Hamas’ Unremitting Terror,Yet, “Bibi” Netanyahu Lies Impotent-Once Again. What’s Going On? Commentary By Adina Kutnicki

SCOWLS, clenched fists, and promises aside, when “Bibi” Netanyahu or his lackeys are queried: What will it take, once and for all, to unleash the IDF to bury Hamas, it is as if they are reading from the same demented script: “What we see from here, you don’t see from there!”

BE that as it may, as is said, the proof is in the pudding. To wit, how many times does this grave situation, a/k/a “matzav”, have to be tackled and highlighted to demonstrate that Israel’s leadership are wildly derelict in their most sacred duty of all? Ad infinitum.

BUT for the uninitiated, or the still unconvinced, here we go again. As per the actual facts on the ground….the case….the indictment….

  • Back in August 2011, six years after the late PM Sharon, “the bulldozer”, ordered the IDF to destroy twenty five plus thriving Jewish communities in Gush Katif, a/k/a Gaza, and the northern Shomron (to satiate the very same barbarians who rocketed southern Israel for 17 years – only to up the ante and terrorize the entire nation, after the insane “gifting/rewarding” of developed Jewish communities, as evidenced during the last defensive war with Hamas in 2014), this investigative journalist was asked to memorialize the devastating destruction via its knock-on effects (for HONENU – Israel’s National Legal Defense Organization) through a no-holds-barred analytical assessment. Resultant,”The Bitter Fruits of ‘Disengagement‘ ” was written. Shortly, others followed. Painstaking. Searing.
  • Even so, those with eyes and ears and a modicum of historical acumen should have known that one cannot feed rabid beasts and, in return, expect civilized behavior! In fact, as far back as 2007, “No Crime Without Punishment” laid out (at Israel National News) the absolute legal and moral onus upon Israel’s leaders, that is, their sworn duty to mete out punishment commensurate with the acts of terrorism against their citizens. Nullem Crimen Sine Poena. How many understand this sworn obligation?
  • In this regard, under the Orwellian circumstances cited above, it is hardly shocking that a follow-on (again, at Israel National News) report was necessary in January 2008, and with no let up in sight. Ask yourselves: Is it rational, let alone acceptable, that the most fearsome army in the Middle East (indeed, the IDF is ranked Number 8 in the world!) has yet to bring Hamas (and assorted Jihadi offshoots) to its knees?

IN light of the above truth-telling and disinfectant, and as night follows day alike, no one should be shocked that this past weekend Hamas is still “calling the shots”, as to when to fire, and when to “pause” – even though, reportedly, the IDF/IAF targeted this and that Hamas building for destruction, all of which, “coincidentally”, were (always are) empty. Why is this?? And, once again, Hamas’ terror masters are left standing to terrorize at will.

Wave upon wave of Palestinian missiles were aimed at Israeli communities from Gaza on Friday night and Saturday morning, Oct. 26-27, gaining impetus from IDF air strikes at some 87 Hamas targets. The IDF spokesman spoke of 30 Palestinian missiles during the night, although the number was more than 50, of which Iron Dome intercepted 13 that directly threatened residential areas. This Palestinian assault focused on the town of Sderot and the Shear Hanegev Council communities rather than widely-spaced targets.
The IDF reported Saturday that IAF fighters hit the new Hamas General Security headquarters in the Derej district of Gaza City although they admitted the building was empty at the time of the attack. In the streets of Sderot meanwhile householders and their children huddled in shelters and fortified rooms after a day of listening to howling mobs of some 16,000 Palestinians close by, trying to force their way through the Gaza fence at three points, while hurling small bombs, grenades and rocks at the soldiers. Five rioters were killed and dozens injured by IDF gunfire before they were pushed back.

But Palestinian missile fire continued unabated into Saturday morning. The latest IDF bulletin held Syria and the Iranian al-Qods responsible for the Palestinian barrage of Friday night and Saturday morning. This onslaught powerfully debunked the reports of an Israeli-Hamas deal,  brokered by Egypt, for the Palestinian terrorists to gradually de-escalate the border outbreaks, provided Israel held back and gave Hamas time for the process.

It also served as a greeting card from Hamas and Islamic Jihad to Israel’s next military chief of staff, whom Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman named on Friday as  Maj. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, 54. Kochavi is currently deputy chief of staff to Lt. Gen. Gady Eisenkot, after spending three years as OC Northern Command. He served in many key combat and staff capacities during his military career, although evaluations of his capabilities are mixed.

As commander of the Paratroop Brigade (in 2001), he led successful operations against terrorist concentrations (in 2002-2003) in major Palestinian towns for breaking the back of the Second Intifada (Palestinian uprising) that terrorized Israeli civilian centers for two years. Kochavi designed an effective counter-terror raid technique for saving Israeli troops raiding houses for suspects from being exposed to attack in the street. They were given a tool, which was named after him, for smashing through interior walls between rooms.

As head of AMAN (Military Intelligence), while faulted for certain missed strategic evaluations, he had the foresight to develop the unit’s technological capabilities for its leap into cyber warfare.
Kochavi is still remembered as commander of the Gaza Division 13 years ago, when Israel withdrew finally from the Palestinian enclave under the late Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. On Sept. 12, 2005, Kochavi shut the door on the last evacuated Israeli community in the Gaza Strip with the pledge: “If a single shot, or bullet is ever fired from here against Israel, the IDF’s response will be crushing!”

During the subsequent 13 years, that vow stayed in the history books. Only this week, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu noted that, whereas in 2005, Hamas had only 3,000 armed men, the number has since soared to 65,000!  However, in 2009, a year after he assumed the premiership, the Hamas militia numbered no more than 12,000 men.

Policy-making and military thinking in Israel for dealing with unending Hamas terror has remained frozen in place for 13 years. In 2005, Egypt promised to deploy troops on the strategic “Philadelphi Corridor” to prevent the newly-independent and demilitarized Palestinian enclave in Gaza from smuggling in weapons for rearming. That undertaking was not honored, any more than today, Cairo is capable of forcing Hamas to accept a truce.

As for the incoming chief of staff, Kochavi’s critics evaluate his performance as OC Northern command in charge of the Syrian and Lebanese border areas as falling short of his earlier operational and innovative promise. The question now is: Will Kochavi rise above Israel’s long conceptual paralysis with regard to Gaza and resort to action for stopping the increasingly unbridled Palestinian violence? This weekend, the terrorists of Gaza threw down another gauntlet for the IDF, clearly a challenge for Gen. Kochavi to see if he will finally make good on his 13-year oath of a “crushing response”

ALAS, no one can unmask the insane, counter-intuitive so-called “strategic” policies of Israel’s political echelon akin to Dr. Martin Sherman; inarguably, Israel’s foremost strategic policy analyst. As such, listen raptly, for school’s in session.

TRENCHANTLY, a rational leadership – let alone, one which obsessively touts an abiding adherence to democratic principles – wouldn’t allow their citizens to be subjected to a continuous barrage of missiles and kites (in tandem with stepped-up terror tactics) for years on end. In the meanwhile, said abnormal leadership continues to send in fuel and assorted supplies into Hamas-run Gaza (and Iran supported), knowing full well that Jihadis appropriate the largess! Mind you, while “Bibi” gives the go-ahead, ostensibly, to “relieve” the general population from rolling electrical outages, the urgent question is: What about taking care of Israel’s terrorized citizens? In other words, if Hamas was forced to operate in the dark, in tandem, bereft of fuel to run their terror workshops, wouldn’t said strategy go a long way towards bringing them to their knees? Agreed?

KNOW this; The very fact that citizens living within Israel’s southern belt  (after months of incendiary-packed kite/balloon terror and years of missile/rocket barrages) have yet to storm the Knesset, thereby, demanding an end to the onslaught, well, it attests to a form of mental besiegement. Yes, it does.

EFFECTIVELY, once a people believe that normalcy (and safety} is never going to be a part of their lives; that a daily life of terror and more terror (despite knowing that their armed forces can bury their tormentors) is tolerated by their leaders, said mindset becomes a “normative” way of thinking.

BUT most significantly, since past is prologue, it will take untold casualties for “Bibi” to unleash the powerful IDF – still, only long enough to “mow the grass“, so to speak.

AS always, their “strategic” calculus is not to bury Hamas – mirroring a rational leadership – but to allow them to lick their wounds, and, once again, regroup. Stronger. As to why this is the case, for starters, let’s just agree that “Bibi” (and his so-called right-wing crew) is more scared of angering an ever hostile Euro leadership, rather, than being frightened of the wrath of the majority Zionist public – and that’s the damnable, shameful truth.

INEXORABLY and most especially, if only “Bibi” was a statesman (his oratorical prowess and flourishes beside the point), Hamas (and assorted Jihadi hydras) would be too scared to rear its head.

CONCLUSIVELY, may the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob save us (myself included, as an American-Israeli living in Israel) from our derelict leaders!

PM Netanyahu’s GRAVE Dereliction of Duty – Failure To Protect. An Actual Crime! Commentary By Adina Kutnicki

Image result for pics of hamas terror from Gaza

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Back in July 2007, eleven years to date, it was imperative to write “No Crime Without Punishment ” on behalf of Israel National News. Tragically, as then, its essence resonates as if written today. An excerpt reads as follows:

…..Intrinsically, every time the IDF gets close to vanquishing our enemies, they are rolled back. Instead of operating as an offensive force, they have been mandated to wage a defensive war, whose core goal is “containment,” certainly not victory. Why?

Even if one tries to convince oneself that Washington and others prevent the IDF from achieving victory (through various measures), it still doesn’t take the absolute onus off the leadership. First and foremost, it is their sworn duty to protect their citizens.

In essence, Israel’s leadership has become “legal outlaws.” World-recognized, international criminal law expert Professor Louis Beres states,  “Terrorism is a crime under international law, and incontestably one of the most serious. The precise offenses that comprise this crime can be found at the European Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism…. [Every] state has an obligation under international law to prosecute and punish terrorists…. [Any] person who commits an act which constitutes a crime under international law is responsible and liable to punishment….”

In addition, Israel’s Basic Law is very clear. Israeli leadership is obligated to protect the enshrined civil and human rights of its citizens – Zionists included. Doesn’t all the above violate this sacred law?…..
Nullum Crimen Sine Poena. No Crime Without Punishment.
Indeed, in 2007, Israel’s southern belt was continuously fired upon, even after the late PM Sharon, in 2005, executed the wholesale destruction of Gush Katif and parts of the northern Shomron to appease Hamas! Incontestably, from a strategic calculus, what is taking place today must be viewed as the knock-on effects from the appeasement of Gush Katif, a/k/a Gaza, as detailed within “The Bitter Fruits of Disengagement.” Inextricably, those who appease terror ensure more of the same – and exponentially worse! So much so, in August 2011, at the behest of HONENU, Israel’s National Legal Defense Organization – and with first-hand testimony and evidence in hand – the aforementioned expose’ was meant to memorialize the sixth year of the region’s wholesale expulsion and destruction, and to set the record straight for the Jewish people’s collective memory. The following are some searing excerpts, which, as an aside, cause this investigative journalist as much pain today as when the report’s findings were compiled:

Few events in Israel’s recent history sear the Jewish soul as did the destruction of 25 thriving Jewish communities in Gush Katif and the northern Shomron, as ordered by the Sharon-Olmert government. The sixth anniversary of what is referred to as the ‘disengagement’ of August 2005 now looms over Israel’s collective conscience.

In a move that set Jew against Jew, the IDF was used to engineer the expulsion of more than 8,600 people from their homes. Gush Katif residents watched in horror as the living were dragged from their homes and the burial places of the dead were desecrated. Later, 26 synagogues were burned by Arab mobs.

The destruction itself took place over 10 days, but the physical and mental preparations occupied many months beforehand. Three years later, in August 2008, a report entitled “The Mental Preparation for the Disengagement and its Aftermath in the IDF” would shed light on the intense preparations that took place.

The authors call the disengagement “a precise operation” performed with seven levels of security that took 18 months to plan.

“To execute robotic responses [by IDF soldiers] in a precision-like fashion, southern military commander Dan Harel appointed a team of psychologists to ‘transform’ the soldiers’ thought processes,” write authors Ruth Eisikowitch, Dr. Gadi Eshel, Dr Amira Dor, Boaz Haetzni, Attorney Aviad Visoli, Dr. Rachel Tassa and Dr. Moshe Leibler.

The report describes a series of psychological exercises “planned to ‘release’ the soldiers from their conscience by carrying out exercises in emotional disconnect.” The psychologists’ notes on those exercises are detailed in the journal Military Psychology(No. 5, December 2006)…..continue reading the dastardly truth here…..

All of which brings the reader to the here and now.

As regular readers are aware, July 1, 2018 urgently necessitated: “Why Are The IDF’s Hands Tied, As Iranian Agents Amass At The Golan? What Are IDF Military Correspondents/Censors Hiding From The Public? Similarly, a follow-on report, July 20, 2018, should have been an expected clarion call, of course, except for the comatose or willfully blind: “Israel’s Northern/Southern Fronts PRIMED To Explode: Will The IDF, Finally, Be Unleashed?

As such, under rational parameters, one can be forgiven for thinking that “Bibi” would, finally, instruct the IDF: maspik, enough, topple Hamas and kill them off for firing (within the past few weeks) upwards of 250 rockets/missiles; for “kite terror” which continues to destroy (for months on end) tens of thousands of dunams in Israel’s southern belt, and, for the nineteen civilians injured over the last two days!!

Well, one would be (deadly) wrong for believing that protecting the public is his highest priority. It is not.

As always, “Bibi”, Israel’s “serial accommodator” (the buck stops with him) has decided upon “tit for tat” as the IDF’s “strategic” response to continuous terror from the Brotherhood’s Hamas, thereby, deploying the same “knock on roof”  smoke and mirrors shows. Yes, by so doing, the leaders hope to quell a restive and highly-charged Zionist public through toothless and useless actions. Who do they think they are fooling??

After 250 rockets from Gaza hit Israeli locations, one a heavy Grad, Israel’s security cabinet meeting Thursday, Aug. 9, directed the IDF to continue to pursue “powerful action against terrorist forces.” This was tantamount to a decision against a major Israeli military campaign against Hamas at this time, while instead carrying on with tit-for-tat air strikes as before, and leaving the targeted communities to their despair. Some 19 people were injured in the last two days. Hamas is therefore still allowed to call the shots, exactly as it has done in the last four months, while inflicting in Israel diverse brands of terror. It is still up to Hamas to decide whether to stop shooting rockets at Israel or continue the barrage ongoing for two days, as well as determining the level of its retaliation for Israeli reprisals.

Therefore, after an Israel air strike demolished the five-story Hamas internal security building in the Gaza City’s Rimal district – in return for the first Grad fired on Beersheba, a major city in southern Israel, in four years, Hamas is expected to ratchet up its rocket fire on Israeli civilian locations in the coming hours and days. Israel forewarned residents of the Rimal district of the bombardment. The building was therefore empty of Hamas officials, a repeat of the “knock on roof” tactic the Israeli Air Force used in the past to avert collateral civilian casualties in counter-terror attacks.

This practice is an element in the IDF-Hamas duel which has its own strange rules. In the heat of Wednesday’s rocket barrage, Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gady Eisenkot stated that the IDF “is better prepared than it has been in the past decades.” Prepared for what? No answer was forthcoming from the cabinet the next day. In the general’s judgment, Hamas has still not broken those unwritten rules. He therefore persuaded the prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman to hold back from approving a full-scale campaign to halt Hamas’ nagging violence once and for all.

Realizing that this stance will offend the popular will, in the sight of the suffering of the targeted population of southwestern Israel, both have not been seen or heard in public for some days. Meanwhile, they are hoping against hope that something may come of the long term truce mediation effort conducted by the UN emissary and Egypt, although realistic chances of this are practically nil.

Bastard leadership.

Still yet, here’s the upshot: regardless of all domestic and foreign political pressures (surely, Trump’s Orwellian “peace plan” is atop the leadership’s calculation to “hold their fire”, of course, no one beholden to Washington would want to interfere with that, as well as their continuous trembling fear of world opinion), Israel’s PM, first and foremost, is duty bound to protect the citizens, without which he becomes a “legal outlaw”, that is, according to  international law.

In this regard, in 2014, then, as now – after the summer-long blitzkrieg by Hamas which blanketed all of Israel, and Hamas was (purposefully) left standing to rebuild and regroup – the IDF’s smoke and mirrors shows targeted empty buildings, warning Gazans in advance of impending attacks! Mind you, in the meanwhile, Hamas’s terror chieftains remain safe in their underground bunkers, only to emerge after the dust settles, so to speak – stronger than ever!!

And just as “Bibi” opined after the IDF’s “tit for tat” in 2014 – that Israel will not negotiate under fire, even as he turned around and did just that – so too he did at yesterday’s Security Cabinet meeting. Has he learned nothing from past “ceasefires?” Rhetorical.

Most significantly, it must be recorded: Hamas controls, yes, they do, when the mighty (but castrated) IDF fires, or ceases its fire; when Israel’s southern citizens cower in bomb shelters, or don’t; when Jewish/Zionist land burns down, or doesn’t, and, most significantly, when Jews can live securely in the Jewish homeland free of constant terror!

And for that, and for all the fiery aftermath, the onus lands on “Bibi’s” head via his absolute dereliction of duty and failure to protect – itself, a grave crime against the majority Zionist public!

Alas, it was not for nothing that in an interview given to Inquisitr.com (Sept. 2014), “ISIS, Islam And Obama: Understanding The threat To The Free World”, Netanyahu’s dereliction of duty became central to the wildfires at hand. As excerpted:

…..Significantly, I am able to access some professionals who are just a notch below the actual decision-making level and their rage is duly palpable. It is these intimate “off the record” conversations (through face-to-face meetings, among other avenues) which are particularly scary and worth noting. They are well aware of the acute dangers facing Israel, most of which became greatly exacerbated through too many smoke and mirrors shows (most recently, under PM Netanyahu’s two-term tenure), and “Operation Protective Edge” was more than emblematic of this unflattering descriptor. Besides, it is the most accurate and honest way to define the “operation.”

In other words, without naming names, the following points (via a multiplicity of meetings) became duly resonant:

As highly sought after experts operating mainly (but not exclusively) in areas of strategic affairs and counter-terror, they understand (from grounded experience) what it means for Israel not to win a decisive victory over Hamas, or for that matter over any regional foe. Inherently, we discussed both the strategic knock-on effects (to be explored below), as well as the psychological components of PM Netanyahu’s decision not to bring Hamas to its knees, effectively making them wave the white flag of surrender.

Not inconsequentially, they pointed to a particular internal danger which has been (purposefully) overlooked, but given a tail-wind due to PM Netanyahu’s failure to deliver a full-on, top-down, knockout blow to Hamas. Intrinsically, a growing segment of the Arab minority population has already chosen sides; they are rooting for Hamas’s victory over Israel. Without guile, they identify themselves as “Palestinians” and not as Israelis, even though they completely benefit from all of Israel’s largess. Ingrates. Traitors……

Consequentially, every triumphalist exhortation by Hamas’s leaders (even though a good portion of the Strip has been reduced to rubble…like water off a duck’s back) further sears into the Zionist public’s consciousness certain truths: that their mighty IDF – inarguably the strongest army in the Middle East – were never given orders to liquidate Hamas’s top leadership and their attendant underground command and control centers, a pre-requisite to victory. This is the case even though they had to endure missile blitzes, for weeks on end, blanketing the entire country!…..continue here….

Inextricably, a rational leadership would follow the once fearless Israeli leadership, as expressed thusly: Whack them and finish (זבנג וגמרנו) !! Understood?

But not to restate the obvious, the same sentiments expressed by an Israeli General – upon learning about another ! “ceasefire” – are felt within, though he said it more eloquently:

General: ‘I want to vomit from shame’

Former Southern Command head Brig. Gen. (res.) Zvika Fogel furious at ceasefire with Hamas. ‘We are getting weaker.’

Demonstrably and resolutely, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

{MAJOR UPDATE, July 26, 2018: Israel’s Two-Fronts Explode!!}

IT is not for nothing that Israel’s northern and southern fronts are more than primed to explode, that is, at the time of the enemy’s choosing. In reality, even a blind man should have seen this dual storm-front coming.

NOW, Mohammedans can be counted on to wage Jihad, irrespective of what Israel (the west in toto) does or doesn’t do. However, it is absolutely the case that Israel’s so-called right-wing leaders (never mind the left) have tolerated the intolerable – especially, since the late PM Rabin (in 1993) shook the bloodied hand of “Chairman” Arafat (the godfather of suicide terrorism) at the Oslo (Peace-Death) Accords. In a nutshell, this is how Israel came from there to here.

Image result for pics of rabin and arafat shaking hands

PAINSTAKINGLY, this investigative journalist and Jihadi expert has documented and analyzed PM Netanyahu’s so-called right-wing policies, in juxtaposition to his on-ground decision-making. Even more so, said proofs have evidenced his inability to thwart Washington’s dictates, regardless of which party sits in the White House. So much so, a most recent expose’ demonstrated additional proof of the same.

ON July 1, 2018, the following excerpts were reported:

…..Alas, as I have repeatedly analyzed at interview after interview, the looming disaster – and it is one – at Israel’s Golan border (as well as at the Gaza front) wouldn’t be primed to explode, if not for the fact that PM Netanyahu (over 9 yrs at the helm, preceded by 3 yrs as PM, from 1996-1999) has continuously tethered the nation’s national security to Washington’s apron strings – be they Clinton’s, Bush’s, Obama’s, and, now, Trump’s.

In a (geo-political) nutshell, it explains how thousands ! of Iranian agents are escaping the IDF’s massive firepower at its disposal, even as they inch within a stone’s throw from Israel’s Golan – especially, after all their mega-lifting via this and that strike into Syrian territory! As is said, what’s up with that, Jack, er, “Bibi”? Again, in genuflection to Trump ala two words: Russian Summit.

And while Syria will surely be on the menu, so to speak, the fact remains that now that thousands of Iranian agents are inserted on Israel’s borders, they will never budge, unless the IDF is given “permission” (by Trump, then, by Netanyahu) to dispatch them, once and for all. Mind you, Putin has zero (financial/geo-political) interest in dislodging them, for heavens sake, Russia gave them air and ground support – regardless, of any so-called “promises” to Trump AND Netanyahu. Besides, incontestably, it is akin to closing the barn door after the (terror) horses have escaped – on steroids!

Most significantly, despite President Trump’s demonstrative support for Israel – America’s only reliable ally in the Middle East – his decisions are based (as they should be) on domestic and foreign pressures. Some of which include – through a display of hyper-muscle power politics – mitigating the trumped-up charges now being played out through Mueller & Company’s never-ending Russian investigation, a witch hunt. Enter: the much ballyhooed Russian Summit. Hmm.

But just as Trump must place domestic interests first, so too must PM Netanyahu; a lesson he fails to learn, over and over again. And this Jewish national tragedy has been manifestly proven – herehereherehere, and at countless other links throughout Adina Kutnicki: A Zionist & Conservative Blog…..continue reading here….

HENCE, it was hardly unexpected to find that DEBKAfile Military Intelligence (an unimpeachable site with deep intelligence access throughout the Middle East and beyond) reported on July 18 the following – that which directly supports an ongoing indictment against Netanyahu from this direction, that is, his inability to make any moves without a U.S. Presidential seal of approval! Mind you, two and a half weeks ago, this site (as analyzed within an assessment from July 1) evidenced the same.

The scandal over President Donald Trump’s defense of President Vladimir Putin against US intelligence at the Helsinki press conference – for which he, sort of, apologized – served him too as a distraction from a momentous military-intelligence deal the two presidents secretly contracted at their summit, with Israel’s approval.
DEBKAfile has obtained exclusive access to this deal and can reveal for the first time that it provides for the handover to Russian responsibility of all parts of southern and southwestern Syria abutting on the Israeli and Jordanian borders, including, most importantly, surveillance and observation elevations that oversee all parts of Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean. Trump and Binyamin Netanyahu thereby gave Putin a valuable asset for boosting Russia’s military presence in Syria and the region at large.

TRENCHANTLY – and leaving aside Trump’s political considerations – the fact that Putin is the one who propped up Iranian/Hizballah militias to take over large parts of Syria within spitting distance to the very Golan (Quneitra-based) “red lines” set forth by Netanyahu (ad infinitum), how is it possible that he caved in, once again? Rhetorical.

….the Syrian Army advance on Quneitra opposite the Israeli Golan crumbled on Thursday, July 19, in the absence of Israeli military support. The terms of surrender that rebel leaders signed with Syrian army officers obliged them to hand over all their strongholds, including the town of Quneitra. The Syrian army was able to return to the positions held before the 2011 uprising without a shot. Rebels refusing to sign were to be sent with their families north to Idlib province.

Israeli officials and military leaders were dismayed by a message received from Damascus claiming that the 1974 Separation of Forces Accord, which both governments resuscitated this week, allowed Syrian aircraft, including assault helicopters and UAVs, to fly over the buffer zones of the Golan up to the Israel border.

This Syrian message for the first time forbids the Israeli air force and anti-air missile batteries shooting down Syrian aerial vehicles entering the air space over the buffer zones. On July 13, Israel shot down a Syrian drone entering the buffer zone. This is no longer permissible. Israel is even precluded from discovering if the intruder belongs to Iran or Hizballah, leaving both these hostile entities free to fly at will over Israel’s Golan border.  Furthermore, Assad may have those flight painted with Syrian air force markings, just as he supplies Syrian military uniforms to disguise Hizballah and pro-Iranian Shiite militiamen.

Our sources reveal that it took the Assad regime no more than four days to renege on Syria’s role in the Helsinki accord. For regaining Quneitra, the Syrian army, led by disguised Hizballah and Shiite troops, was obliged to evacuate the Beit Jinn pocket opposite the IDF’s Hermon outpost. On Monday, July 16, the Syrians pretended to pull back, while actually leaving several hundred troops behind – disguised this time as civilians and farmers.

MOST intrinsically, the ”1974 Separation of Forces Accord ” hasn’t been tenable since 2011, in so far that Iran controls Syria, unlike in 1974!! Of course, Netanyahu recognizes this, as does Trump. Never mind Putin….

BUT that’s not all.

IN the same manner in which Israel’s (northern) Golan border with Syria is on fire, so too is its Lebanese (northern) front. As it happens, twelve years after the 2006 war with Lebanon – and a concomitant “ceasefire” – Hizballah has hundreds ! of thousands of missiles ready to unleash on Iran’s command, exponentially more than they had before the war was fought! Indeed, Hizballah is its cat’s-paw, akin to Syria. How can this be? Has Netanyahu learned nothing when it comes to bowing down to Washington, as former PM Olmert did when he signed onto UNSC 1701 via the hand-twisting of Bush via Rice – instead of burying Hizballah, once and for all? Again, rhetorical.

BUT we are not done with the knock-on effects of Netanyahu’s capitulation and prostration. What about the Gaza/Hamas front, of which he has been in charge  since 2009? More of the same….

EVEN so, beforehand, it is mandatory due diligence to “go back in time.”

AS a matter of record, as far back as 2003 (five years before immigrating to Israel), several “in the know” and boots on the ground Israeli contacts felt compelled to give shout outs in this direction – to enlist this megaphone for assistance, seemingly, as a counterweight to the yarns spun forth by Israel’s leftist media, as well as by their U.S. counterparts. Here’s the unvarnished truth….

THEY understood (from their vast experience, particularly, inside Israel’s Defense Establishment, various Special Forces Units, as well as inside other perches) that the late PM Sharon’s so-called disengagement” from Gaza would haunt the nation for decades to come, and in more ways than one. They analyzed that it would be a strategic disaster, as well as a Zionist/national betrayal to boot. Beyond on target.

MORE specifically, it was in 2003 that Sharon, a/k/a “the bulldozer”, floated  “disengagement” as a political “trial balloon” ala Israel’s leftist media organs. He knew that the destruction of thriving, Zionist/nationalist communities would gain their full-throated support, even though they detested his (prior) ‘right-wing’ status. As to why Sharon executed a volte-face from his warrior roots, well, as always, follow the money. Regardless, let’s move on….

EFFECTIVELY, in June 2004, it was under “the bulldozer’s” wings that the government decided to utterly destroy 25 thriving Jewish communities in Gush Katif and the northern Shomron, to the degree that over 8,000 law-abiding Jewish (secular and national religious) citizens had their lives torn asunder, in 2005. Not only that, even the dead were uprooted from their resting places! Who does that??

ENRAGINGLY, once Sharon became a political animal, his much ballyhooed military prowess couldn’t even “see from there to here” on the most basic strategic level and calculus. What did he think would happen, that Hamas (with the back-up of assorted Jihadi groups) would take up knitting? Still, mendaciously, he opined:

“I am convinced from the depth of my heart and my best knowledge that this disengagement will strengthen Israel in its holding of the land necessary for our existence and will be blessed and recognized by those near and far, will reduce hatred, will break through boycotts and sieges and will promote us towards peace with the Palestinians and the rest of our neighbors.”

BUT if the disaster he wrought upon the nation (by empowering Hamas, as they go from strength to strength through the wreckage of Gush Katif, a/k/a Gaza) requires elaboration, a particular report encapsulates the tale. So, look no further than to “The Bitter Fruits of Disengagement “, one (of many) analysis produced from the aforementioned “shout-outs.” Beyond the pale.

ALAS, fast forward to the here and now – thirteen years onward to the fiery southern front! Never mind the last (unfinished) go-around with Hamas, in 2014. But don’t forget Netanyahu’s bald-faced lie, right after the 2014 summer-long blitzkrieg from Hamas: Israel will not negotiate under fire! O RLY?

TIME and again, he reneged on promises to cancel the edicts from the so-called “disengagement”, only to back off. Let’s face it, he is a serial liar.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied claims that Israel agreed to a ceasefire with Hamas that would allow the terrorist organization to continue to launch burning kites from the Gaza Strip onto Israeli communities.

“I have heard some say that Israel agreed to a ceasefire that does not include the cessation of kite terrorism,” Netanyahu said at his weekly Cabinet meeting on Sunday. “We are not prepared to accept any attacks against us and we will respond accordingly.”

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman spoke at the start of a cabinet meeting about the latest escalation in the Gaza Strip and the possibility of continued kite terrorism under the auspices of the ceasefire reported last night.

“There is no intention to contain rockets or kites and anything,” Liberman said. “I hope that Hamas will draw conclusions, and if they do not, they will have to pay a heavy price.”

This morning, Sunday, ministers Naftali Bennett and Yisrael Katz criticized the government’s policy vis-à-vis the Hamas terrorist organization that controls the Gaza Strip.

Minister Bennett said at the cabinet meeting, “For three months, we have been witness to incendiary terror of about 1,000 balloons on residents of the Gaza vicinity. In recent days alone, the residents of the south absorbed about 200 rockets. In timing that is convenient for it, Hamas dictates that there will now be a ceasefire.”

“Let it be clear: a ceasefire without stopping terror is not a deterrent – it is surrender. I and the justice minister [Ayelet Shaked] will oppose any ceasefire that allows Hamas to rearm and continue to fire balloons at the residents of the south. The time has come to act,” he added.

Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) added that he expects Defense Minister Liberman to present the cabinet with a proposal for a clear policy vis-a-vis Gaza.

The collapse of Hamas and the elimination of terror, or separation from all civilian responsibility and the creation of a boundary line with full deterrence – as with Syria and Lebanon. There is no option of continuing in the current situation. It is not fair to the residents of the Gaza vicinity and harms the security of the State of Israel,” Katz said.

TRAGICALLY, only a handful of Israel’s Ministers have the courage to speak truth to power. Still, Netanyahu is the one with the final word, and it is his “serial accommodation” which has placed both fronts on the brink.

When Ariel was asked (on 7/15/18) how he would respond to residents who asked him to explain the government’s policy, the minister replied that he would not try to explain the policy.

“I cannot explain the government’s policy, because what I do not understand – I cannot explain,” said Minister Ariel.

A ceasefire is not good for Sderot and not good for the Jewish people. We are allowing Hamas to organize for the next round, which will be in a week or in two hours, and we are the ones inviting it,” he said.

MOST significantly, Israel’s leaders (be they from Likud or another), in war after war with Hizballah and Hamas, have yet to order the army to bring the enemy to their knees, despite the fact that the IDF is, inarguably, the strongest army in the Middle East. Not only that, Israel has the most technologically advanced military on Earth, as well as the most powerful air force, according to Business Insider.

  • Would a normal leadership allow citizens to live under a continuous reign of terror, when their military has the firepower to stop the enemy in their tracks?
  • Why is “containment” still considered a viable security strategy – after years of enemy fire – not to mention the thousands of dead and maimed (Jewish) citizens as its deadly result?
  • Why is “restraint is strength”/havlaga still part and parcel alike? And, what does it even mean?
  • Is “tit for tat” acceptable anywhere else in the civilized world?
  • Finally, isn’t it obvious why Hamas continuously fires rockets (for years on end), currently, terrorizing Israel’s south with “kite terror” (for months on end) too, with only a “tit for tat” IDF response, if even that?

LET there be no doubt: Israel’s so-called right-wing leadership execute akin to their counterparts on the left, as astutely analyzed by Dr. Martin Sherman, Israel’s foremost strategic policy analyst. Incontestably, it matters not a whit if the Zionist public leans left or right. The outcome is one and the same: Vote right, get left.

ABOVE all else, when a nation’s leadership messages the enemy that crimes against their people will go unpunished – regardless of their false bravado – it is always the case that a national disaster isn’t far behind.

TO wit, if both fronts weren’t primed to explode, that would be the shocker!

INEXTRICABLY, rational Israelis recognize that Netanyahu is – and has always been – a “serial accommodator. Herein lie the explosive fruits of his (mis)labors!

{MEMO: FB’s censors are limiting the sharing of Adina Kutnicki: A Zionist & Conservative Blog! Indeed, the following message from FB’s censors is crystal clear:

Those who keep track of current events – particularly the duplicitous political maneuverings within the Holy Land – would themselves have to be in a coma not to know that ex PM Ariel Sharon is at death’s door, having been in a coma since 2006.

NOW is not the time to go into too many personal feelings on the matter, but some facts need to be aired: the following op-ed would not have been written had Ariel Sharon, aka “The Bulldozer”, taken a different path – The Bitter Fruits of ‘Disengagement’

Few would argue that Sharon wasn’t a military hero, but this in no way mitigated the grave damage he executed under his iron-fisted political rule. As an aside, many (though hardly all) of Israel’s political elites led distinguished military careers, only to bring much pain to the Zionist struggle upon entering politics.

Sentiments aside, truth still matters, even as a leader is about to meet his Maker. A re-scripting of one’s legacy won’t fly at this site. Everyone, regardless of their station in life, at one point or another, will require a “cheshbon hanefesh”, an accounting of the soul. No one is immune.

In this regard, it is duly instructive to record a very revealing expose’, yet its findings are hardly news to this American-Israeli. However, it will be to many of this blog’s readership.

Alas, let us take a trip down “memory” lane, and the time frame is not even a blip on the (recent) historical radar.

Feet of clay…the truth shall set us free, especially from hero worship!

The Jewish Voice and Opinion

A new report seems to validate the theory that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s expulsion plan is based on corruption, which, the report says, is rampant throughout Israel’s government.
The report, issued at the beginning of August, placed Israel’s government as the second “most corrupt” among developed nations. Only Italy scored worse. In terms of political stability, Israel emerged last. Israel’s rating was 15 percent. It’s closest “competitor” for this honor, Italy, scored 56.3 percent.

The report, produced by Business Data Israel, is based on World Bank statistics.

It placed Israel second to last among developed nations in terms of government efficiency, and dead last in terms of over-regulation.

Tip of the Iceberg

According to Middle East commentator and analyst Rachel Neuwirth, figures like these may explain “Israel’s insanely self-destructive decision to expel the Jewish population of Gaza and part of Samaria, and to withdraw Israel’s military outposts from these areas, which are essential for Israel’s defense.”

While some of Israel’s newspapers covered the dismal facts included in the report, virtually none of the mainstream media noticed the connection between corruption and the expulsion plan. However, the Israeli Knesset Controls Committee, whose mandate is to consider accountability in government service and to report to Israel’s State Comptroller, did seem to connect the dots, revealing that Eival Giladi, the prime minister’s appointee to administer the entire disengagement plan, has a special incentive to succeed: He is paid handsomely by Palestinian interests to orchestrate the incursion of Palestinian enterprises—resorts, housing, and casinos—that are slated to replace the evicted Jewish communities.

“This is the tip of the iceberg of people close to the prime minister who stand to reap personal benefit from the disengagement,” said David Bedein, bureau chief of the Jerusalem-based Israel Resource News Agency.

Others include Cyril Kern, an old friend and army buddy who is now a wealthy British businessman; Austrian financier Martin Schlaf; and Mr. Sharon’s closest advisor, chief of staff, and personal emissary Dov Weisglass.

Tangible Motive

Ms. Neuwirth dismissed some of the more widespread explanations behind the disengagement, including the “deeply engrained Jewish tendency to seek to please friends and protectors and to appease all enemies at all costs” and the possibility that Mr. Sharon is being blackmailed by Israel’s leftist public prosecutors, “who are zealous supporters of the ‘peace process’ and who have been threatening to bring criminal charges against Sharon and his two sons.”

Rather, she said, the explanation is more likely corruption. New revelations, she said, have caused this tangible motive to become increasingly plausible.

“Sharon appears to be personally and financially beholden to a circle of financial backers and campaign contributors who stand to make a killing from the Gaza disengagement. In addition, at least one, and possibly three, other powerful officials in the Sharon administration seem to have a financial interest in the expulsion/withdrawal operation,” she said.

Mysterious Loan

Her explanation began with the mysterious loan received by Mr. Sharon from his old friend and former army buddy, Cyril Kern, now a wealthy British businessman. According to reports, Mr. Sharon used the loan to pay a stiff fine imposed on him by Israel’s election authority for his solicitation of illegal campaign contributions.

Unfortunately for Mr. Sharon, it is also illegal in Israel for a public official to   accept loans from a foreign national.

Despite a widely publicized investigation by Israel’s public prosecutors office, Mr. Sharon was never charged with a crime. One of his defense arguments was that since Mr. Kern had no business interests in Israel, the loan could not be construed as a bribe.

Gaza Casino

Now it appears that is not so clear-cut. A new corporation has been formed to develop a gambling casino on the site of the Gaza Jewish community of Elei Sinai whose land was slated for confiscation and whose residents were marked for expulsion. The principal organizer of the venture is financier Samuel Flatto-Sharon, an Israeli who fled from justice in France more than 20 years ago after he was charged with embezzling hundreds of millions of dollars from investors in a fund he had managed. Under the law of return, Mr. Flatto-Sharon received refuge and citizenship in Israel.

Other investors in the new corporation include a Saudi billionaire and Mr. Kern.

According to Ms. Neuwirth, this is not Mr. Kern’s first venture into the Palestinian casino world. He was a major investor in the casino in Jericho which was forced to close during the recent intifada. Palestinians were always barred from the casino, and the Palestinian violence prompted the Israeli government to prohibit Jewish travel to the city.

One or Two Casinos

Another major investor in the Jericho casino was Austrian financier Martin Schlaf, who is described in the Israeli press as a close personal friend of Mr. Sharon. According to Ms. Neuwirth, he was also a major source of the   illegal campaign contributions that Mr. Sharon used in his run for prime minister in 2001.

According to Ms. Neuwirth, the Jericho casino’s investors have not given up hope that their enterprise there can be revived. The casino is still standing and could easily be refurbished. The Israeli military, however, has expressed doubts that the Palestinian Authority, which governs Jericho, is willing to provide even minimal security in the town.

“Hence, the interest in a new casino in the Gaza-Gush Katif area,” said Ms. Neuwirth.

Resolving the Conflict

She said she would not be surprised if Mr. Schlaf becomes a player in the proposed new casino, because his company has exclusive rights to operate other casinos in territories administered by the PA. However, Ms. Neuwirth said, it is still unclear how the separate groups managed by Mr. Flatto-Sharon and Mr. Schlaf would resolve their conflicting interests in the Gaza casino development.

“Will they cooperate or fight it out for control?” she said, suggesting that perhaps Mr. Kern, who has been described in the Israeli press as an investor in both casino enterprises, will act as “a bridge between them.”

“Those possessing a morbid fascination with evil will undoubtedly watch closely to see how the jackals divide up the spoils,” she said.

Portland Trust

However, the Flatto-Sharon and Schlaf groups are not the only ones who stand to profit from the properties of Jews forced to leave Gaza. The managing director of yet a third such enterprise, Portland Trust, is Mr. Giladi, who was appointed by Mr. Sharon as the official “coordinator” of the expulsion-retreat. In this capacity, Mr. Giladi, a reserve brigadier-general in the IDF, oversees all public policy aspects of the disengagement relating to all government offices in the process, including the police, the general secret service, the IDF, the government press office, the relocation authority, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Foreign Ministry.

The British-owned Portland Trust corporation has plans to raise $500 million to build 150,000 housing units for Arabs on the land seized from the Jewish farmers in Gaza. The corporation also plans to invest in the social and economic development of Gaza and, in general, to help Palestinians replace the Jewish community of Gush Katif once the Jews are gone. It, too, has “recommended” casino development for the formerly Jewish areas of Gaza.

“Giladi will substantially augment his meager income as an Israeli civil servant by directing the development of the land, whose former owners were to be evacuated, after he supervises their evacuation himself. No public official, it would seem, has ever had a stronger incentive for getting his job done,” said Ms. Neuwirth.

Promoting Britain’s Goals

The principal investor in the Portland Trust is Sir Ronald Cohen, a British billionaire who serves as a close advisor and political backer of the second   highest official in the British government, Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown. Mr. Cohen also recently bought Israel’s monopoly telephone company, Bezeq.

According to the Portland Trust’s corporate charter, one of its objectives is   to promote the foreign policy goals of the British government and the European Community in the Middle East.

“One of these goals is, of course, to bring about Israel’s withdrawal to its pre-1967 ‘Auschwitz borders,’ as the late Israeli foreign minister Abba Eban named them,” said Ms. Neuwirth. “That makes corporate CEO and withdrawal-expulsion coordinator Giladi a foreign agent as well as a public official with a massive conflict of interest.”

Knesset Scrutiny

Mr. Giladi’s conflict of interest did not escape the notice of the Knesset Controls Committee. On July 26, the committee’s chairman, [the late] Dr. Yuri Shtern, asked representatives of the Prime Minister’s Office for their rationale in appointing Mr. Giladi to his position.

They responded that they had received a letter from Gideon Meir, the deputy director of the Information Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stating that Mr. Giladi was “the only man qualified for the job.” The letter was dated April 4, 2005, and Mr. Giladi was appointed on April 10.

The Prime Minister’s Office had no response when asked why the position was not filled in the usual manner, which would include the framework of a public tender in order to interview other candidates.

Conflict of Interest

Other members of the committee, including MKs Uri Ariel (National Union) and Zevulun Orlev (National Religious Party), asked if Mr. Giladi had signed a “conflict of interest” agreement, which would prevent him from entering into any situation in which he might personally benefit from any government role he would undertake.

The prime minister’s representatives responded that Mr. Giladi had signed the agreement one hour before the Knesset Controls Committee meeting.

Nevertheless, Ozrad Lev, a former high-ranking Israeli intelligence officer who also served as financial advisor to the PA and wrote what is considered a seminal book on Yasir Arafat’s bank accounts, testified to the   committee that Mr. Giladi’s appointment represents “a built-in conflict of interest.”

“Giladi must choose between Portland Trust and the Israeli government,” said Mr. Lev, mentioning the precedent of the Israeli government liaison to the PA, the late Yossi Ginosar, who was subsequently hired by Mr. Arafat to represent PA business interests.

Mr. Lev noted that former Attorney General Elyakim Rubenstein ruled that Mr. Ginosar could not perform both roles at once, since the government of Israel was also in negotiation with the PA.

No Coverage

The Knesset Controls Committee agreed, and requested that the Knesset as a whole order a mandatory investigation by the State Comptroller into the conflict of interest posed by Mr. Giladi.

Although the Speaker of the Knesset, Reuven Rivlin (Likud), approved the subject for “quick” consideration, the entire issue has barely received any mention in any of Israel’s major newspapers or on Israeli radio or television.

“The mainstream media in Israel will not cover this subject,” said Mr. Bedein.

Many observers have noted that the mainstream media in Israel refuses to cover any issue that might impact adversely on the expulsion plan. Mr. Bedein said public pressure might have persuaded the Prime Minister’s Office to suspend Mr. Giladi until the investigation had concluded.

Another public official who has a possible financial interest in the disengagement is Dov Weisglass, reputed to be the principal architect and driving force behind the expulsion plan.

“His only qualification for advising the prime minister about matters vital to Israel’s security is the fact that he has long been Sharon’s personal attorney, the man who has helped him bail out of countless legal scrapes over the years,” said Ms. Neuwirth.

According to press reports, Mr. Weisglass’s law firm, from which he is on temporary leave while he works in the Prime Minister’s Office, represents Mr. Schlaf’s Austrian company that is a part owner of the gambling casino in Jericho and has a franchise from the PA to develop future casinos.

PA Connection

Mr. Weisglass’s firm also represents the business interests of the PA itself, which owns a substantial interest in the Palestinian casino companies and is either a part or full owner of nearly all businesses in the territory it rules.

According to Ms. Neuwirth, Mr. Weisglass is also a friend of Muhammad Rashid, often referred to as the “shadowy” Palestinian financier who managed to loot PA-owned companies and transfer their assets to the personal accounts of Mr. Arafat and other Palestinian officials.

According to Ms. Neuwirth, Messrs Weisglass and Rashid celebrated Mr. Sharon’s 2001 election victory, along with Mr. Sharon’s sons, in the swank apartment owned by Mr. Rashid in Tel Aviv.

Shimon Peres

Ms. Neuwirth also named veteran Israeli politician and the current Israeli Deputy Prime Minister, Shimon Peres, as yet another Israeli official who may have a financial interest in the expulsion.

Mr. Peres was the founder of a venture capital entity called the “Peace Technology Fund” (PTF), which was chartered in the Cayman Islands and took as its stated goal bringing together investors from throughout the world to promote development in the PA territories, including Gaza. It also sought to encourage cooperation between Israel and the PA.

Among the fund’s investments were real estate companies. Many press reports have acknowledged that, in the months before the expulsion plan was implemented, real estate prices in the vicinity of the Israeli communities slated for evacuation, went sky high.

In early 2005, Mr. Bedein asked how much the secretive PTF was paying Mr. Peres to act as an “investment finder.”

Personal Financial Stake

PTF was managed by the Evergreen Partners investment company, which is controlled by chairman Jacob Burak, who raised $65 million for it. By the   time PTF dissolved in April 2005, the fund had invested $20 million in enterprises in the PA, including shares of the Palestinian Telecommunications Company, the Ramallah shopping mall, and a Palestinian mortgage bank.

When it went out of business, PTF sold all its holdings, returned money to its investors, and liquidated its activity. It sold its investments to Palestinian entities.

According to Evergreen Partners, the official reason for closing the fund was “because of the security situation, which does not allow it to operate as its founders envisioned.”

According to Mr. Bedein, it is still not clear what Mr. Peres’s personal financial stake was in PTF and how much he derived, and may continue to derive, from its investments.

“Sense of Shame”

Faced with the picture of Israel’s government depicted in the BDI report, Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz said that fighting corruption could not be the task only of the country’s legal system. Some attention, he said, must be accorded to “the swamp that nourishes it.”

His solution is to seek a societal transformation that would restore a sense   of shame. Israel’s Movement for Quality Government has demanded the establishment of an anti-corruption council.

In an editorial on the issue of the report, the Jerusalem Post said what was needed “is a complete revision of who gets to govern and how.”

It is no secret that, in Israel, civil service and party loyalty are infamously intertwined. One of the secrets to Mr. Sharon’s success in staying in office, despite his having fractured the population, is his largesse in handing out jobs. The number of portfolios in the Knesset is such that cabinet ministers and deputy ministers, who enjoy financial control and numerous perks, make up nearly one-third of the parliament. Once entrenched, these politicians are usually not so willing to jeopardize their positions over the mere matter of ethics.

“The apparent reality is that Israel’s government is a cesspool of corruption and treason. Its prime minister appears willing to place his people in mortal peril by destroying their national security, unity, and morale, for no better purpose than to confer financial benefits on his financial backers and political hangers-on,” said Ms. Neuwirth.

Epilogue (by Prof. Eidelberg):

Without minimizing the personal shortcomings of Israeli politicians, and perhaps of Israel’s morally neutral system of higher education, the magnitude of the corruption detailed in the above report is a direct consequence of Israel’s parliamentary system of government in which Knesset Members are not individually elected by and accountable to the voters in geographic-constituency elections—the practice of almost all of the more than 80 (eighty) countries examined by this writer, which countries were listed as “democracies” by the New York based Freedom House.

As an adjunct to Professor Paul Eidelberg’s on target epilogue, the following is more than food for thought, regarding the paradox of Israeli politics: vote right (Likud), you still get left.

As night follows day, when the inevitable halos become affixed to Sharon’s head, once he is officially declared deceased, recall the above.

And don’t blame the messengers, those of us who are unwilling to pretend what is isn’t.

YES, truth matters.

Israel’s Traitorous/Treacherous Left Dances On Jewish Ruins/Graves & Colludes/Celebrates With PA Arab Jihadists: The Enemy Within…Commentary By Adina Kutnicki

ON so many levels the following report evinced deeply held guttural emotions, and intertwined within was the abiding connection that this American-Israeli’s “blood brother” had with the subject matter. He fought (literally) against Arab jihadists, as well as against Jewish traitors. A dagger to the (Zionist) heart.

But to understand the core of the issue, one must also internalize the never ending damage wrought by Israel’s hard core left, as well as the many betrayals from Israel’s leadership (whichever party has the helm…Israel’s Paradox:Vote Right, Get Left ) who actually operate on their behalf.

In particular, the so called “disengagement”, in August 2005, was really a hideous expulsion/destruction of over 9,000 Jewish patriots. “The Bitter Fruits Of “Disengagement” hardly does the horror justice, but its basic essence is more than resonant.

Yet, where does this blogger’s “blood brother” come in? Everywhere.

Specifically, as a Sayeret Matkal commando, Tsafrir Ronen, was involved in defending Israel from near and far, and most notably as part of the force during the raid on Entebbe. However, there were many dynamics to this incredible Zionist, a champion among champions. One of his many endeavors involved a frontal determination, through a concerted, action-oriented struggle, to return Jews to their communities which were destroyed at the hands of Israel’s leadership, both in Gush Katif and the northern Shomron during the blasted “disengagement”. As a result, he was a leading pioneer of “Homesh First”, a starting point to returning the land to their rightful Jewish owners.

As the soul of Zionist activist Tsafrir Ronen enters shomayim, Israel is moved into action against antagonistic, Islamic jihadist Hamas – video embedded

Just days after Israeli nationalist leader, Tsafrir Ronen, entered shomayim (heaven), Israel finally took defensive actions against Hamas’ terrorism.  May his memory be an inspiration. Israel National News reports:”Tsafrir Ronen z”l, long associated with the establishment of new yishuvim (settlements) throughout Israel, passed away over Shabbat. Among Mr. Ronen’s many accomplishments was the establishment of the “Nahalal Forum,” which encompassed right wing, secular Zionist Jews. He also helped establish Kibbutz Gilgal in the Jordan Valley in 1973, and in more recent years was associated with efforts to help Jews settle in Judea and Samaria.Tributes poured in mourning Ronen’s loss. The “Homesh First” group said that “Tsafrir Ronen was a true partner in the efforts to return to Homesh.” Women in Green called him “a proud Jew who fought for the Land of Israel with his whole heart and soul.” MK Aryeh Eldad said that “Tsafrir was a tireless fighter for the Land of Israel and the right of Jews to settle in all its parts.” His funeral will take place on Sunday at 2PM in the moshav Moledet in northern Israel.”Tsafrir Ronen’s writings expose Jihadist Muslims’ self-confessed, manufacturing fabricating a “Palestinian national” identity as a political device to de-legitimize a Jewish sovereignty amidst a Muslim region. Mr. Ronen references this in his article,Hadrian’s Curse: The Invention of Palestine as a Psychological Weapon for Conquering Eretz Yisrael which was recently announced is being developed as a documentary for Israel Broadcasting. Mr. Ronen wrote:

At the Annapolis Conference, George Bush spoke about his vision regarding the virtues of two nations for two peoples.

One of those peoples has a clear identity – the Jewish People. Yet it would be interesting to know the identity of that second people: Already in 1977, one of the central spokesman of that “second people”, a member of P.L.O. leadership, Zahir Muhsein, the leader of the al-Sa’iqa Organization, revealed the truth in an interview to the Dutch newspaper, Trouw:

“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa. While as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.”

Mr. Ronen’s fighting spirit can be heard in this Yishai Fleischer, radio interview on Pres. Bush’s last political visit to the Middle East.

So, knowing that Israel’s rabid and rancid left are basically dancing on the destroyed Jewish communities and (no doubt) some grave sites too, while they agitate/collaborate with the enemy, well, that’s a treachery too far. IF Tsafrir were still alive, let’s just say that these Jewish traitors and their Arab counterparts would have had nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, for he would have absolutely challenged them at their anti-semitic rally, chased them like few others would dare. This is a fact. And, this is also why – among other reasons – he was one in a million.

Shock in Samaria: Israeli Leftists at Anti-Semitic Rally

Israeli leaders in Samaria were horrified to learn this week that Israeli leftists with the Yesh Din organization took part in an Arab celebration on the ruins of the Jewish community of Homesh.

During the celebration Jewish symbols at the site were replaced with PLO flags, and a banner was waved that depicted a man in religious Jewish garb with a spear through his mouth.

Yesh Din was instrumental in causing the celebration as well. The group’s lawyers filed the lawsuit that lead the government’s legal adviser to declare that the government would transfer Homesh to Arab hands.

Acting head of the Samaria Council Yossi Dagan – who himself was expelled from Sa-Nur, near Homesh – was appalled to hear that Yesh Din had been at the rally. “The extreme left has hit an unbelievable low,” he said.

There were people at the celebration rally who called to murder Jews, he noted.

“We’re used to incitement and even libel from extreme-left organizations. But even for an extremist group like them, this crosses a red line, and brings them to depths I wouldn’t have dreamed they would reach,” he continued.

“I’m trying to picture how they have the audacity to seek donations from Israelis on the one hand, and to participate in anti-Semitic rallies where people call to murder Jews on the other,” Dagan said. In contrast to the group’s self-definition as a peace-seeking organization, “the security situation is likely to deteriorate due to its activities and provocations” in the region, he warned.

He called on the government to take a strong stance on the matter by stripping Yesh Din of its NGO status.

Yesh Din gets roughly 94% of its funding from foreign sources, among themthe European Union. In 2012 the group got over 1.1 million shekels from the EU, 1.2 million from the Norwegian foreign ministry, 120,000 from Holland’s embassy in Israel, and 120,000 from the British Foreign Ministry.

Also Present: PA Legal Official
The Palestinian Authority also played a troubling role at the rally. One of the men who held up the anti-Semitic poster depicting a dead Jew has reportedly been identified as Samir Dausha, a senior PA legal official in the Shechem region.

Yesh Din: It’s the Occupation
Yesh Din director Haim Erlich admitted that the group had representatives at the Arab rally in Homesh, but denied that the overall tone of the rally was anti-Semitic.

“During the event celebrating the restoration of lands, one anti-Semitic banner was indeed displayed by a Palestinian man who does not live in the area. After a short time, at the request of various people, the banner was taken down,” he said.

“Unfortunately, the reality of occupation creates mutual hatred between some Israelis and some Palestinians, and sometimes it spills over into hostile expressions and cruel actions,” he continued. “As a human rights organization, Yesh Din is trying to fight for a different reality, a better reality.”

When dealing with Israel’s left one must also realize where their funding comes from, and what their goals are: a Judenrein Israel, within the mythical “green line” and beyond. Now, a brief history lesson, regarding this or that “cease fire” line (mind you, after a war which Israel won hands down!), is in order before we get to the malevolent Israeli left and their EU and Washington helpmates. From this blogger’s interview at Inquisitr are the following two lessons:

The legal status of Judea and Samaria is currently “disputed” territories, even after Israel recaptured its (San Remo codified) heartland from an annihilatory waged war in 1967. Besides, whatever happened to “the victor goes the spoils” ? Regardless,”occupied” territories has become the accepted lexicon and tragically Israel’s left keeps trotting out the “occupation”, as if it is a truth derived from Sinai. Adding to the crux of the matter, it is absolutely, irrefutably the legal case that San Remo bestowed Palestine to the Jewish people. San Remo bases itself on Article 22 of the League of Nations, as such, ” a sacred trust of civilization” was declared and this Mandate created a Jewish national home in Palestine (incidentally, Palestine is the pejorative name given to Judea by the Roman Emperor Hadrian, over 2,000 years ago, as a reminder of the Philistines, an ancient enemy of the Jewish people). Even more so, the following clause was significantly added: “Whereas recognition has thereby been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country.” The legal case is closed, or so it would seem. But when it comes to Jewish title to their historical, legal, biblical birthright, nothing is as it should be. Up is down and wrong is right. Is it any wonder that evil is now reconstituted as good? For a complete education on the subject I refer the readers to Howard Grief’s (an eminent international legal expert) tour de force ” The Legal Foundation and Borders of Israel Under International Law.” What a fountain of (legal) truth….

Now, let’s move onto to the pernicious Israeli left and their deleterious damage to the one and only Jewish homeland – Israel.

First and foremost, the Post-Zionist movement in Israel is replete within every sector where civil society elitists permeate. They burrow deeply inside the political and military hierarchies and their tentacles reach within academia, media, legal, cultural and public diplomacy arenas. Many are leftist ideologues, but some are simply well paid whores, handsomely provided for by various foreign-funded NGO’s, all in order to ply their wares. The New Israel Fund (among others) is a major umbrella front for those who seek to delegitimize Israel as the Jewish national homeland. On the other hand, it is estimated that a very small fraction (approximately 3%) of the Jewish majority public veers to the left. Nevertheless, the majority’s wishes are continually marginalized, and herein lies much of the rancor and push back from nationalist Jews, of which I am immeasurably aligned with.

Adding to the morass, the fact that Israel has yet to adopt a Constitution (Professor Paul Eidelberg, a renowned American-Israeli political scientist cited above – a PhD from the University of Chicago – has drafted/shaped many of Israel’s future Constitutional components, and they are held within the Knesset as place markers) muddies the waters. In word and deed, this is a fatal flaw which allows many offenses – which would otherwise be deemed treasonous – to fly under the radar, despite Israel’s Basic Laws.

As to the mental aberration, why Jews (hailing chiefly from the left) side with sworn enemies, well, this is a question which Dr. Kenneth Levin, a Harvard psychiatrist, as well as a PhD historian from Princeton, answered in his masterpiece; a monumental, epoch feat of scholarship “The Oslo Syndrome: Delusions of a People Under Siege.” To make a long story short (and to save myself from a throbbing headache…this subject irks to no end), a chronically besieged people – and the Jewish people qualify like none other – often end up internalizing the hatred and delude themselves about the malevolent intent of their enemies. The visceral, non-quenching hatred is too onerous to bear, therefore, fantasy becomes blurred with reality. Feeling totally out of control, they invent a fairy tale, not unlike chronically abused children. But this is just its tip, the rest must be gleaned through the book itself. It is an eye opener and jaw dropper….

As to the New Israel Fund, its dangers to Israel are such that a separate commentary was written about its noose around Israel’s neck. May they all rot in hell.

Full disclosure: this American-Israeli has a very large extended family in Israel, most of whom are right wing nationalists, while some consider themselves “centrists”, whatever that entails. Be that as it may, every family has its “black sheep”, but these misfits are usually just a familial embarrassment and that’s that. However, “left sheep” are often another breed and herein lies the difference, for they may very well become dangers to the nation. Now, not the sort to name names in this context, but there is one (and may very well be more, since it is hard to keep track of such a large family) Israeli cousin who is a hard core leftist, and she likely gives “aid and comfort” to our Arab enemies. Her FB page (in Hebrew…and this makes it worse, being that it is in the mother tongue) reads like a love/siren song to our Arab enemies and more than a bitch slap to fellow Zionists, let alone family members. Livid.

Alas, everyone (within and outside family confines) is entitled to their political persuasion, but no one is allowed to provide aid to the enemy. Period. In this regard, the above relation is just as dangerous as anyone else, regardless of family kinship.

To be sure, this site makes NO apologies for terming the above Jewish left a cancer, one which must be expelled from the nation. Some belong in jail for treason, but that is not a likely scenario for Israel’s courts are held in the vise-grip of far left prosecutors and judges.

A recipe for national disaster!

Arabs/Muslims Threaten Mayhem & Israel’s Response: CONTINUOUS Dhimmitude/Appeasement On The Temple Mount – Judaism’s Thousands Year Old Anchor/Bedrock – Where Does The Onus Lie? Commentary By Adina Kutnicki

VERY few political situations cause this blogger to cry, after all, there are so many outrages to well up over. Assuredly, if one cried all the time nothing would get accomplished and that’s not going to help the situation. One just has to buck up and soldier on, at least if the goal is to pursue justice – tzedek tzedek tirdof, justice justice you shall pursueIn fact, this is precisely a major goal of this blog site.

HOWEVER, there is only so much degradation and humiliation a nationalist Zionist can endure, without the tears overflowing. One such devastating point in time was back in August 2005, and the tears flowed all the way from the east coast of the U.S.! Spitting bullets too. In fact, the following should leave no doubt as to how outraged this American-Israeli was, and still is, over the referenced subject – the so called ‘disengagement’ from Gush Katif (aka Gaza) and the Northern Shomron in Judea and Samaria, Judaism’s/Israel’s heartland. The Bitter Fruits of ‘Disengagement’ is so heart rending, it would take a stone cold person not to succumb.

Aside from too many outrages to count (who can keep up?) within the Jewish homeland, what occurred, at this juncture in time, to bring on the waterworks? Well, it is certainly not a new subject – not by a long shot – however, being that the leadership allowed said humiliation to occur on Tisha Be’av – of all days – is too onerous to bear in silence.

As proof that this dastardly act is not a one off, peer withinRegardless of what PM Netanyahu opines, the fact of the matter is that Israel’s leadership (despite their immediate outrage after each and every anti-Jewish dictate) have become the poster children for appeasement, even though its armed forces are stellar. The entire spectrum is duly explained within a recent interview at Inquisitr, no sense re-working the wheel, so to speak.

Hundreds of Jews denied entry to Temple Mount after riot threats

Politicians responded with outrage and bitter disappointment as the confluence of Ramadan and Tisha Be’av inflame the situation.

Politicians responded with outrage and bitter disappointment Tuesday morning after being denied entry – along with hundreds of rank and file Jews and Christians – to the Temple Mount on Tisha Be’av, the sacred annual day of mourning, due to police concerns over Muslim rioting.

Admittance to the Temple Mount, administered by the Wakf Muslim religious trust in conjunction with the Jerusalem Police, has long been a contentious issue among Jews and Arabs.

However, the confluence of Ramadan and Tisha Be’av only inflamed the situation as thousands of Arabs were granted entry to pray at the nearby Dome of the Rock.

Following the incident, a barrage of condemnations by a number of senior government officials – as well as a law suit filed by an NGO – were swiftly issued regarding the police decision.

Bayit Yehudi MK Shuli Muallem, who was with Deputy Foreign Minister Ze’ev Elkin (Likud Beytenu) when the incident occurred, used her Facebook page to protest the decision and called for an immediate Knesset inquiry over the rights of Jews to enter the contested site.

“On this day, the pilgrimage to the Temple Mount was doubly significant due to the connection to the Temple and the will of Jews to continue the connection between them and the holiest place from a position of building and construction, and not destruction,” she wrote. “We reached the place to spread love and to connect hearts, and unfortunately and sadly, it was decided to prevent the entire crowd to go up the mountain.”

Muallem added that she and Elkin addressed their concerns to Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein to initiate a formal discussion about the restrictive state of affairs.

“I’m hopeful that the relevant authorities will understand soon that you cannot disconnect any Jew from the Temple Mount, especially on such a special and significant day as Tisha Be’av,” she continued. “It’s incomprehensible that on a day when the government and police need to expand the pilgrimage hours to the Temple Mount – a day when the sovereignty of the State of Israel over the Temple Mount needs to be strengthened – the exact opposite was done.”

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Tuesday afternoon that the decision by police to bar Jews from entering the site was a preemptive measure enforced after a security assessment determined there was an imminent threat to their safety.

“We made security assessments in the morning in Jerusalem,” Rosenfeld explained, “and in order to prevent any incidents on the Temple Mount, the area was closed to visitors until further security assessments were made.”

Deputy Minister of Religious Services Eli Ben-Dahan (Bayit Yehudi) also took to Facebook to condemn Tuesday’s decision, and implored the government to change the policy determining when Jews can enter the site.

“How, in the State of Israel, which represents the principles of equality and freedom of religion, can Jews be forbidden from entering the Temple Mount – the holiest place – for fear of rioting by Muslims?” he wrote. “It’s time to change this reality. Stop using various pretexts of security and the inability of the police to protect Jewish citizens.”

Dahan, who conceded that the Temple Mount presented a “complex” situation, added that he would endeavor to change the current regulations, no matter how problematic.

“There will be many difficulties, but eternity is not afraid of a long path,” he wrote. “A situation where equality and freedom of religion is held only when talking about other religions – and not the Jewish majority in Israel – is absurd.”

The Joint Staff of the Temple Har Habayit, an umbrella group representing a coalition of 23 organizations, issued not only a scathing statement about the controversy, but also a lawsuit against the police department on behalf of all the people denied entry.

Chaim Richman, International Director of the Temple Insitute called the decision to prohibit Jews from entering the Temple Mount a “reward to Islamic terror.”

He was one of those turned away by police at approximately 7 a.m.

“Despite the bitter disappointment and utter disgrace of the police’s absurd decision – itself a reward to Islamic terror – to prevent Jews from ascending to the Temple Mount [on Tisha Be’av], the hundreds of Jews who arrived this morning at the entrance are testimony to the great awakening taking place within the people of Israel toward the importance of the holy site to our nation,” Elkin said in a statement shortly following the incident.

“The sight of so many Jewish men, women and children coming from all over the country at great personal cost, and converging on the holy mountain, is the clearest indication that the plight of the beleaguered Temple Mount is becoming an important aspect of the national consensus,” he added.

Joint Staff chairman Aviad Visoly, who filed the law suit, said he repeatedly had been assured by Border Police Chief Superintendent Avi Biton before Tisha Be’av that the Temple Mount would be open to Jews.

“This failure of the Israeli police is particularly acute in light of the many recent warnings we gave police commanders responsible for the Temple Mount,” Visoly wrote. “It should be noted that just yesterday we checked repeatedly with… Biton and he promised that the Temple Mount would be open to Jews on Tisha Be’av.

Due to the “pain and suffering” resulting from the forced closure, Visoly, an attorney, said he was petitioning the court to demand that every Jew denied entry be compensated NIS 5,000.

“As a result of the closure of the Temple Mount to Jews today, severe damage was caused to hundreds of Jews,” he wrote. “This includes both monetary damages (including costs of preparation, travel, loss of work days, etc.) and pain and suffering and the loss of autonomy, because they were denied entry to the holiest place on earth on the anniversary of its destruction.”

Visoly also demanded that police issue a formal response, including a detailed explanation as to why the site was restricted, to be submitted no later than July 22…described aptly within The View from Israel.

In other words, the notion that a Jewish leadership should ever restrict Jews from praying on Judaism’s Temple Mount is more than an affront. But to do so on the VERY day commemorating the destruction of the First and Second Temples, certainly raises the level of dhimmitude to a fevered pitch. Not only that, but by restricting Jewish access at any time, Israel’s so called democratic leaders are violating a myriad of laws, stipulated by Israeli law guaranteeing freedom of religion for all – “issued in 1948, describes the country as a Jewish state but clearly extends religious freedoms to all of its inhabitants by stating: the State of Israel “will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture; it will safeguard the Holy Places of all religions  cited in full hereinAdditionally, Article 18 of the International Declaration of Human Rights is one which Israel’s leaders adhere to, but not when it comes to Jews at their holiest site(s)! Imagine that.

More specifically, doesn’t the following cry out for Jewish justice, whatever it takes? Have the leaders lost all sense of Jewish pride, honor and ability to feel ashamed? Rhetorical question.

Israeli minister mobbed by Palestinians on Temple Mount

DEBKAfile July 17, 2013, 9:35 AM (GMT+02:00)

Scores of Palestinians shouting Allahu Akbar mobbed and threatened Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister Zeev Elkin when he and a party paid a visit to Temple Mt. Wednesday morning. Elkin said he had not come to pray but to commemorate a departed friend. All the same, he was forced to leave the shrine for lack of police protection. The minister accuses the police of falling down on their duty, which is to protect visitors of all faiths at the holy sites.

Audaciously, by continuously citing ‘security concerns’, the leadership not only demonstrates that the police are failing to protect its majority population’s religious rights (at the behest of political dictates), but are proving to the Arabs (and others) that threats of violence, and actual terror, is the way to go. The fruits of their ‘labors’.

NOW, wouldn’t it be prudent for Jewish nationalists to take a page out of their playbook, thereby, making some threats of their own? Teachable moments are everywhere. Just seek and you shall find.
