. He did not demand that Jason Collins be stoned, fired or even suffer any repercussions as a result of his decision.

Within hours, the hashtag #firechrisbroussard was trending on Twitter. Liberals were in apoplexy that someone had dared to disagree with the political correctness that dictates we must agree without dissent.

Chris Broussard made an excellent argument for tolerance the way it should be. What we have seen is the way tolerance is practiced by the left.

There is another more important lesson we need to learn here.

There are far more people under 30 who watch ESPN and have their opinions formed or at least influenced by that channel than watch Fox News or listen to talk radio. Fortunately more people watch ESPN than watch MSNBC either. But then again, the Cooking Channel has higher ratings than MSNBC!

Most of the under 30 crowd is being sent a message by the left. That message is either you agree with us or you disagree with us. If you disagree with us you are a despicable homophobe and a few other things. Chris Broussard had a simple message. His message was I disagree with Jason Collins but I will be tolerant of him. The left’s message was if you do not agree with us, we will destroy you.

We fight for freedom and liberty. If Jason Collins wants to be gay and public about it, freedom means that he can do that. Freedom also means that Chris Broussard can disagree with that call.

If we do not find ways to start reaching the under 30 demographic with the concepts of freedom and liberty, the left will own them as they move into middle age.

Stunningly, the under 30 demographic is strongly pro-Obama. Right now, unemployment among those under 30 is 50%. One half of all college graduates cannot find full time jobs. Ten years ago, when the GOP was in charge, 90% of college graduates were employed. Unfortunately conservatives and the GOP do a terrible job of messaging and this message is not reaching those under 30.

If we do not find ways to reach them with the message of freedom, liberty, free markets and prosperity, we will fulfill Ronald Reagan’s warning that we will be sitting around in our old age telling our children and our grandchildren what it was like to live in America with it was a free and a prosperous nation.

‘Israel closes air space in the North’

Russian and Iranian media Sunday, May 5, predicted full-scale Middle East hostilities involving Israel erupting in the coming hours, in the wake of Israel’s renewed strikes against Iranian missiles bound for Hizballah and other targets around Damascus. Russian sources reported rumors that President Bashar Assad was on the point of declaring war on Israel.
Russia Today claimed that an Israeli rocket strike Sunday caused heavy Syrian casualties – according to rumors, at least 300 members of the Syrian Army’s 501st Unit dead and hundreds filling four Damascus hospitals. DEBKAfile: If this is confirmed, then the unit which operates the chemical weapon facility at the Barzeh district north of Damascus at the foot of Mt. Qassioun was hit.

The same Russian source reported that Syrian security forces cordoned off the sites of the explosions against entry. Residents reported after the blasts that the ground moved with the force of a 4 magnitude earthquake.

Shortly after the Israel attacks in the Damascus area Sunday, the IDF posted additional Iron Dome anti-missile batteries in Haifa and Safed to defend those northern towns against incoming Syrian and Hizballah rockets.

Low-ranking Syrian and Iranian officials responded to the Israeli attacks on Syria: Deputy Information minister His Al-Yiftah commented by saying that “a new foreign element had entered the Syrian conflict overnight and this would cause war.”

In Tehran, an Iranian foreign ministry official condemned “Israeli aggression on Syria and accused Israel of fomenting instability and ethnic discord in the region.
An Israeli official confirmed to AFP that Israeli had Sunday conducted a second round of strikes in three days on advanced weapons including Iranian F-110 weapons bound for Hizballah in transit at Damascus international airport. Syrian TV reported only an attack on the Jamraya military research center just north of Damascus. This was the same facility which Israeli planes attacked in January.

‘Israel Air Force bombs Syrian chemical and other targets from Lebanon, Golan’

American sources reported Israeli air strikes Saturday, May 4, against a number of targets in Syria including a chemical weapons depot outside Damascus. They were carried out remotely from Lebanese air space and the Golan starting Friday and continuing up until early Saturday, May 3. Neither Damascus nor Jerusalem has yet confirmed the attacks in which according to US sources 16 IAF warplanes took part. According to one report, Israeli jets were seen early Saturday circling over Assad’s presidential compound in Damascus before moving on to target a weapons site. The Israeli jets reportedly received fire but returned to base unscathed.
Some sources say the target attacked was a convoy transporting chemical arms to the Lebanese Hizballah, which Israeli leaders have vowed to prevent.
DEBKAfile’s military sources say the start of the Israeli air force operation can be fixed by the sirens set off over the Golan Friday afternoon and again before dawn Saturday. The IDF spokesman said they were set off by a “technical glitch.” They now prove to have been triggered automatically by the Israeli aerial movements.

Friday, Lebanon reported a number of Israeli warplane intrusions of its air space.
DEBKAfile reported earlier that this week, thousands of Basij militiamen landed in Syria, establishing an Iranian military presence opposite Israel from Syria as well as Lebanon. They joined a comparable number of Hizballah militiamen fighting for the Bashar regime.

US officials recently gave Israel a video demonstration of the new features which enable its biggest bunker buster bomb (Massive Ordnance Penetrator) to destroy Iran’s underground uranium enrichment plant at Fordo near Qom, in a bid to dissuade Israel from a unilateral attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The video displayed the improved bomb, which Israel does not have, as hitting the ground near its target and setting off a massive underground explosion.
DEBKAfile’s military sources report that this videotaped demonstration was in line with the Obama administration’s latest campaign to convince Israel that the US is getting ready to strike Iran itself.
In actual fact, the improved American MOP is not news – any more than the Israeli Air Force’s possession of bombs capable of penetrating the Fordo underground plant. This capability has given Israeli officials the confidence to assert that Israel can destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities on its own.
What Washington has in common with Jerusalem is that while both make no secret of their capabilities – and Israeli leaders are also free with threatening rhetoric – neither is actually exercising them.

The only parties on the move are Iran and Hizballah.

At the end of the week, DEBKAfile’s military sources report that both established a military presence in Syria and Lebanon, just across Israel’s two northern borders. An Iranian airlift placed Iranian boots on the ground in Syria for the first time in more than two years of its civil war. It was also the first time Israel had ever seen uniformed Iranian soldiers present at close quarters on the soil of a close neighbor.

The arrivals are members of the violent Basij volunteer militia which is trained in urban combat tactics for suppressing anti-regime unrest in Iranian cities. They are the first Iranian troops to confront Syrian rebels in combat. Roughly 6,000-8,000 militiamen have arrived so far – a figure comparable to the size of the Hizhballah elite units fighting for Bashar Assad in Syria.

The Basij militiamen were stationed in Damascus and sent to guard Syrian Shiite border villages situated opposite Hizballah-controlled South Lebanon. This deployment has placed Iranian troops opposite the intersection of the Israeli, Syrian and Lebanese borders.
Iran’s expanding military intervention in Syria accounts partly for this week’s surprise call-up of thousands of Israeli reservists for duty on the country’s northern borders. Although they were sent home after 24 hours to disguise their mission and calm rising tensions, they were in fact ordered to report back Sunday, May 5. These reservists will then pick up the gear and weapons needed for real combat, and take up positions along Israel’s borders with Syria and Lebanon.
Sirens blared over parts of the Golan Friday, May 3, their sensors touched off by the preparations for these military movements. The official pretext offered of a “technical glitch” was about as convincing as the Israeli military spokesman’s attempt to deny knowing who sent a drone from Beirut towards Israel on April 25.
The sirens on the Golan were apparently not loud enough to be heard in Washington and Jerusalem.

The Israeli official is quoted as confirming an Israeli Air Force strike on Syria targeting a shipment of advanced weapons. Israeli leaders have vowed to do everything necessary to prevent advanced weapons, including anti-air S-17 missiles and Scuds, or unconventional weapons, such as chemicals, being sent out of Syria and reaching the Lebanese Hizballah.

While readers of this blog realize – or they should – that Israel’s political leaders leave much to be desired (and this is an understatement!), but when it comes to the IDF, let us just say that the outcome will be definitive, unlike in 2006 when they left (due to a lack of backbone, thus hewing to Washington’s dictates) Hezbollah standing, despite the rubble surrounding them. The leadership finally realize the jig is up, if they leave the enemy intact. Israeli military activity is reported in Lebanon Saturday, May 4 and not just over Syria.
US sources said earlier Israeli warplanes had struck targets in Syria including a chemical weapons depot outside Damascus, firing missiles remotely from Lebanese air space and the Golan starting Friday and continuing up until early Saturday, May 3. An Israeli spokesman confirmed only an air strike in Syria against a shipment of long-range surface missiles.
The latest reports from Lebanon point to expanding Israeli military activity inside Lebanon as well.
They describe Israeli warplanes as flying “at a medium altitude over the Eastern and Western Mountain ranges of the Beqaa Valley.” DEBKAfile: Hizballah strongholds are located in this region which is close to the Syrian border. Other warplanes were described as heading north over Beirut.

One Lebanese source claimed Israeli ground troops had descended from the Mt. Dov-Hermon range, crossed the Lebanese border and entered the Shebaa Farms region.
None of these reports are confirmed by Israel, Lebanon or Syria. But DEBKAfilenotes that if Israeli troops have indeed penetrated Lebanon to a depth of 5-7 kilometers and reached the Shebaa Farms, they have taken up positions opposite the 30 Syrian Shiite villages guarded by incoming Iranian elite Basij militiamen.

DEBKAfile reported exclusively Friday that thousands of Basij militiamen had just been airlifted from Iran to Syria, establishing an Iranian military presence opposite Israel from Syria as well as Lebanon. They joined a comparable number of Hizballah militiamen fighting for the Bashar regime.

Given the rush of adverse military developments across Israel’s northern borders, its operations in Syria and Lebanon are expected to continue and even expand.
This is also indicated by last week’s mobilization of thousands of reservists for an event termed by the IDF spokesman “a military exercise” beginning Sunday, May 5 along Israel’s borders with Syria and Lebanon.

The spokesman was clearly trying to misdirect attention from Israel’s preparations for an important military operation by announcing a routine drill.
DEBKAfile adds: The initial claim by Syria, Iran and Hizballah of ignorance of any Israeli action is unlikely to hold up for long. They might keep up the act if the Israeli strike turned out to be a one-off against a single target – the picture the “Israeli official” tried to present after the event.
But if there is more to come, Bashar Assad, Ali Khamenei and Hassan Nasrallah will not let Israel go unchallenged. This threesome is undoubtedly on the phone at this moment working on their response.

When the government acts beyond the law, like in the recent Fast and Furious, don’t “we the people” have a right to ask questions of our government?

Is asking questions of your government a crime?

Al – the piggy – Gore got more than he bargained for in his MEGA cash sellout of American interests to Al Jazeera. In fact, others are in danger of becoming duly ensnared. Oh, the tangled web greed conceives, as both Demsters and (some) Repubs have equally sold out the national interest. Lower than pond scum. Vermin.

But as is said, every dog has its day, and some more so than others. So along comes a pissed off deal maker (kismet…magically delicious…comeuppance galore…) and Gore and crew are in his cross hairs.

‘EXPLOSIVE New Development in Current TV sale to Al Jazeera!’

Don’t look now but the controversy over the sale of Current TV to Al Jazeera just became a whole lot more significant, thanks to what appears to be a scorned architect of the deal named John Terenzio, who has filed a lawsuitagainst Current TV. These latest developments also make House Homeland Security Committee chairman, Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) look pretty bad.

Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival sent a letter to McCaul back on January 9th (which was co-signed by Walid), in which Kincaid laid out the case for why McCaul should convene hearings into the sale.

McCaul’s office has expressed no interest in pursuing such an investigation. In fact, when Kincaid finally got a staffer from McCaul’s office to talk to him, thestaffer told him, “We’re not listening to you. You’re not going to drive our agenda.”

Thanks to the lawsuit filed by Terenzio, we may be getting closer to why McCaul isn’t doing his job relative to investigating this sale.

As is almost always the case, if you want to get to the truth about something, follow the money. In the case of the Current TV / Al Jazeera deal, there has been a lot of lobbying.

On his March 10th radio show, Ben Barrack interviewed Kincaid about this new Current TV / Al Jazeera bombshell:

In essence, Terenzio alleges that he helped to put the sale together and came up with a strategy that would help the sale go through. One of his ideas – according to the lawsuit – is that Terenzio is the one who came up with the name ‘Al Jazeera America’. He says he was stiffed and is owed at minimum, $5 Million.

The suit says Terenzio made his presentation to Richard Blum, husband of Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein, and an investor in Current TV. The suit says that Blum and others involved in Current TV were “concerned about the prospect of losing their shirts” and wanted to find a buyer for their little-watched channel.

The suit says that it was believed that Al Gore would find a sale to Al Jazeera “politically unappealing” but that Blum promised to present it to him.

“Plaintiffs are informed and believe that Gore was adamant in his rejection of the proposal to sell his liberal environmentally friendly network to the oil rich Qataris who owned Al Jazeera,” it says.

Al Gore apparently changed his mind. Perhaps the $500 million price tag, with $100 million going to him personally, was a factor.

If McCaul was successfully lobbied to look the other way on this deal, it should be considered a major offense and absolutely contrary to the position he holds as chairman of a Homeland Security Committee. Al Jazeera is the media arm of the enemy that hit the United States on 9/11/01 and it is beyond disgraceful for McCaul not to convene hearings.

Fortunately, for now, another Congressman has taken interest. His name isRep. Tim Murphy (R-PA). While Murphy is not on the Homeland Security Committee, he is on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and has taken interest in investigating the sale.

Here is the contact page for the committee McCaul chairs. Please contact them and demand hearings into the sale of Current TV to Al Jazeera. While you’re at it, contact Rep. Murphy’s office and encourage him not to give up the fight.

When it comes to this deal, it’s a matter of duty – patriotic or dereliction.

Rep. McCaul has an important decision to make in this regard.

Outing the bums (those still in office and others who have flown the coop, yet still feed off their insider connections) is an American obligation. Encouraging the “few good men/women” (inside and outside Congress) is the highest imperative.
