This site’s main converging theses involving Benghazigate are akin to jigsaw puzzle pieces, yet they possess several moving parts. And while regular puzzle parts have to fit neatly into their designated board, such is not the case in the high stakes “game” of geo-politics, whereby moving parts are often more valuable than static ones.  

Now, readers surely recall the insane concoction from Obama Inc’s mouthpieces: yes, the video made the jihadis kill Americans in Benghazi…as believable as “the dog ate the homework” fib, yet this was no grade school tall tale. But once the above lie lost its legs, tidbits of truth started seeping through.

Let us recap some of the essential charges, and then the reader will understand why Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood Mafia are the main culprits, of which Al Qaeda is an offshoot. The lessons learned will then illuminate the trail, highlighting why he has fought so hard to protect his Brothers from the long-arm of (what was once) American justice.  

Enter the Blind Sheikh…and the Egyptian Brotherhood’s die hard push to release him from U.S. imprisonment. Mind you, this terrorist is so important to their pyramid that he is also front and center at this American-Israeli’s op-ed, The Opening of Jihad On U.S. Soil, written back in November 2005. Most recently, he made an “appearance” at this site in The Impending Release Of The Blood Soaked Terror Sheikh. An important fella indeed. A superstar. 

Most significantly, the Brotherhood Mafia (regardless of their address, be it Egypt, Syria or any other Islamic nation world over, including Washington’s power centers !) is so tightly woven into Obama Inc.’s DNA, as punishment for deposing Morsi, Washington has ordered the cut off of the financial spigot, as linkage to the re-installment of the Brotherhood to power ! What?

Ironclad: Egypt Involved in Benghazi Attacks – videos embedded

A Libyan intelligence document has been produced that directly implicates Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood president Mohammed Mursi in the attacks on American installations in Benghazi on 9/11/12. Those who attempt to discredit this document run into trouble when it is coupled with real-time video we uncovered on 9/13/12. In that video, gunmen at the scene of the attack can be heard declaring that they were sent by Mursi. After weeks of attempting to push the narrative that a video was responsible, the Obama administration ultimately had to concede that the attacks in Benghazi were terrorist in nature.
A few months after 9/11/12, the top lawyer for the Pentagon stated that the war on terror should be wagedby “law enforcement and intelligence agencies”.Based on the Obama administration’s standard, the Benghazi attacks should be treated as a crimeinstead of as an act of war.
Therefore, let us bring forth the evidence, which implicates the leader of a nation state (Egypt) in the attack and warrants a grand jury (House of Representatives) investigation to decide if administration officials should be indicted (impeached).Since we’re deciding who to indict, we must look at evidence of involvement in the attack. Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood President – Mohammed Mursi – is a good place to start. Our first two exhibits are both damning but when taken together, may just constitute a ‘smoking gun’.
EXHIBIT A is a video shot from a cell phone at the scene of the attacks. In this video, gunmen are seen running toward the camera, toward other gunmen. At one point – in Arabic which we have confirmed – one approaching gunman says, “Don’t Shoot us! We were sent by Mursi!”. Even though the video is in Arabic, you can discern the word “Mursi”.A Libyan Intelligence document 
(EXHIBIT B) has now been brought forward by credible Arabic translator Raymond Ibrahim. This document discusses the confessions of six members of an Egyptian Ansar al-Sharia cell who were arrested and found to be involved in the Benghazi attacks. Ibrahim reported the following about this document:

It discusses the preliminary findings of the investigation, specifically concerning an “Egyptian cell” which was involved in the consulate attack. “Based on confessions derived from some of those arrested at the scene” six people, “all of them Egyptians” from the jihad group Ansar al-Sharia (“Supporters of Islamic Law), were arrested.

According to the report, during interrogations, these Egyptian jihadi cell members “confessed to very serious and important information concerning the financial sources of the group and the planners of the event and the storming and burning of the U.S. consulate in Benghazi…. And among the more prominent figures whose names were mentioned by cell members during confessions were: Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi…

Upon doing even further analysis of this document, we found that it aligned with even more evidence we uncovered back in September.

For example, in addition to mentioning Egypt, Mursi, and Ansar al-Sharia, the document also mentions Al-Nas TV and Dar Al-Hekma, both of which we raised red flags about in the days and weeks after the Benghazi attacks.

Let’s consider the timeline of events leading up to and including 9/11/12:

Thursday, September 6th: According to the Wall Street Journal, this was the day that the 14-minute Innocence of Muslims video trailer was sent to “journalists around the world”. Some of the video was translated into Arabic.

Friday, September 7th: Egypt’s Wisam Abdul Waris of Dar Al-Hekma (yes, the same Dar Al-Hekma identified in the Libyan Intelligence document) publicly denounces Innocence of Muslims. He does so while calling for the criminalization of any defamation of Islam, even in non-Muslim countries.

Saturday, September 8th: Al-Nas (yes, the same Al-Nas identified in the Libyan Intelligence document) talk show host Khalid Abdallah, who is sympathetic to the more fundamentalist, Salafi Muslims, interviewed a Muslim activist named Mohammad Hamdy and aired translated portions of the Innocence of Muslims video that for weeks, Obama administration officials attempted to blame for the Benghazi attacks. Reuters reported days later that the airing of these clips from the video was “the flashpoint” for the protests in Cairo and attacks in Benghazi. Here is the video of the exchange. Portions of the Innocence of Muslims video are aired beginning at the 5:46 mark:

Sunday, September 9th: An interview with Wisam Abdul Waris is uploaded to YouTube. A translated excerpt of what Waris said is beneath the video:

“We have moved to review with Mr. Rifai all the legal procedures today by which we created The Voice of Wisdom Coalition (I’itilaf Sawt al-Hekma); it will hold accountable everyone who insults Islam locally and internationally, in accordance with every country’s laws. We all know the problems Yasser Al-Habib had in London and after that in Berlin… in Germany, an extremist group was allowed to publicize cartoons that insult the prophet in front of the Salafist Mosque in Berlin, through a legal decision. So what we did was to ask Sharabi Mahmoud to reject this legal decision on behalf of the Egyptian people who are Muslim; for this reason, we created this coalition. We also made an official request from the Church in Egypt to issue a public announcement, to state it has nothing to do with this deed.”

At this point, let’s introduce the YouTube channel of Sam Bacile. It is later learned that Bacile is actually Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the man behind the Innocence of Muslims video. At one time, two videos appeared on the Feed tab of Bacile’s channel. Sometime between September 9th – 11th, the administrator commented on the Waris video.

About one week earlier, Bacile identified the other video that appeared on his channel as one of his favorites; it is a video of Nader Bakkar, the official spokesman of the Salafist Nour Party. Bakkar and Waris joined forces in the effort expressed by Waris on September 7th. Here is a screenshot:

Also at one time, Bacile had one video “Like”. It’s curious that this video featured an interview with a British female convert to Islam:

Though the video is no longer associated with the Sam Bacile YouTube channel, it is still posted:

The New York Times reported that the Sam Bacile YouTube account was actually opened and maintained by Bakoula’s son, Abanob Nakoula.

Monday, September 10th: One day prior to the anniversary of the 9/11/01 attacks, U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens – the highest ranking State Department official in Libya – arrives in Benghazi from Tripoli and is due to return to Tripoli on the 14th. Despite warnings and previous attacks, the U.S. Special Mission Compound (SMC) in Benghazi was woefully insecure and not equipped to protect Stevens.

As an aside, the State Department didn’t just drop Stevens inside a compound that wasn’t sufficiently secured. It hired the February 17th Martyrs Brigade to provide security. The F17MB has allegiances to both Al-Qaeda and one of the groups identified in that Libyan Intelligence document mentioned earlier.

Several entries on the militia’s Facebook page openly profess sympathy for Ansar al-Sharia, the hardline Islamist extremist group widely blamed for the deadly attack on the mission. The State Department did not respond to a Newsmax request for an explanation as to why the February 17th Martyrs Brigade was hired to protect the mission.

An Interim Progress Report released by the House Oversight Committee stated the following about F17MB:

Numerous reports have indicated that the Brigade had extremist connections, and it had been implicated in the kidnapping of American citizens as well as in the threats against U.S. military assets.

It should be noted that Almogaz News reported that Ansar Al-Sharia of Egypt is a “Salafist group” (keep in mind that Al-Nas is also Salafist). The mission of Ansar al-Sharia – according to Almogaz – is to “release Islamist prisoners”.

Tuesday, September 11th: The itinerary for Ambassador Stevens says that he is to meet with F7MB at 11:00am but next to this are the handwritten words, “Another day”.

The itinerary was drafted on September 8th, which is also the same day that F7MB made it knownthey would be pulling back on support:

…on September 8, 2012, just days before Ambassador Stevens arrived in Benghazi, the February 17 Martyrs Brigade told State Department officials that the group would no longer support U.S. movements in the city, including the Ambassador’s visit.

The attack on the SMC is launched later that evening. Sean Smith is killed in the attack but the body of Christopher Stevens could not be located and was later removed by Libyans and taken to a hospital under the control of Ansar al-Sharia, according to the testimony of Gregory Hicks, who became the highest-ranking State Department official in Libya after Stevens passed away.

At the Washington Free Beacon, (EXHIBIT B-1) Bill Gertz reported on the shocking but unconfirmed claim made by an al-Qaeda terrorist named Abdallah Dhu-al-Bajadin:

An al Qaeda terrorist stated in a recent online posting that U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was killed by lethal injection after plans to kidnap him during the Sept. 11, 2012 terror attack in Benghazi went bad.

While the charge that Stevens was killed by lethal injection is unsubstantiated, evidence that the attack on the Benghazi SMC was about kidnapping, not murder, is corroborated by multiple pieces of evidence. If true, what would be the motive behind the kidnapping of the top State Department official in Libya?

That the attack was planned and involved foreigners (Egyptians) corroborates what Libyan President Mohamed Yousef el-Magariaf told CBS News’ Bob Scheiffer on Face the Nation on Sunday, September 16th (EXHIBIT C):

BOB SCHIEFFER: And you believe that this was the work of al Qaeda and you believe that it was led by foreigners. Is that– is that what you are telling us?

MOHAMED YOUSEF EL-MAGARIAF: It was planned– definitely, it was planned by foreigners, by people who– who entered the country a few months ago, and they were planning this criminal act since their– since their arrival.

Relative to Mursi’s alleged involvement, El-Magariaf provided only circumstantial evidence by identifying attackers as being “foreigners” but in retrospect, the Libyan president’s claims that day are corroborated by the Libyan Intelligence document and the real-time video.

Also on September 16, 2012, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice appeared on five Sunday talk shows and asserted the attack was the result of a spontaneous demonstration in response to a video. Here are quotes from Rice’s appearance on ABC This Week, during which she said the following (EXHIBIT D):

“What happened this week in Cairo, in Benghazi, in many other parts of the region was a result, a direct result of a heinous and offensive video that was widely disseminated, that the U.S. Government had nothing to do with, which we have made clear is reprehensible and disgusting.”

At a minimum, Rice was directing attention away from Mursi’s involvement with this demonstrably false statement. A short time later, she went as far as directly defending Mursi…………(continue reading all the evidence at the initial article, Ironclad….)

It is not for nothing that this blogger keeps linking Barack HUSSEIN Obama back to the Muslim Brotherhood Mafia. In starkest terms, the leader of the free world is, in one form or another, a member of the Brotherhood. YES, you read that right, an actual member.

Now, this is not a charge that is coming from thin air, nor is it a blithely mentioned indictment of the leader of the free world. Hardly. But two trusted investigative journalist contacts, both of whom operate independently of one another, and VERY plugged in professionals – who must, for obvious safety reasons, remain nameless…Hastings, Breitbart and the rest – have evidence to back up their claims. Not only that, but Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s Brotherhood status is precisely why approximately 8 billion in U. S. payoffs was given to Egypt’s Brotherhood, as “guarantees” for their silence. What does this all mean?

In plain language, the leader of the free world is only as useful as his ability to deliver the goods. How many times has this blog termed the Brotherhood a Mafia? Again, not for nothing. As such, they are in possession of a paper trail, one which, if released, would blow Obama (and his Islamic-leaning Washington surrogates) straight into jail cells – or worse.

There are so many illegal actions swirling overhead on Capitol Hill it is nigh impossible to keep abreast, even if one is as tuned in as this blogger tends to be. Invariably, some poopings will fall through the cracks, yet it is not for lack of effort or relevant access.

Be that as it may, several remain a focal point, most intrinsically: Benghazigate, IRSgate, NSAgate, DOJgate as well as Fast & Furious. But before we catch up with one in particular it is instructive to take note of the following: if there is no “there there”, then surely opening up “this and that” to the public – and subjecting its aftermath to the light of day – should be warranted and certainly not hushed up. You think? Yet, if the opposite is the case, to hell with the First Amendment, and hiding under the guise of “security” and other made up out of whole cloth concerns suddenly becomes a mitigating factor. Give us all a break…so many tall tales…who can keep up!

Indeed, freedom of religion (NOT including the jihadist kind) and freedom of expression (but screaming fire in a crowded auditorium, for example, is hardly “protected” expression/speech) is sacrosanct, at least it is supposed to be in America. As such, some who retire from security-related posts are inclined to pen their memoirs, even though they are usually vetted by their former employers/superiors. No problem with that.

To be sure, no one at this site is suggesting that national security isn’t a critical concern, however, pointing out a program which ACTUALLY endangers U.S. interests – for whatever reason – must be fair game. If not, some who harbor less than an American agenda will continue as is and many citizens will be at risk. Well, in third world countries silencing whistle blowers is the norm, but is it the “new” normal in America? Hope not. Which leads us back to Fast & Furious and the censorship fight ahead.

ATF tries to block whistleblowing agent’s Fast and Furious book

1st Amendment battle over ‘gun-walking’ expose

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is blocking the main whistleblower in the Fast and Furious case from publishing a book for pay, claiming his retelling of the Mexico “gun-walking” scandal will hurt morale inside the embattled law enforcement agency, according to documents obtained by The Washington Times.

ATF’s dispute with Special Agent John Dodson is setting up a First Amendment showdown that is poised to bring together liberal groups like the American Civil Liberties Union and conservatives in Congress who have championed Mr. Dodson’s protection as a whistleblower.

The ACLU is slated to become involved in the case Monday, informing ATF it is representing Mr. Dodson and filing a formal protest to the decision to reject his request to publish the already written book, sources told The Times, speaking only on the condition of anonymity.

The battle also could have repercussions on Capitol Hill, where the two lead investigators who helped uncover the Fast and Furious scandal, Sen. Chuck Grassley, Iowa Republican, and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell E. Issa, Calif. Republican, had written a foreword to the book, the sources said.

ATF officials declined Sunday night to discuss Mr. Dodson’s specific matter, citing personnel privacy. But the officials said it was possible for an agent to be rejected for publishing a book for pay but get permission to publish it for free. No manuscript for any Fast and Furious book has received approval for unpaid publication, however, the officials said.

Mr. Dodson was the first ATF special agent to go public in 2011 with allegations that his supervisors had authorized the flow of semi-automatic weapons into Mexico instead of interdicting them, touching off a scandal that toppled most of the top leadership of ATF in Washington and Phoenix. The controversy also led to angry recriminations in Mexico, which dealt with a wave of violent crime linked to the weapons, and high-profile congressional hearings that embarrassed the Obama administration.

Mr. Dodson began penning a book late last year about his role as the central whistleblower in the case and in June sought formal permission for outside employment that would allow him to engage a publisher and publish the book.

Documents show that one of Mr. Dodson’s supervisors in Arizona, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Carlos Canino, rejected his request July 19 and was backed in the decision by the agent in charge of the office, Thomas G. Atteberry, four days later.

Their rejection made no claims that the book would release sensitive or classified information or compromise ongoing law enforcement proceedings.

Rather, the supervisors offered a different reason for their decision. “This would have a negative impact on morale in the Phoenix [Field Division] and would have a detrimental effect on our relationships with DEA and FBI.”

The ATF general counsel’s office subsequently sanctioned the decision, all but killing the book project.

“An employee’s supervisory chain may disapprove any outside employment request for any reason, at any supervisory level,” ATF attorney Greg Serres wrote Mr. Dodson on Aug. 29, underlining the word “any” for emphasis. “The Office of Chief Counsel cannot approve outside employment requests in lieu of the supervisory chain’s disapproval.

“Therefore, your request to engage in outside employment is denied,” he said.

Separately, a top ATF official has been reviewing Mr. Dodson’s manuscript for any concerns about sensitive or classified information, potentially leaving open the possibility a process by which it could be published for free, a senior law enforcement official told The Times.

The gun-walking strategy — part of an undercover case called Fast and Furious — violated ATF’s long-standing policy to interdict weapons from straw buyers.

In all, ATF officials permitted more than 1,700 semi-automatic weapons to flow through the hands of straw buyers for the Mexican cartels, with many crossing the border.

Senior ATF officials hoped to trace the guns to crimes, then make a bigger case against the Mexican drug lords. The strategy, however, backfired when hundreds of the weapons began showing up at crime scenes on both sides of the border, including at the December 2010 murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

The Justice Department initially denied guns knowingly had been allowed to flow across the border, then months later reversed course and admitted the tactic had been used for more than a year. The change in story led to allegations of a cover-up.

The revelations exploded into public in spring 2011, catapulting Mr. Dodson and other ATF field agents who had objected into dual investigations by Congress and the Justice Department inspector general.

President Obama and Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. both claimed they knew nothing about the strategy until the controversy erupted, but the president has invoked executive privilege to block Congress from seeing certain documents, thus thwarting the completion of that probe. A court recently ruled in favor of Congress in the ongoing legal dispute.

Both the congressional and inspector general investigations concluded that the gun-walking tactics were poorly conceived and put lives in jeopardy. The fallout forced the ouster of numerous top officials, including the U.S. attorney in Phoenix, Dennis Burke, and the acting director of the ATF, Kenneth Melson.

The ATF, under new director B. Todd Jones, says it has imposed sweeping procedures to ensure gun-walking doesn’t occur in future cases.

The book dispute with Mr. Dodson, however, is not the first First Amendment controversy to erupt in the aftermath of the scandal.

Last year, Mr. Jones raised alarm in Congress and inside his own agency when he released a videotaped message that warned agencies that there would be “consequences” if agents blew the whistle on wrongdoing outside their chain of command.

The message led to claims that whistleblowing would be chilled, and ATF subsequently clarified Mr. Jones‘ remarks to emphasize that the agency would not interfere with legitimate whistleblowing activities.

Patriots are receiving blows from both ends, sort of like a double-barreled shotgun. On the one hand, a hammer effect is chipping away at one freedom after another. This is no longer debatable, it is fact-based. On the flip side, those who are tasked to protect citizens’ rights are doing no such thing. Consider the detrimental, runaway results from AG Holder’s fiefdom, and then juxtapose them against the military-style gearing up of police forces.

Does it appear that there is any official entity a citizen-patriot can reliably count on? Not from this laser-focused patriot’s lens.

Obama Inc/CIA Designs “False Flag” Production Set: The Toppling Of Syria’s Assad. To What End? Commentary By Adina Kutnicki

The most renegade, radical, revolutionary regime in U.S. history is Obama Inc. and the civilized – and not so civilized – world is viewing a window into their treachery.

Many contend that they are a bumbling crew and are out of their depth in both domestic and foreign policy issues. Absolutely not. For the historical record, their actions are purposeful and decidedly anti-American.

For a glimpse into said charges, let us start with some building blocks:

Well before his reelection, this blog warned about the ensuing nightmare from a second term Obama presidency, and its thesis has indeed come to pass. Not long after, a regime gone wild more than proved said prognostication. But aside from Obama Inc.’s specific red/green allied plans, a clear cut case was made which demonstrated the outcome when radical revolutionaries gained the helm. NO charges at this site have ever been made in a vacuum. But do take special note of the co-option of the Pentagon and CIA by the same radical forces, even before Hagel and Brennan officially took over. 

So, aside from countless other indictments within these pages, one stands above the others, at least in the realm of their deliberate foreign policy fires – Benghazigate, which in turn leads us straight into Syria and the HEART of the matter. 

Obama Admin Produced Fake News Of Syrian Dictator Being Toppled

The failed novelist, once Obama speech writer, now National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes wrote a series of phony newscasts showing Syrian president Bashar al-Assad being overthrown.

Huge movie sets of the al-Assad presidential palace were built in Saudi Arabia, overseen by our own CIA, in which doubles of al-Assad and his generals are depicted fleeing the Free Syrian Army.

The Hollywood-like operation had an army of special effects crew, stuntmen, and makeup artists that rivaled most studios.

The phony footage was to be fed through Arab League-controlled satellites, preempting regular Syrian newscasts, making the Syrian people think their government had just been toppled.

The CIA-controlled CNN would then re-broadcast the phony footage, causing the world to think al-Assad had been overthrown.  While Syria was mired in anarchy, a real coup would take place; and Obama would ride in on his white horse, installing another Islamic regime.

The plan, scheduled to occur on June 15, 2012, never happened because Syrian officials got wind of it and put a stop to it. The White House and CNN then buried the story down the memory hole and created a new fiction: al-Assad’s August 21, 2013 chemical weapons attack, also nowproved to be fake, perpetrated by Obama’s own al-Qaeda rebels in order to warrant a U.S. bombing campaign.

This according to Tony Cartalucci’s book, War on Syria: Gateway to World War III and his subsequent blockbuster articles.

NO sane non-jihadi would argue that Assad is anything but a stone cold killer and that getting rid of him – particularly due to his allegiance to Iran’s Hitlerite regime – is not a western interest. However, this is not Obama Inc.’s impetus, and this fact has been proven beyond a doubt. 

In the main, the Islamist-in-Chief and his captured/captivated surrogates have chosen sides in the centuries old jihadist struggle, having thrown America’s weight in with the Muslim Brotherhood Mafia, of which Al Qaeda/Al Nusra is in the forefront. You got that? Instead of removing the boot of Iran’s regime from the region – thereby completely weakening Assad in the process – back in 2009, as Iranian freedom fighters bled in the streets, Barack HUSSEIN Obama gave them the finger. 

YET, even the leader of the mighty super power can’t control all events, and geo-politics inherently involves fast moving parts with many knock-on components. Blow back. 

In effect, as Syria’s rulers got wind of Obama Inc.’s celluloid-designed coup – to help usher in an authentic one – Benghazigate, with its own tailwind, exploded on the scene and Obama Inc. revised its plans.

YES, and while all of the above was exploding, Obama Inc. didn’t count on Morsi’s Brotherhood Mafia being swept from power, another regional and unanticipated blow back. As such, as most Islamists at heart are wont to do, they have little aversion to switching sides midstream, understanding that the “strong horse” is the best way forward to march on the west.   

To the civilized world’s horror, the leader of the once free world is completely on board with both Syria and Iran. And this was predicted too through all the above.

To be a patriot – at least in the western sense – has zero to do with ones skin color, sex or ethnicity. What it has to do with is a person’s adherence/appreciation for G-d given personal liberty and freedom.

This site has amassed a trove of evidence, detailing why Obama is ripe for impeachment. Consider: what about a regime gone wild shouldn’t lead to actionable judgment? Let us continue to count his crimes against the American people via trampling on the Constitution: IRSgate, Benghazigate and NSAgate are opening shots.

A Florida-based organization of black Republicans is calling for Barack Obama’s impeachment, releasing “Articles” that charge him with “egregious acts of despotism that constitute high crimes and misdemeanors.”

According to the Florida WatchdogWire, there are 10 articles including obstruction of the investigation into the Benghazi, Libya, murder of four Americans; the scandal of the administration’s running guns to drug ring lords in Mexico and the Internal Revenue Service’s campaign to obstruct the operations of conservative and Christian organizations.

The National Black Republican Association is an organization that is dedicated to returning “black Americans to their Republican Party roots by enlightening them about how Republicans fought for their freedom and civil rights, and are now fighting for their educational and economic advancement.”

The organization said the articles were delivered to Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker John Boehner, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and the Judiciary Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives.

“On July 4, 1776, the founders of our nation declared their independence from governmental tyranny and reaffirmed their faith in independence with the ratification of the Bill of Rights in 1791. Asserting their right to break free from the tyranny of a nation that denied them the civil liberties that are our birthright, the founders declared: ‘When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty to throw off such government…”

Brand new! “Impeachable Offenses” reveals the evidence of the crimes Barack Obama has committed against the United States.

The Constitution also requires that a president or vice president “Shall be removed from office” for treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

The challenge to Obama lists Benghazi, his disclosure of secret grand jury material about Benghazi, the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal, his authorization of the provision of confidential income tax returns to outside interests, the IRS audits of conservatives, the electronic surveillance by the National Security Agency of innocent Americans, the Department of Justice’s wiretaps on journalists, the thwarting of the will of the people over the Defense of Marriage Act, his unconstitutional appointments of three members of the National Labor Relations Board and his intimidation of whistleblowers.

“Barack H. Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, by such conduct, warrants impeachment and trial, and removal from office,” the articles finish.

Just a few days earlier, a member of Congress said there likely would be votes enough in the House to impeach.

But Rep. Blake Farenthold, R-Texas, said it would be ineffectual because the Democrats in control in the Senate never would take any action.

Buzzfeed reported Farenthold responded to a question from a constituent at an open house.

The Constitution also requires a president to be a natural-born citizen, which the Founders apparently defined as the offspring of two citizens of the nation. Obama’s father never was a U.S. citizen.

The issue got so much attention during Obama’s first term that he presented a document he claimed was his birth certificate from the state of Hawaii.

Since then, Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his Cold Case Posse investigative team have concluded the document is a fraud.

WND has reported that members of Congress are expressing interest in the dispute.

Farenthold said at the open house Saturday that it’s probably too late to address the matter.

“I think unfortunately the horse is already out of the barn on this, on the whole birth certificate issue,” said the congressman. “The original Congress, when his eligibility came up, should have looked into it, and they didn’t. I’m not sure how we fix it.”

Farenthold told the audience in Luling, Texas: “You tie into a question I get a lot: ‘If everyone’s so unhappy with what the president’s done, why don’t you impeach him?’ I’ll give you a real frank answer about that: If we were to impeach the president tomorrow, you could probably get the votes in the House of Representatives to do it. But it would go to the Senate and he wouldn’t be convicted.”

He cited the impeachment of President Bill Clinton, who was not convicted by the Senate.

That episode, he said, “redefined sex” for a lot of young people.

“What message do we sent to America if we impeach Obama and he gets away with what he’s impeached for and he is found innocent? What then do we say is OK?” Farenthold asked.

There already is a grass roots movement called Overpasses For Obama’s Impeachment, and members are staging protests on freeway overpasses, calling for impeachment.

WND also has reported Watergate investigator Bob Woodward of the Washington Post compares Obama to Richard Nixon. And there’s a national petition that calls on Congress to immediately investigate the “unconstitutional and impeachable offenses” of Obama.

The latest American group to seek formal congressional action against Obama says on its website that its goal is simple: “The removal of the corrupt and criminal president of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama.”

“His actions go unimpeded, our pleas through petitions unanswered. Our calls and letters to Congress are left ignored and unopened,” the group’s online post explains. “Our only peaceful recourse is to take to the streets and overpasses of America and DEMAND that our nation be returned to We the People, and that Barack Hussein Obama be impeached, removed from office, and held accountable for his actions while serving as president.”

The overpass protest group says America “is in its greatest time of peril in since the Founding Fathers bravely fought in the Revolutionary War.”

“Lady Liberty is calling YOU to stand up, to speak out, to take to the streets and DEMAND that the corrupt tyrant be removed from the White House, and all of those who colluded with him in his crimes against the United States be held accountable to the full extent of the law, with the maximum sentences handed down upon them.”

WND has reported previously on many calls for Obama’s impeachment, which would put him in the company of Nixon and Bill Clinton.

The petition states: “Therefore, we the undersigned urge Congress to immediately undertake a full and impartial investigation into the many blatantly unconstitutional actions of Barack Obama. For members of Congress, each of whom has also sworn a solemn oath to uphold the Constitution, to allow a president to routinely flout the Supreme Law of the land without being held accountable is equally repugnant to a free country and a free press.”

Tens of thousands already are on board with the effort, which is just the latest in a long string of calls for impeachment or an investigation.

Impeachment has been brought up by several WND columnists, too.

Nat Hentoff wrote that Obama, “since taking office, has continually limited the First Amendment, the most singular and powerful right that distinctly identifies Americans from residents in all other countries on Earth.”

Columnist Bert Prelutsky took it further.

“I want Obama to go through the process because he has it coming. In totalitarian states, after all, the people have no other recourse except to take to the streets and spill blood. But we have available the process of impeachment, and Obama should be forced to defend his contemptible lies and actions,” he wrote. “If for no other reason than his unbearable arrogance, the schmuck should have to pay a penalty. For instance, when a White House reporter asked him to justify spying on the Associated Press, Obama said, ‘I’ve still got 60,000-plus troops in Afghanistan and I still have a bunch of intelligence officers around the world.’ No, sir, the United States has 60,000-plus troops in Afghanistan and a bunch of intelligence officers around the world.”

A panel of top constitutional experts convened by WND blasted Obama’s actions in office. Bruce Fein, the legal scholar who is best known for having drafted articles of impeachment against former President Clinton for perjury after he lied under oath, said Obama’s orders to drone-kill a terror suspect were “tantamount to murder.”

“You can’t have democracy and the rule of law if you never get to know what the facts are and you just have to accept what the government says they are. If you don’t have a trial, that’s the definition of tyranny.”

Louis Fisher, a scholar in residence at the Constitution Project, said of Obama’s appointment of “czars”: “That is a big deal. A lot of people say, ‘Well, that’s been going on a long time.’ In our form of government, citizens vote for representatives and representatives pass laws. You have people heading departments, and they’re confirmed. There’s an understanding that we will call you up whenever we need to. … Congress passed legislation saying there’d be no funds for three czars, and they were named in the bill. Obama signed it into the law, but in the signing statement, he said that’s unconstitutional because he has the ‘prerogative’ to get the advice he needs to implement statutes. Well, c’mon Obama. You don’t have a prerogative to bring into the White House anybody you want at any salary. It’s all done by law. It goes back to 1978 where Congress passed legislation saying you have this number of people and these are their salaries and Congress can increase or decrease that at any time.”

And Herbert Titus, counsel to the law firm William J. Olson who previously taught constitutional law, common law and other subjects for 30 years at five different American Bar Association-approved law schools, said Obama’s military actions in Libya are a strong argument for impeachment.

“That’s the one that stands out. It’s unprecedented. It doesn’t even fit within any of the precedents that have been set since Korea.”

Obama should have seen such a move coming. A recent poll earlier this year said half of Americans say he should be impeached.

“It may be early in the process for members of Congress to start planning for impeachment of Barack Obama, but the American public is building a serious appetite for it,” said Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies, which did the telephone poll.

Half or nearly half of those surveyed said they believed Obama should be impeached for the multitude of scandals now consuming Washington.

On the issue of the Benghazi scandal, in which four Americans were killed after terror threats were ignored, 50.1 percent of Americans said Obama should be impeached. That included 27.6 percent of the responding Democrats.

On the IRS harassment of conservative and Christian organizations? Forty-nine percent said they agree that impeachment is appropriate, including 24.4 percent of the Democrats.

And on the fishing trip the Obama administration took into AP reporters’ telephone records in search of a security breach that may have been done by his own administration, 48.6 percent said impeachment is appropriate. That included 26.1 percent of the Democrats.

Former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan wrote that the country is in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate.

“The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous<” she said. “No one likes what they’re seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration’s credibility deeply, probably irretrievably damaged. They don’t look jerky now, they look dirty. The patina of high-mindedness the president enjoyed is gone.

Noonan said Obama, “as usual, acts as if all of this is totally unconnected to him.”

“He’s shocked, it’s unacceptable, he’ll get to the bottom of it. He read about it in the papers, just like you. But he is not unconnected, he is not a bystander. This is his administration. Those are his executive agencies. He runs the IRS and the Justice Department,” she continued. “A president sets a mood, a tone. He establishes an atmosphere. If he is arrogant, arrogance spreads. If he is too partisan, too disrespecting of political adversaries, that spreads too. Presidents always undo themselves and then blame it on the third guy in the last row in the sleepy agency across town.”

It’s even being compared to Watergate, the break-in that ultimately led to the resignation of President Nixon.

That was the assessment of no less than Woodward, whose reporting on Watergate eventually snared the sitting president.

Woodward said recently: “If you read through all these emails, you see that everyone in the government is saying, ‘Oh, let’s not tell the public that terrorists were involved, people connected to al Qaeda. Let’s not tell the public that there were warnings.’ And I have to go back 40 years to Watergate when Nixon put out his edited transcripts to the conversations, and he personally went through them and said, ‘Oh, let’s not tell this, let’s not show this.’ I would not dismiss Benghazi. It’s a very serious issue.”

A Republican congressman also recently brought up the subject.

“I would say yes. I’m not willing to take it [impeachment] off to take it off the table, but that’s certainly not what we’re striving for,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, told CNN.

“We want truth, we want to bring the people who perpetrated the terrorism in Benghazi to be brought to justice, and we want to have the president do what he has said he would always do. And that is be open and transparent. Thus far, the White House has not done that.”

Earlier, Chaffetz, in an interview with the Salt Lake Tribune, was asked if impeachment was within the realm of possibility.

“It’s certainly a possibility,” he told the paper. “That’s not the goal but given the continued lies perpetrated by this administration, I don’t know where it’s going to go. … I’m not taking it off the table. I’m not out there touting that but I think this gets to the highest levels of our government and integrity and honesty are paramount.”

Chaffetz has been championing the call to probe the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the Benghazi compound that left four Americans dead, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., said impeachment was possible over the “most egregious cover-up in American history.

“People may be starting to use the I-word before too long,” Inhofe told radio host Rusty Humphries, according to The Hill.

“The I-word meaning impeachment?” Humphries asked.

“Yeah,” Inhofe responded.

Additionally, radio host Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and one-time presidential candidate, predicted Obama won’t serve out his second term because of his complicity in a cover-up over Benghazi.

Other members of Congress who have suggested impeachment for a variety of reasons in recent years include Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C.; Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.; Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas; Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas; Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla.; and Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.

Others who have raised the subject include rock legend and gun-rights defender Ted Nugent, who said there’s “no question” Obama should be impeached.

He blasted “the criminality of this government, the unprecedented abuse of power, corruption, fraud and deceit by the Chicago gangster-scammer-ACORN-in-chief.”

“It’s so diabolical,” he said.

Even Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin called for the impeachment of Obama over his policy of permitting drone strikes on American citizens overseas who are members of terrorist organizations.

On WABC Radio’s “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” Benjamin affirmed she believes the drone warfare is an impeachable offense.

Yet, they more than likely responded in kind and their bloody hands can never be washed clean.

Internalize: BOTH sides are barbarians ! Repeat: this war (like all the others) involves inter-Arab Muslim warfare, a continuation of centuries of bloodshed! Nevertheless, some wars are nudged along by outside forces, but it takes little incentive to get them to slaughter one another. This is a historical fact. Deal with it.

If the latest report is confirmed, this will be the largest Chinese deployment in the Middle East in its naval history.”), under the auspices of banksters, George Soros and Euro elites, and aided by their main hatchet woman – via cover of her dastardly R2P – Samantha Powers.  Her appointment, to rep Obama’s America at the UN, was not for nothing. The geo-chessboard is duly aligning, as ‘predicted’ throughout several commentaries.

Onto the referenced fingerprints, essentially laid out in today’s title commentary. Revealingly, from the onset of this American-Israeli’s ‘hunting and digging’ – spanning over a decade – a main/valued contact gifted this blogger (goodies sent this way are not unusual) The Secret History Of The Iraq War by Yossef Bodansky. Mind you, this ‘helper’ is tangentially associated with Bodansky, a former “director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare for more than a decade. Bodansky is a long time director of research at the International Strategic Studies Association and senior editor for the Defense and Foreign Affairs group of publications…..former senior consultant for the U.S. departments of Defense and State”. Surely, more than qualified to be lent an airing. Taken seriously too.

The point being, this ‘gift’ (among others) was meant to open up some related investigatory avenues and insights for this address. Enough said.

Mounting evidence raises questions about Syrian chemical weapon attack

There is a growing volume of new evidence from numerous sources in the Middle East — mostly affiliated with the Syrian opposition and its sponsors and supporters — which makes a very strong case, based on solid circumstantial evidence, that the Aug. 21 chemical strike in the Damascus suburbs was indeed a premeditated provocation by the Syrian opposition.

The extent of U.S. foreknowledge of this provocation needs further investigation because available data puts the “horror” of the Barack Obama White House in a different and disturbing light.

On Aug. 13-14, Western-sponsored opposition forces in Turkey started advance preparations for a major and irregular military surge. Initial meetings between senior opposition military commanders and representatives of Qatari, Turkish, and U.S. Intelligence [“Mukhabarat Amriki”] took place at the converted Turkish military garrison in Antakya, Hatay Province, used as the command center and headquarters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and their foreign sponsors. Very senior opposition commanders who had arrived from Istanbul briefed the regional commanders of an imminent escalation in the fighting due to “a war-changing development” which would, in turn, lead to a U.S.-led bombing of Syria.

The opposition forces had to quickly prepare their forces for exploiting the U.S.-led bombing in order to march on Damascus and topple the Bashar al-Assad government, the senior commanders explained. The Qatari and Turkish intelligence officials assured the Syrian regional commanders that they would be provided with plenty of weapons for the coming offensive.

Indeed, unprecedented weapons distribution started in all opposition camps in Hatay Province on Aug. 21-23.{blog note: think: weapons running in Libya!} In the Reyhanli area alone, opposition forces received well in excess of 400 tons of weapons, mainly anti-aircraft weaponry from shoulder-fired missiles to ammunition for light-guns and machine guns. The weapons were distributed from storehouses controlled by Qatari and Turkish Intelligence under the tight supervision of U.S. Intelligence.

These weapons were loaded on more than 20 trailer-trucks which crossed into northern Syria and distributed the weapons to several depots. Followup weapon shipments, also several hundred tons, took place over the weekend of Aug. 24-25, and included mainly sophisticated anti-tank guided missiles and rockets. Opposition officials in Hatay said that these weapon shipments were “the biggest” they had received “since the beginning of the turmoil more than two years ago”. The deliveries from Hatay went to all the rebel forces operating in the Idlibto-Aleppo area, including the Al Qaida affiliated jihadists (who constitute the largest rebel forces in the area).

Several senior officials from both the Syrian opposition and sponsoring Arab states stressed that these weapon deliveries were specifically in anticipation for exploiting the impact of imminent bombing of Syria by the U.S. and the Western allies. The latest strategy formulation and coordination meetings took place on Aug. 26. The political coordination meeting took place in Istanbul and was attended by U.S. Amb. Robert Ford.

More important were the military and operational coordination meetings at the Antakya garrison. Senior Turkish, Qatari, and U.S. Intelligence officials attended in addition to the Syrian senior (opposition) commanders. The Syrians were informed that bombing would start in a few days. “The opposition was told in clear terms that action to deter further use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime could come as early as in the next few days,” a Syrian participant in the meeting said. Another Syrian participant said that he was convinced U.S. bombing was scheduled to begin on Thursday, Aug. 29. Several participants — both Syrian and Arab — stressed that the assurances of forthcoming bombing were most explicit even as formally Obama is still undecided.

The descriptions of these meetings raise the question of the extent of foreknowledge of U.S. intelligence, and therefore, the Obama White House. All the sources consulted — both Syrian and Arab — stressed that officials of the “Mukhabarat Amriki” actively participated in the meetings and briefings in Turkey. Therefore, at the very least, they should have known that the opposition leaders were anticipating “a war-changing development”: that is, a dramatic event which would provoke a U.S.-led military intervention.

The mere fact that weapon storage sites under the tight supervision of U.S. intelligence were opened up and about a thousand tons of high-quality weapons were distributed to the opposition indicates that U.S. intelligence anticipated such a provocation and the opportunity for the Syrian opposition to exploit the impact of the ensuing U.S. and allied bombing. Hence, even if the Obama White House did not know in advance of the chemical provocation, they should have concluded, or at the very least suspected, that the chemical attack was most likely the “war-changing development” anticipated by the opposition leaders as provocation of U.S.-led bombing. Under such circumstances, the Obama White House should have refrained from rushing head-on to accuse Assad’s Damascus and threaten retaliation, thus making the Obama White House at the very least complicit after the act.

Meanwhile, additional data from Damascus about the actual chemical attack increases the doubts about Washington’s version of events. Immediately after the attack, three hospitals of Doctors Without Borders (MSF: médecins sans frontières) in the greater Damascus area treated more than 3,600 Syrians affected by the chemical attack, and 355 of them died. MSF performed tests on the vast majority of those treated.

MSF director of operations Bart Janssens summed up the findings: “MSF can neither scientifically confirm the cause of these symptoms nor establish who is responsible for the attack. However, the reported symptoms of the patients, in addition to the epidemiological pattern of the events — characterized by the massive influx of patients in a short period of time, the origin of the patients, and the contamination of medical and first aid workers — strongly indicate mass exposure to a neurotoxic agent.” Simply put, even after testing some 3,600 patients, MSF failed to confirm that sarin was the cause of the injuries. According to MSF, the cause could have been nerve agents like sarin, concentrated riot control gas, or even high-concentration pesticides. Moreover, opposition reports that there was distinct stench during the attack suggest that it could have come from the “kitchen sarin” used by jihadist groups (as distinct from the odorless military-type sarin) or improvised agents like pesticides.

Some of the evidence touted by the Obama White House is questionable at best.

A small incident in Beirut raises big questions. A day after the chemical attack, Lebanese fixers working for the “Mukhabarat Amriki” succeeded to convince a Syrian male who claimed to have been injured in the chemical attack to seek medical aid in Beirut in return for a hefty sum that would effectively settle him for life. The man was put into an ambulance and transferred overnight to the Farhat Hospital in Jib Janine, Beirut. The Obama White House immediately leaked friendly media that “the Lebanese Red Cross announced that test results found traces of sarin gas in his blood.” However, this was news to Lebanese intelligence and Red Cross officials. According to senior intelligence officials, “Red Cross Operations Director George Kettaneh told [them] that the injured Syrian fled the hospital before doctors were able to test for traces of toxic gas in his blood.” Apparently, the patient declared that he had recovered from his nausea and no longer needed medical treatment. The Lebanese security forces are still searching for the Syrian patient and his honorarium.

On Aug. 24, Syrian Commando forces acted on intelligence about the possible perpetrators of the chemical attack and raided a cluster of rebel tunnels in the Damascus suburb of Jobar. Canisters of toxic material were hit in the fierce fire-fight as several Syrian soldiers suffered from suffocation and “some of the injured are in a critical condition”.

The Commando eventually seized an opposition warehouse containing barrels full of chemicals required for mixing “kitchen sarin”, laboratory equipment, as well as a large number of protective masks. The Syrian Commando also captured several improvised explosive devices, RPG rounds, and mortar shells. The same day, at least four HizbAllah fighters operating in Damascus near Ghouta were hit by chemical agents at the very same time the Syrian Commando unit was hit while searching a group of rebel tunnels in Jobar.

Both the Syrian and the HizbAllah forces were acting on intelligence information about the real perpetrators of the chemical attack. Damascus told Moscow the Syrian troops were hit by some form of a nerve agent and sent samples (blood, tissues, and soil) and captured equipment to Russia.

Several Syrian leaders, many of whom are not Bashar al-Assad supporters and are even his sworn enemies, are now convinced that the Syrian opposition is responsible for the Aug. 21, chemical attack in the Damascus area in order to provoke the U.S. and the allies into bombing Assad’s Syria. Most explicit and eloquent is Saleh Muslim, the head of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) which has been fighting the Syrian Government.

Muslim doubts Assad would have used chemical weapons when he was winning the civil war.

“The regime in Syria … has chemical weapons, but they wouldn’t use them around Damascus, five km from the [UN] committee which is investigating chemical weapons. Of course they are not so stupid as to do so,” Muslim told Reuters on Aug. 27. He believes the attack was “aimed at framing Assad and provoking an international reaction”. Muslim is convinced that “some other sides who want to blame the Syrian regime, who want to show them as guilty and then see action” is responsible for the chemical attack. The U.S. was exploiting the attack to further its own anti-Assad policies and should the UN inspectors find evidence that the rebels were behind the attack, then “everybody would forget it”, Muslim shrugged. “Who is the side who would be punished? Are they are going to punish the Emir of Qatar or the King of Saudi Arabia, or Mr Erdogan of Turkey?”

And there remain the questions: Given the extent of the involvement of the “Mukhabarat Amriki” in opposition activities, how is it that U.S. intelligence did not know in advance about the opposition’s planned use of chemical weapons in Damascus?

And if they did know and warned the Obama White House, why then the sanctimonious rush to blame the Assad Administration? Moreover, how can the Obama Administration continue to support and seek to empower the opposition which had just intentionally killed some 1,300 innocent civilians in order to provoke a U.S. military intervention?

Undeniably, the blasted Pyromaniac-in-Chief set the stage for the unleashing of Assad’s chemical arsenal, in his bid to shore up his Brotherhood Mafia  – through his fingerprints in Benghazigate – by providing them with heavy weapons, which in turn helped to pry loose chemicals, arsenals that had been under lock and key for decades. Less than six degrees separated.

Regardless of the global necessity to smash the Iranian axis (no convincing required for this American-Israeli…living in their cross hairs !) the rational way forward would be to attack the head of the snake – Iran’s genocidal WMD program! But no, the Islamist-in-Chief gave Iran’s Hitlerite regime the biggest gift of all: close to 6 years of breathing room, as he offered the back end of his boot, in 2009, to its true freedom fighters. NOT unlike a slowly metastasizing tumor, or a lethal parasite, the Mid East is always a cauldron of regional menaces. At certain junctures in time the fires are on a slow burn and can simmer slowly, without evincing too much damage. Flash points. But rational folks also realize, if one pours gasoline into an open fire, well, MEGA explosions ensue. Such is the case when it comes to ‘managing’ the delicate storms in the Mid East. A high wire balancing act. A tightrope.  But just as there are maintenance regimens for some late stage diseases – thank G-d for that – so too are most of the region’s firestorms ‘manageable’, at least with proper hyper-muscle and deterrence factors.

That being said, one must possess intellectual awareness and integrity – from the get go – political posturing aside, to assert: sans interference from the Pyromaniac-in-Chief, certain fires would still be on the slow-burn, instead of engulfing the region. How so? Let this blog point the way:

Simply put, the Islamist-in-Chief lit the fuse via his frontal embrace of the Brotherhood Mafia. As such, the overthrow of strong-arm dictator Mubarak (hardly a ‘democrat’, yet, for decades, he kept the Islamists at bay) sent Egypt into a tailspin, with reverberations felt throughout the region and beyond.

In tandem, plans to overthrow Qadaffi were afoot, back in 2010, having nothing to do with protecting civilians, ala ‘R2P’ (a concept cooked up by leftist, pro Islamist, vile anti-semite, UN ensconced, Samantha Powers), but everything to do with weapons running to aid the Syrian ‘rebels’; a hybrid of Brotherhood/Al Qaeda/Al-Nusra terror fronts. True, a smattering of coalitions, who seek to just live their lives without Islamists giving them the boot, are in the mix. Nevertheless, they are the proverbial needle in the haystack and will be overrun by the jihadists, before they can say – boo. Devoured alive. Literally. Meanwhile, the release of the Blind terror Sheikh was an inherent factor to the Libyan operation, yet the (Islamist) devil is always in the details. It didn’t pan out. Enter: Benghazigate.

It is into this veritable Devil’s cauldron one finds Iran, not only as the patron/sponsor of the Shiite terror axis, but as the beneficiary of all the wildfires – Sunni and Shia alike. Hence, the centrifuges, the plutonium track and every other aspect of Iran’s genocidal program continues – uninterrupted – at warp speed. Catastrophic.

Oddly enough, with events spiraling out of control in Syria, no one is paying much attention to the puppet master: Iran. As a result, Tehran manages to proceed unhindered with its development of nuclear weapons. In a few years, the strategic shortsightedness of both Washington and Jerusalem could become explosively apparent.

What will happen next? Inevitably, the United States and Israel, more or less cooperatively, will seek a dependable regional system of nuclear deterrence. But could such a last ditch security effort succeed?

Before it can work, any system of deterrence must be based on an assumption of rationality. This means that each side must believe the other will value its continued national survival more highly than any other preference, or combination of preferences.

To be sure, it is at least possible that pertinent decision-makers in Tehran would be rational. Still, it is entirely plausible that, at some point, this core assumption would no longer remain valid. Moreover, even a fully rational Iranian adversary could sometime decide to launch against Israel, because of: (1) incorrect information used in its vital decisional calculations; (2) mechanical, electronic, or computer malfunctions; (3) unauthorized decisions to fire, in the national decisional command authority; or (4) coup d’état.

Probably, in the aftermath of an Iranian nuclear attack upon Israel, the Jewish State would not disappear. Should this be taken as “reassuring?” After all, and at a minimum,  tens of thousands of  Israelis, Arabs as well as Jews, would be crushed, torn apart, and severely burned.

Large numbers would fall victim to raging firestorms. Fallout injuries would include whole-body radiation injury, produced by penetrating, hard gamma radiations; superficial radiation burns, produced by soft radiations; and assorted injuries produced by deposits of radioactive substances within the body.

After an Iranian nuclear attack, even a “small” one, those few medical facilities that might still exist in Israel would be taxed beyond capacity. Water supplies would quickly become unusable. Housing and shelter could be unavailable for hundreds of thousands (in principle, at least, perhaps even millions) of survivors. Transportation would break down to rudimentary levels. Food shortages would be crippling, critical, and forseeably, very long-term. All normal mechanisms of economic exchange would be shattered.

Emergency police and fire services would be decimated. Most systems dependent upon electrical power could stop functioning, perhaps for months, or even longer. Severe trauma would produce widespread disorientation and psychiatric disorders, pathologies for which there would be no available therapeutic services.

After an Iranian nuclear attack, many Israeli survivors could expect an increase in serious and degenerative pathologies. They could also expect premature death, impaired vision, and sterility. Following what we know about atomic bomb effects upon Hiroshima and Nagasaki, an increased incidence of leukemia and cancers of the lung, stomach, breast, ovary and uterine cervix would be indicated.

Extensive fallout would leave its mark upon Israel. Over time, it would upset many delicately balanced relationships in nature. Those Israelis who had survived the nuclear attack would still have to deal with enlarged insect populations. Like the locusts of biblical times, mushrooming insect hordes could spread widely beyond the radiation-damaged areas in which they first arose.

Insects are generally more resistant to radiation than humans. This fact, coupled with the prevalence of unburied corpses, uncontrolled waste, and untreated sewage, would generate tens of trillions of flies and mosquitoes. Breeding in the dead bodies, these insects would make it utterly impossible to control typhus, malaria, dengue fever, and encephalitis.

Throughout Israel, tens or even hundreds of thousands of rotting human corpses would pose the single largest health threat.   Simply to bury the bodies would prove to be a staggering and conceivably impossible task. Then, unceremonious mass cremations could prove to be the only viable “final solution.”

These same catastrophic effects, possibly even more expansive and destructive, could  be wreaked upon Iran by Israel. With near absolute certainty, an immediate Israeli nuclear retaliation for any Iranian nuclear aggression would be initiated. In both Israel and Iran, legions of battered survivors would envy the dead.

None of this strategic scenario would need to be considered if Iran could still be kept distant from nuclear weapons. Barring the very unlikely prospect of an eleventh-hour preemption against Iranian hard targets, however, it will become necessary to implement a broadly stable program for regional nuclear deterrence. Within this historically familiar threat system, Israel might still be able to identify certain remaining deterrence options.

These options would pertain to both rational and irrational decision-makers in Tehran.

By definition, irrational Iranian adversaries would not value their own national survival most highly. Nonetheless, they could still maintain a determinable and potentially manipulable ordering of preferences. Washington and Jerusalem, therefore, should promptly undertake a meticulous effort (1) to adequately anticipate this prospective ordering; and  (2)  to fashion deterrent threats accordingly.

Future Iranian preference-orderings would not be created in a vacuum. Among other things, assorted strategic developments in already-nuclear Pakistan, and (eventually) “Palestine,” could impact such orderings. This impact could manifest itself in the form of certain game-changing “synergies,” or, in more narrowly military parlance, as significant “force multipliers.”

The preference orderings of a nuclearizing Iran will be effected, especially in the short term, by whatever happens to Tehran’s surrogate in Damascus. If an American missile strike is launched against certain hard targets of the Assad regime, US President Barack Obama may, however unintentionally, also be declaring a de facto war against Iran.

In such increasingly likely circumstances, Washington’s jurisprudential motives would not include a wider conflict, but these high-sounding presidential motives could prove irrelevant. Here, Tehran would almost certainly choose to accelerate the pace of its nuclear weapons program. In part, this acceleration would represent the result of  an increased fear of becoming the object of  an American and/or Israeli  preemptive attack itself.

Over time, Iran’s cumulative response to any impending American attacks on Syrian regime targets could trigger a reduced willingness to abide by the logic of deterrence. It follows that any such American attacks, especially if they did not remain expectedly “tailored” or “limited,” could actually hasten the outbreak of a more-or-less region-wide war, ultimately involving nuclear arms. This is not to suggest that a suitably proportionate American military response to Syrian regime crimes against humanity would be inherently law-violating or “wrong,” but only that there might also be various unintended yet grievously substantial nuclear consequences.

Now, the ever patient Prof has access to many ears – ever so grateful he lends me his! – both within Israel’s leadership, as well as the U.S. It remains to be seen if his warnings, evinced to top leadership back in 2003, as well as in 2009, are now falling on deaf ears. But this much is for sure: if Iran breaks out into a nuclear power, despite all the clarion calls emitted herein, future generations will hold this generation of leaders wholly responsible. Indictable. History will crucify them, in a manner of speaking!

In comparison, Chamberlain will come off as a capable leader. A reasonably good guy.

The concept of geo-political blow back is an oft-repeated refrain at this site. It is not for nothing. For since this address immerses itself in geo-politics, as well as having a laser focus on Israeli and American interests – as events relate to the Mid East in particular and world politics in general – the 360 volte-face from the leader of the free world, Barack HUSSEIN Obama, is resoundingly, alarmingly resonant. It qualifies as an earth shaking point in time for the leadership of the free world, in effect, America’s abdication of the mantle as the world’s superpower. Stick a fork in it…

Make no mistake, this was ‘The One’s’ plan all along, from the moment he entered 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and soiled the People’s House. It will need more than a fumigation when (wifey and Obama’s anti-American crew) Obama Inc. finally departs, willingly or otherwise. This is the case, even if Congress gives the go ahead to exhibit a smoke and mirror’s show over Damascus.

But before we get to the inherent geo-implications, let’s remove something off the table: the POTUS, even though he demurred ‘right makes might’ (a play on words of the refrain, ‘might makes right’), he was full of nothing short of hot air and DANGEROUS hooey and phooey. Ever the poser, he tilted his chin in the air, evincing a sign of ‘righteous’ indignation. As if.

Significantly, he cannot have it both ways: how can he (he can’t, other than through verbal diarrhea) justify entering into a war in Libya sans Congressional approval, whereby Qadaffi – loony as he was – was not gassing anyone, having previously relinquished his WMD’s? Huh and duh? Paradoxically, it was due to the Libyan leader’s fear of America – a once mightily feared hyper-power – that he gave them up. Moreover, as a DIRECT result of injudiciously bombing Libya, Americans were slaughtered. Hence, Benghazigate.

NOT only that, but a massive arsenal of ManPads have gone ‘missing’, and some of them are reportedly showing up, you guessed it, in Syria. So, what exactly was considered ‘right’ about entering said war – again, without Congressional approval – to put forth the massive ‘might’ of the American military? Nothing. But this is what shakes out when a POTUS is also a Liar-in-Chief. The twisted tales…and the pressing quest to empower one’s Brotherhood Mafia, as America becomes a laughingstock before the world. As an American too, livid doesn’t even begin to describe how this feels, witnessing the debasement and degradation heaped upon the greatest liberal democracy in history. Simply put, due to the man-child, America has become a shadow of itself. A stripped shell. It may never recover.

Readers, know this: America’s hands – even prior to Obama Inc., but accelerated under his rule and with both parties in bed – are not clean, as its leaders fight a proxy war to implant another agenda, one which runs through Syria! Again, the lie about seeking Congressional approval has more to do with pressure brought to bear by the ‘Russian bear’ – no pun intended – than any other balderdash/smokescreen.     

Nevertheless, and most revealingly, as the mullahs and assorted terror groups watch/crow in glee, the fantasy of Obama Inc. having Israel’s back is stripped naked. Better late than never. With blinded eyes and much jaw-jaw from Obama Inc., Iran’s mullahs are getting closer to their genocidal plans – to wipe Israel off the map. They have every intention of doing so, and no amount of fantastical thinking will obviate this truth.

To be sure, the nonsense that ‘red lines’ mean anything but colors on a chart, has proven itself to be a dangerous delusion, a ploy. Hey Bibi, where have all the ‘red lines’ gone? Besides, if they mean less than squat in relation to Syria and its chemical warfare, what exactly do they portend for Iran’s genocidal program and the Islamist-in-Chief’s much heralded ‘promises’? Asked and answered. Fool me once, shame on you…

US President Barack Obama’s about-turn Saturday night, Aug. 31 on the planned US military operation against Syria’s chemical weapons has shaken up the volatile Middle East balance of strength, spelling for Israel, Jordan and Turkey what Western and Israeli military sources called the day after “a military nightmare.”
Syria, Iran and Hizballah are let off the hook by the lifting of the imminent US military threat against Bashar Assad over his use of chemical weapons on Aug. 21. Not only that, but the threesome have won an unforeseen tactical advantage: President Obama’s turn to Congress to authorize that attack gives them at least a fortnight for launching a pre-emptive strike against US forces and its allies.
Syria and Hizballah’s defenses are already upgraded against the projected US strike and their forces on peak readiness. Rather than hanging around and waiting for the US Congress to go through with a debate, which only starts in the week of Sept. 9, they are fully capable of forcing the pace on their own terms, with the object of getting the US operation cancelled altogether.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, for his part, will not waste the opportunity for pursuing further advanced weapons transactions with Iran and Syria.

A high-ranking Israeli office commented Sunday that the three hostile allies, having achieving an indefinite postponement of the American military threat with Moscow’s help, can be expected to press their advantage with further diplomatic and military mischief. Trouble looms for Israel, Jordan and Turkey if  Russian and Iranian intelligence experts estimate that an aggressive move will strengthen the hands of the US lawmakers opposed to US military intervention in Syria.

Syria’s allies may deduce that high war flames in the Middle East will stoke the anti-military congressional faction’s pressure on the administration to keep American out of the region. They will argue that even the very limited action proposed by Obama would be enough to drag America deep into the Syrian mire.

Two Republican senators have already come forward as nay-sayers. Directly after the president’s speech, John McCain and Graham Lindsey said they would vote against any limited military action in Syria short of an offensive for toppling Bashar Assad.

September is a sensitive month in Israel because most of it is taken up with festivals, starting in Rosh Hashanah, followed by Yom Kippur and then the Feast of Tabernacles.

Evidently, the high art of rhetoric scores points in debate teams, as well as in liberal academia’s faculty lounges, where echo chambers replace thoughtful inquiry and incisive examination of the facts at hand. This was precisely what the world witnessed (both the civilized and the not so civilized), as many stared transfixed at the spectacle of the leader of the free world opining how outraged he was over the horrors of chemical warfare in Syria (HUGE mental note: regardless of which side has dirtier hands; the ‘rebels’ or Assad’s henchmen…and Al Qaeda is DEEPLY in the ‘rebel’ camp, let us dare not forget that), yet, he now needs ‘permission’ to stop the horrors, even though he doesn’t technically need their approval, nor did he seek any when he just didn’t feel like doing so. He might as well just stick his finger in the air and see which way the (political) wind is blowing, you know, to do the ‘right’ thing.

Equally egregious will be the blow back which will eventually emerge from his shilly shallying; an obvious strategic advantage is now part of Syria’s (Iran’s, Hezbollah’s, Russia’s, etc.) immediate war plans – the Islamist-in-Chief’s gift of time. None too incidentally, the geo-political message sent to both allies and rogue regimes is nothing short of catastrophic. Breaking it down to its bare bones, one would be hard pressed to find any world leader who currently takes America seriously, or has ANY reason to trust its word, even if the wayward Commander-in-Chief belatedly gives the go ahead to strike.

By the way, a serious Commander-in-Chief understands that America’s first class military assets would be better spent attacking the head of the snake. Alas, after 5 plus years in office, Iran’s genocidal regime is within a hair’s breath of becoming a nuclear power. 

In a nutshell, while the Poser-in-Chief strove to emit a ‘thinker’s’ pose in the Rose Garden, he exposed himself as an empty, vacuous vessel, and an unworthy adversary to angst over. Most essentially, there is no reason for the mullahs in Iran, the crazy leaderhip of N Korea, or any other rogue regime to lose any sleep over America’s POTUS. IF they weren’t sure before – about the lack of resolve from the Coward-in-Chief – they are now, ‘red lines’ beside the point.  

In reality, anyone worthy of leading the free world should surely understand the basic ‘Law of the Middle East jungle’, the most volatile region in the world. Essentially, the only one worth paying any heed to is the ‘strong horse’, and ANY show of hesitation is not seen as ‘thoughtful’ statesmanship, but evidence of weakness. And, that, my friends, is the cardinal lesson taught by Mid East power brokers, whichever Islamic country America finds itself up against.

This is precisely why Washington’s continual dictates to Israel to use ‘proportional force’ against genocidal foes has been a miserable and deadly (littered with thousands of Jewish graves) failure. Only the mother of all smack downs works in this region. Yet, this blogger places the onus squarely on Israel’s leadership, for it is they who are sworn to protect the citizens.

So, if anything positive comes out of the above American/global fiasco, well, perhaps Israel’s joined-at-the-Washington-hip leadership will finally ! surgically remove the excess weight.

This site has CONSISTENTLY coined the warring between the so called Syrian ‘rebels’ and Assad’s goons as ‘six of one, half a dozen of another’, as mentioned back in November 2012. No Islamic-washing on this end. The point being, BOTH factions are guilty of butchering the innocent, yet one is backed/armed by Obama Inc – ‘good’ terrorists vs ‘bad’ terrorists, via the depraved mindset of (im)moral relativists. The road to (western) hell is paved with PC, leftist delusions and their Islamic helpmates.

Alas, to properly catch the newly initiated up to speed, some backtracking is mandatory. Benghazigate, the result of an illegal war in Libya had several derivatives, but two stand out front and center: Arming the Syrian Brotherhood Mafia, of which Al Qaeda was an outgrowth – in tandem with other factions – and the attendant quid pro quo between Obama Inc. and Morsi’s Egyptian Brotherhood Mafia, designed to gain the release of the Blind terror Sheikh from imprisonment in America. Well, THAT plan went awry, hence, payback via dead Americans in Benghazi. Unintended geo-political blow back.

In fact, the Islamist-in-Chief’s failure to deliver the terror Sheikh’s freedom, plus the inability to cement Morsi’s hold on power, will have out-sized political consequences for Obama and surrogates – G-d willing. An 8 billion in baksheesh/bribery (courtesy of the American taxpayer’s kitty) between Obama Inc. and the Brotherhood Mafia (for sundry reasons) is drip, drip coming to light, as a poison pill from his ‘Brothers.’ You lie down with (Islamic) dogs…you wake up with more than fleas.

That being said, Obama & mouthpieces have dragged their heels repeatedly, even after knowing about Syria’s chemical warfare. Yet, time and again, the powers that be seemed less than concerned. Hell, Obama, wifey, ‘the girls’ and even the family pooch descended upon Martha’s Vineyard – chemical warfare reports be damned. Fellow freedom fighters at Watchdogs of Our Freedom – WOOF – said it best:

GO WOOFERS!! But let us not leave out an important vacation guest, the POTUS’s true ‘Love’ interest, his constant companion, though no longer on the White House official payroll – his ‘body double’.

Leaving his icky love life aside, and since the Pyromaniac-in-Chief understood – and he damn well did – that it was the ‘rebels’, a hodgepodge of Islamic groups he helped arm to topple Assad to empower the Brotherhood Mafia, who eventually utilized chemical weapons, wouldn’t that account for his hemming and hawing? But this does not exclude the real possibility that Assad’s goons did the same…and it could be a chicken egg scenario, as to who shot off the first chemical explosive.

So, it took time (not unlike their fairy tale stories re Benghazigate..the video made them do it..akin to the dog ate the homework fabrication) to concoct a scenario where Assad – and he alone – became culpable.

Most intrinsically, BOTH sides are Islamic barbarians, but a worldwide cry to DO something couldn’t be ignored, even by ‘The One’. So, we are now facing a full out missile war in the Mid East, but the upshot is: Regardless of the machinations of the wayward Commander-in-Chief innocent Syrians are being gassed, and if allowed to get away with such war crimes, surely their ante will be upped when Iran outwardly declares: “Yes, we too have nuclear weapons/WMD’s. Try and stop us…we will ‘gift’ them to any ‘holy’ warrior we damn well please, as we add, “Peace be upon him (Islam).” Yes, the ‘religion’ of ‘peace’ can kill anyone they deem a threat to the ummah and no one dares to thwart them. Let us admit in unison – there is power in numbers – and be done with it: Islam IS a death cult, no ifs, ands or buts.

Contrary evidence arises as U.S. considers punishing Assad regime

NEW YORK – As the U.S. considers a response to what it calls a chemical weapon attack by Syria’s Bashar al-Assad regime that killed hundreds of civilians, reliable Middle Eastern sources say they have evidence the culprits actually were the rebel forces trying to take over the government.

Secretary of State John Kerry accused the Assad government Monday of covering up the use of chemical weapons in “a cowardly crime” and a “moral obscenity” that shocked the world’s conscience. Kerry claimed the Obama administration had “undeniable” evidence “that the Assad government was culpable in the use of chemical weapons on civilians” in the Aug. 21 attack in Damascus suburbs.

Reports that the Obama administration is considering a military strike against the Assad government continued to circulate Monday. Meanwhile, U.N. weapon inspectors in Syria were fired upon by snipers as they attempted to investigate the site of the Aug. 21 attack.

Assad has rejected charges that his government forces used chemical weapons as “preposterous” and “completely politicized,” the Los Angeles Times reported.

He argues Syrian forces were in the targeted area.

“How is it possible that any country would use chemical weapons, or any weapons of mass destruction, in an area where its own forces are located?” Assad asked in the interview with Izvestia, according to a translation provided by Syria’s official news agency and published by the Los Angeles Times.

“This is preposterous! These accusations are completely politicized and come on the back of the advances made by the Syrian Army against the terrorists.”

Rebel attack?

With the assistance of former PLO member and native Arabic-speaker Walid Shoebat, WND has assembled evidence from various Middle Eastern sources that cast doubt on Obama administration claims the Assad government is responsible for last week’s attack.

A video posted on YouTube, embedded below, shows Free Syrian Army, or FSA, rebel forces launching a Sarin gas attack on a Syrian village.

Another video posted on YouTube shows what appears to be Syrian rebel forces loading a canister of nerve gas on a rocket to fire presumably at civilians and possibly government forces.

A report from the Russian Arabic-language channel RT Arabic shows captured rebel arsenals apparently with chemical agents manufactured in Saudi Arabia and gas masks, supporting Russian claims that the rebels are the culprits in the alleged chemical attack.

On Aug. 23, LiveLeak.com hosted an audio recording of a phone call broadcast on Syrian TV between a terrorist affiliated with the rebel civilian militia “Shuhada al-Bayada Battalion” in Homs, Syria, and his Saudi Arabian boss, identified as “Abulbasit.” The phone call indicates rebel-affiliated terrorists in Syria, not the Assad government, launched the chemical weapons attack in Deir Ballba in the Homs, Syria, countryside.

The terrorist said his group, which comprises 200 terrorists escaped from al-Bayadah to al-Daar al-Kabera through a tunnel, needed to buy weapons to attack Homs.

The Saudi financier, who was in Cairo, asked the Syrian terrorists to give details about his group and how it will receive the money. The Saudi admitted his support to terrorists in Daraa and the Damascus countryside. The Syrian terrorist told him that one of the achievements of his “battalion” was the use of chemical weapons in Deir Ballba.

The recorded phone call disclosed the cooperation between two terrorist groups in Syria to bring two bottles of Sarin Gas from the Barzeh neighborhood in Damascus.

Russian media sources have consistently reported Syrian military have discovered rebel warehouses containing chemical weapons agents and have documented rebel chemical weapons attacks on the Syrian civilians the military.

That being said, Obama & mouthpieces have dragged their heels repeatedly, even after knowing about Syria’s chemical warfare. Yet, time and again, the powers that be seemed less than moved.

Now, since the Pyromaniac-in-Chief understood – and he damn well did – that it was the ‘rebels’ he helped arm who utilized chemical weapons, wouldn’t that account for his hemming and hawing?

By extension, we are now facing a full out missile war in the Mid East. Hence, Syria’s chemical warfare must be met with the harshest of military penalties. But no one should be foolish enough to give the Islamist-in-Chief kudos for stepping up to the plate. It would be akin to giving high fives to those who burn down forests, yet turn around and grab fire hoses to ‘assist’ in tamping down their handiwork. Same thing, but on a globally catastrophic scale!

PREDICTION: Whatever happens to Assad’s rule, rest assured, a hybrid leadership of Brotherhood/Al Qaeda will take its place. And, GO IDF!!

From the get go, be rest assured, this blog makes no pretense in pretending to understand anything which necessitates computer-based expertise. Such a claim would be more than a hoot…can even hear some nearest and dearest emitting quite a few chuckles, as this is being written. Indeed, this science/math based specialty is best left in the capable hands of software/hardware engineers – you know who you are – as they sift through all the highly technical mumbo jumbo aspects of the NSA. It is the most advanced, illegal (domestically-speaking) spying system in the world. Most intrinsically, outside efforts (hack-wise or not…whatever it takes…beating NSA’s spies at their own game, as they dare pry, EN MASSE, into the privacy of Americans) to uncover the manifest abuses conducted under the purview of Obama Inc. may very well save the greatest Constitutional Republic in the world. Get cracking. Cat and mouse.

Nevertheless, the expertise herein absolutely lies in geo-politics, Islamic jihad and the Mid East, including its politics, religion and culture. And it doesn’t take a computer scientist to wade through the non-technical muck, in turn, internalizing what constitutes unfettered spying. This is for sure.

To be exact, when one is immersed in the dogged pursuit of those who dare to mess with liberty and freedom – chiefly, creatures belonging to the red/green alliance – anything smacking of squelching said freedoms, well, it doesn’t go unnoticed or non- pursued.

In this regard, in tandem with all the explosive scandals due to Obama Inc., including NSAgate, as well as IRSgate, Benghazigate, DOJgate, Fast & Furious, etc, the notion that any move a U.S. citizen makes is open to monitoring, well, few Americans are okay with living in a police state…just ask the Catalanos (Michele Catalano, a long time blogger at PJ Media and elsewhere…holy smokes) and countless others, whose homes were invaded, all for the ‘crime’ of internet searches! In fact, being that this blogger’s searches covers a gambit of hot range issues…burning up the long distance telephone wires in the process…can’t imagine how dangerous it would be to still live in the U.S. And this (very disturbing) sentiment is coming from someone who lives within missile range of Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas and many other jihadi terrorist groups! No kidding.

Most egregiously, the exception to their blanket spying is the Muslim American community, and their ‘hands off’ policy is evinced herein – Homeland Insecurity: The White House assures that tracking our every phone call and keystroke is to stop terrorists, and yet it won’t snoop in mosques, where the terrorists are.

That’s right, the government’s sweeping surveillance of our most private communications excludes the jihad factories where homegrown terrorists are radicalized.

Since October 2011, mosques have been off-limits to FBI agents. No more surveillance or undercover string operations without high-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department dubbed the Sensitive Operations Review Committee.

Who makes up this body, and how do they decide requests? Nobody knows; the names of the chairman, members and staff are kept secret.

We do know the panel was set up under pressure from Islamist groups who complained about FBI stings at mosques. Just months before the panel’s formation, the Council on American-Islamic Relations teamed up with the ACLU to sue the FBI for allegedly violating the civil rights of Muslims in Los Angeles by hiring an undercover agent to infiltrate and monitor mosques there.”

IF Obama and gang truly believe that domestic spying on ALL Americans, yet excluding those who are the gravest threat – Muslim Americans – is going to pass muster, well, it is doubtful that patriots will continue to stand still.

XKeyscore: NSA tool collects ‘nearly everything a user does on the internet’

A top secret National Security Agency program allows analysts to search with no prior authorization through vast databases containing emails, online chats and the browsing histories of millions of individuals, according to documents provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden.

The NSA boasts in training materials that the program, called XKeyscore, is its “widest-reaching” system for developing intelligence from theinternet.

The latest revelations will add to the intense public and congressional debate around the extent of NSA surveillance programs. They come as senior intelligence officials testify to the Senate judiciary committee on Wednesday, releasing classified documents in response to the Guardian’s earlier stories on bulk collection of phone records and Fisasurveillance court oversight.

The files shed light on one of Snowden’s most controversial statements, made in his first video interview published by the Guardian on June 10.

“I, sitting at my desk,” said Snowden, could “wiretap anyone, from you or your accountant, to a federal judge or even the president, if I had a personal email”.

US officials vehemently denied this specific claim. Mike Rogers, the Republican chairman of the House intelligence committee, said of Snowden’s assertion: “He’s lying. It’s impossible for him to do what he was saying he could do.”

But training materials for XKeyscore detail how analysts can use it and other systems to mine enormous agency databases by filling in a simple on-screen form giving only a broad justification for the search. The request is not reviewed by a court or any NSA personnel before it is processed.

XKeyscore, the documents boast, is the NSA’s “widest reaching” system developing intelligence from computer networks – what the agency calls Digital Network Intelligence (DNI). One presentation claims the program covers “nearly everything a typical user does on the internet”, including the content of emails, websites visited and searches, as well as theirmetadata.

Analysts can also use XKeyscore and other NSA systems to obtain ongoing “real-time” interception of an individual’s internet activity.

Under US law, the NSA is required to obtain an individualized Fisawarrant only if the target of their surveillance is a ‘US person’, though no such warrant is required for intercepting the communications of Americans with foreign targets. But XKeyscore provides the technological capability, if not the legal authority, to target even US persons for extensive electronic surveillance without a warrant provided that some identifying information, such as their email or IP address, is known to the analyst.

One training slide illustrates the digital activity constantly being collected by XKeyscore and the analyst’s ability to query the databases at any time.

The purpose of XKeyscore is to allow analysts to search the metadata as well as the content of emails and other internet activity, such as browser history, even when there is no known email account (a “selector” in NSAparlance) associated with the individual being targeted.

Analysts can also search by name, telephone number, IP address, keywords, the language in which the internet activity was conducted or the type of browser used.

One document notes that this is because “strong selection [search by email address] itself gives us only a very limited capability” because “a large amount of time spent on the web is performing actions that are anonymous.”

The NSA documents assert that by 2008, 300 terrorists had been captured using intelligence from XKeyscore.

Analysts are warned that searching the full database for content will yield too many results to sift through. Instead they are advised to use themetadata also stored in the databases to narrow down what to review.

A slide entitled “plug-ins” in a December 2012 document describes the various fields of information that can be searched. It includes “every email address seen in a session by both username and domain”, “every phone number seen in a session (eg address book entries or signature block)” and user activity – “the webmail and chat activity to include username, buddylist, machine specific cookies etc”.

Email monitoring

In a second Guardian interview in June, Snowden elaborated on his statement about being able to read any individual’s email if he had their email address. He said the claim was based in part on the email search capabilities of XKeyscore, which Snowden says he was authorized to use while working as a Booz Allen contractor for the NSA.

One top-secret document describes how the program “searches within bodies of emails, webpages and documents”, including the “To, From, CC, BCC lines” and the ‘Contact Us’ pages on websites”.

To search for emails, an analyst using XKS enters the individual’s email address into a simple online search form, along with the “justification” for the search and the time period for which the emails are sought.

The analyst then selects which of those returned emails they want to read by opening them in NSA reading software.

The system is similar to the way in which NSA analysts generally can intercept the communications of anyone they select, including, as one NSA document put it, “communications that transit the United States and communications that terminate in the United States”.

One document, a top secret 2010 guide describing the training received by NSA analysts for general surveillance under the Fisa Amendments Act of 2008, explains that analysts can begin surveillance on anyone by clicking a few simple pull-down menus designed to provide both legal and targeting justifications. Once options on the pull-down menus are selected, their target is marked for electronic surveillance and the analyst is able to review the content of their communications:

Chats, browsing history and other internet activity

Beyond emails, the XKeyscore system allows analysts to monitor a virtually unlimited array of other internet activities, including those within social media.

An NSA tool called DNI Presenter, used to read the content of stored emails, also enables an analyst using XKeyscore to read the content of Facebook chats or private messages.

An analyst can monitor such Facebook chats by entering the Facebook user name and a date range into a simple search screen.

Analysts can search for internet browsing activities using a wide range of information, including search terms entered by the user or the websites viewed.

As one slide indicates, the ability to search HTTP activity by keyword permits the analyst access to what the NSA calls “nearly everything a typical user does on the internet”.

The XKeyscore program also allows an analyst to learn the IP addresses of every person who visits any website the analyst specifies.

The quantity of communications accessible through programs such as XKeyscore is staggeringly large. One NSA report from 2007 estimated that there were 850bn “call events” collected and stored in the NSA databases, and close to 150bn internet records. Each day, the document says, 1-2bn records were added.

William Binney, a former NSA mathematician, said last year that the agency had “assembled on the order of 20tn transactions about US citizens with other US citizens”, an estimate, he said, that “only was involving phone calls and emails”. A 2010 Washington Post article reported that “every day, collection systems at the [NSA] intercept and store 1.7bn emails, phone calls and other type of communications.”

The XKeyscore system is continuously collecting so much internet data that it can be stored only for short periods of time. Content remains on the system for only three to five days, while metadata is stored for 30 days. One document explains: “At some sites, the amount of data we receive per day (20+ terabytes) can only be stored for as little as 24 hours.”

To solve this problem, the NSA has created a multi-tiered system that allows analysts to store “interesting” content in other databases, such as one named Pinwale which can store material for up to five years.

It is the databases of XKeyscore, one document shows, that now contain the greatest amount of communications data collected by the NSA.

In 2012, there were at least 41 billion total records collected and stored in XKeyscore for a single 30-day period.

Legal v technical restrictions

While the Fisa Amendments Act of 2008 requires an individualized warrant for the targeting of US persons, NSA analysts are permitted to intercept the communications of such individuals without a warrant if they are in contact with one of the NSA’s foreign targets.

The ACLU’s deputy legal director, Jameel Jaffer, told the Guardian last month that national security officials expressly said that a primary purpose of the new law was to enable them to collect large amounts of Americans’ communications without individualized warrants.

“The government doesn’t need to ‘target’ Americans in order to collect huge volumes of their communications,” said Jaffer. “The government inevitably sweeps up the communications of many Americans” when targeting foreign nationals for surveillance.

An example is provided by one XKeyscore document showing an NSAtarget in Tehran communicating with people in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and New York.

In recent years, the NSA has attempted to segregate exclusively domestic US communications in separate databases. But even NSA documents acknowledge that such efforts are imperfect, as even purely domestic communications can travel on foreign systems, and NSA tools are sometimes unable to identify the national origins of communications.

Moreover, all communications between Americans and someone on foreign soil are included in the same databases as foreign-to-foreign communications, making them readily searchable without warrants.

Some searches conducted by NSA analysts are periodically reviewed by their supervisors within the NSA. “It’s very rare to be questioned on our searches,” Snowden told the Guardian in June, “and even when we are, it’s usually along the lines of: ‘let’s bulk up the justification’.”

In a letter this week to senator Ron Wyden, director of national intelligence James Clapper acknowledged that NSA analysts have exceeded even legal limits as interpreted by the NSA in domestic surveillance.

Acknowledging what he called “a number of compliance problems”, Clapper attributed them to “human error” or “highly sophisticated technology issues” rather than “bad faith”.

However, Wyden said on the Senate floor on Tuesday: “These violations are more serious than those stated by the intelligence community, and are troubling.”

In a statement to the Guardian, the NSA said: “NSA’s activities are focused and specifically deployed against – and only against – legitimate foreign intelligence targets in response to requirements that our leaders need for information necessary to protect our nation and its interests.

“XKeyscore is used as a part of NSA’s lawful foreign signals intelligence collection system.

“Allegations of widespread, unchecked analyst access to NSA collection data are simply not true. Access to XKeyscore, as well as all of NSA’s analytic tools, is limited to only those personnel who require access for their assigned tasks … In addition, there are multiple technical, manual and supervisory checks and balances within the system to prevent deliberate misuse from occurring.”

“Every search by an NSA analyst is fully auditable, to ensure that they are proper and within the law.

“These types of programs allow us to collect the information that enables us to perform our missions successfully – to defend the nation and to protect US and allied troops abroad.”

Are you dizzy yet? Hope not. After all, despite their spin that FULL frontal spying is mandatory to keep America safe (just ask Boston’s victims if they feel safer, knowing full well that the Chechen bombers WERE monitored, but only once Russia’s security forces gave U.S. security the heads up…not due to anything the NSA uncovered) we know better. Certainly expect so.
