‘There’s a space for me out there somewhere’
Matt Dugan, the Democratic candidate running for district attorney in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County, lost his election bid despite receiving nearly $2 million of funding from megadonor George Soros, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
Dugan first challenged incumbent District Attorney Stephen Zappala in the county’s May primary election, beating Zappala by 10 points after receiving $700,000 in funding from the Soros-funded Pennsylvania Justice and Public Safety Political Action Committee (PAC), according to the Post-Gazette. The PAC donated an additional $1.1 million to Dugan’s campaign between June and October, but Zappala managed to beat the Democratic challenger by 3 points despite his major loss just months earlier.
“We connected with a lot of voters,” Dugan said on Tuesday night, according to the Post-Gazette. “We just came up a little bit short.”
“I care deeply about criminal justice, I care deeply about Allegheny County, and there’s a space for me out there somewhere,” Dugan added. “I’ll tackle that tomorrow.”
Dugan ran on a platform of criminal justice reform and advocated for policies including eliminating cash bail, prosecuting fewer “low-level offenders” and shrinking the jail population, according to his campaign website. The candidate criticized Zappala for receiving funding from a Republican billionaire and argued that the incumbent district attorney had “betrayed” the values of Pennsylvania citizens with his criminal justice approach.
“The whole system is broken,” Dugan claimed in a campaign video. “For 23 years, we’ve had a prosecutor whose calling card was that he’s tough on crime. But as chief public defender, I’ve seen the failure of that approach nearly every single day. I’ve seen kids’ lives ruined for a mistake they thought was the only way out of a bad situation, while dangerous criminals are never brought to justice.”
Zappala has served as district attorney for Allegheny County since 1998 and has advocated for more police involvement in crime-ridden areas of downtown Pittsburgh, according to the Post-Gazette. He lost the 2023 Democratic primary in May but was nominated by the Republican Party as a write-in candidate.
Buta Biberaj, the incumbent district attorney of Loudoun County in Virginia whose campaign was also backed by Soros, lost her reelection bid on Tuesday as well. More Soros-funded district attorneys across the nation have come under fire as critics have claimed that their lenient approach toward crime has made cities less safe.
Dugan’s campaign said the candidate was taking some time off to “regroup” after the election and declined to comment further on the matter. Zappala’s campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Liberal billionaire George Soros continues his push for his preferred left-wing prosecutors across the country, this time quietly racking up a guaranteed victory with $200,000 spent in Norfolk, Virginia.
Soros’s cash infusion, which has slipped under the radar, includes $157,000 from his Justice & Public Safety PAC and $41,500 from his Democracy PAC to Ramin Fatehi, a state and federal prosecutor who won a three-way Democratic primary on June 8. He is now the only candidate on the ballot for the November general election for Norfolk’s commonwealth’s attorney.
Fatehi is the latest in a string of prosecutor candidates Soros has backed to reshape the Virginia criminal justice system. In 2019, Soros provided a significant cash infusion to three winning progressive candidates, Parisa Dehghani-Tafti in Arlington County (nearly $1 million from Soros); Buta Biberaj in Loudon County ($850,000 from Soros); and Steve Descano in Fairfax County ($600,000 from Soros). Soros also pushed $5,000 to Jim Hingeley in Albemarle County. However, unlike the other areas, most of that race’s funds did not come from Soros, but rather Sonjia Smith, a Democratic megadonor in Virginia politics.
Soros views prosecutors, who decide what crimes to prosecute and let slide, as a significant component of overhauling the criminal justice system. For years he has funded far-left prosecutor candidates in multiple areas, including Larry Krasner in Philadelphia, Kim Foxx in Chicago, and Kim Gardner in St. Louis. His cash frequently boosts the furthest left candidates running in Democratic primaries.
Fatehi favors lax enforcement and views crime as a “symptom of structural racism.” According to his campaign website, Fatehi supports decriminalizing and legalizing marijuana possession, abolishing cash bail, abolishing the jury trial penalty, and making the system honor “the principle that Black Lives Matter.”
“The old-fashioned view about public safety was not taking into account externalities,” Fatehi told The Appeal. “It was focused on the idea of crime as an evil unto itself. Where I part ways is in recognizing that crime is a symptom. It’s a symptom of structural racism, of systematic community disinvestment, of redlining, unequal school policy, the lack of jobs, lack of transportation, a lack of opportunities, intergenerational barriers to wealth building, the disinvestment in the treatment of the mentally ill – all of these things are really what produced the symptoms, but then we as prosecutors are charged with essentially trying to deal with it, and then are blamed also when they perhaps increase or decrease.”
“I think where those of us who are in the progressive movement diverge, is that we recognize that these externalities exist,” Fatehi said. “It’s incredibly expensive, imprisoning people, jailing them, supervising them. We are disinvesting from our own community. We’re pulling human capital and dollars away from things like mental health treatment, drug treatment, education, housing contracts, and so on.”
Fatehi’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment on Soros’ cash. Whitney Tymas, the treasurer of Soros’s Justice & Public Safety PAC, and Michael Vachon, Soros’ spokesperson and the treasurer of his Democracy PAC, also did not respond to inquiries on Soros’ efforts.
Soros has bankrolled numerous initiatives intending to overhaul the criminal justice system. In 2020, his Open Society Foundations network pledged $70 million to local efforts for such reforms. The cash was part of a more significant $220 million push at racial equality.
Soros also funneled cash into an effort that calls for abolishing the police. In 2019, his Foundation to Promote Open Society, a nonprofit in his sprawling network, earmarked $1.5 million to the Community Resource Hub for Safety and Responsibility. The cash funded the creation of the group, which reviewed “alternatives to policing in the context of police abolitionist frameworks” in a memo to organizers.
Leonard Noisette, head of the Justice Team at Soros’s Open Society Foundations, said the network backs communities determining “what alternatives” to policing make sense for them.
“OSF supports the exploration and development of alternatives to current policing practices, and the Hub serves as a clearinghouse of ideas and resources to help advocates determine how best to improve police practices in their communities,” Noisette said. “We defer to communities regarding what alternatives make sense for them, including substantially shifting funding for the current approach to policing/law enforcement into services that address societal challenges while doing less harm.”

In our report on Never Trump State Department official George Kent, Revolver News first drew attention to the ominous similarities between the strategies and tactics the United States government employs in so-called “Color Revolutions” and the coordinated efforts of government bureaucrats, NGOs, and the media to oust President Trump.
Our recent follow-up to this initial report focused specifically on a shadowy, George Soros linked group called the Transition Integrity Project (TIP), which convened “war games” exercises suggesting the likelihood of a “contested election scenario,” and of ensuing chaos should President Trump refuse to leave office. We further showed how these “contested election” scenarios we are hearing so much about play perfectly into the Color Revolution framework sketched out Revolver News’ first installment in the Color Revolution series.
This third installment of Revolver News‘ series exposing the Color Revolution against Trump will focus on one quiet and indeed mostly overlooked participant in the Transition Integrity Project’s biased election “war games” exercise—a man by the name of Norm Eisen.
As the man who implemented the David Brock blueprint for suing the President into paralysis and his allies into bankruptcy, who helped mainstream and amplify the Russia Hoax, who drafted 10 articles of impeachment for the Democrats a full month before President Trump ever called the Ukraine President in 2018, who personally served as special counsel litigating the Ukraine impeachment, who created a template for Internet censorship of world leaders and a handbook for mass mobilizing racial justice protesters to overturn democratic election results, there is perhaps no man alive with a more decorated resume for plots against President Trump.
Indeed, the story of Norm Eisen – a key architect of nearly every attempt to delegitimize, impeach, censor, sue and remove the democratically elected 45th President of the United States – is a tale that winds through nearly every facet of the color revolution playbook. There is no purer embodiment of Revolver’s thesis that the very same regime change professionals who run Color Revolutions on behalf of the US Government in order to undermine or overthrow alleged “authoritarian” governments overseas, are running the very same playbook to overturn Trump’s 2016 victory and to pre-empt a repeat in 2020. To put it simply, what you see is not just the same Color Revolution playbook run against Trump, but the same people using it against Trump who have employed it in a professional capacity against targets overseas—same people same playbook.
In Norm Eisen’s case, the “same people same playbook” refrain takes an arrestingly literal turn when one realizes that Norm Eisen wrote a classic Color Revolution regime change manual, and conveniently titled it “The Playbook.”
Just what exactly is President Obama’s former White House Ethics Czar (yes, Norm Eisen was Obama’s ethics Czar), his longtime friend since Harvard Law School, who recently partook in war games to simulate overturning a Trump electoral victory, doing writing a detailed playbook on how to use a Color Revolution to overthrow governments? The story of Norm Eisen only gets more fascinating, outrageous, and indispensable to understanding the planned chaos unfolding before our eyes, leading up to what will perhaps be the most chaotic election in our nation’s recent history.

“I’d Rather Have This Book Than The Atomic Bomb”
Before we can fully appreciate the significance of Norm Eisen’s Color Revolution manual “The Playbook,” we must contextualize this important book in relation to its place in Color Revolution literature.
As a bit of a refresher to the reader, it is important to emphasize that when we use the term “Color Revolution” we do not mean any general type of revolution—indeed, one of the chief advantages of the Color Revolution framework we advance is that it offers a specific and concrete heuristic by which to understand the operations against Trump beyond the accurate but more vague term “coup.” Unlike the overt, blunt, method of full scale military invasion as was the case in Iraq War, a Color Revolution employs the following strategies and tactics:
A “Color Revolution” in this context refers to a specific type of coordinated attack that the United States government has been known to deploy against foreign regimes, particularly in Eastern Europe deemed to be “authoritarian” and hostile to American interests. Rather than using a direct military intervention to effect regime change as in Iraq, Color Revolutions attack a foreign regime by contesting its electoral legitimacy, organizing mass protests and acts of civil disobedience, and leveraging media contacts to ensure favorable coverage to their agenda in the Western press. This combination of tactics used in so-called Color Revolutions did not come from nowhere. Before Norm Eisen came Gene Sharp—originator and Godfather of the Color Revolution model that has been a staple of US Government operations externally (and now internally) for decades. Before Norm Eisen’s “Playbook” there was Gene Sharp’s classic “From Dictatorship to Democracy,” which might be justly described as the Bible of the Color Revolution. Such is the power of the strategies laid out by Sharp that a Lithuanian defense minister once said of Sharp’s preceding book (upon which Dictatorship to Democracy builds) that “I would rather have this book than the nuclear bomb.”
Gene Sharp
It would be impossible to do full justice to Gene Sharp within the scope of this specific article. Here are some choice excerpts about Sharp and his biography to give readers a taste of his significance and relevance to this discussion.
Gene Sharp, the “Machiavelli of nonviolence,” has been fairly described as “the most influential American political figure you’ve never heard of.”1 Sharp, who passed away in January 2018, was a beloved yet “mysterious” intellectual giant of nonviolent protest movements, the “father of the whole field of the study of strategic nonviolent action.”2 Over his career, he wrote more than twenty books about nonviolent action and social movements. His how-to pamphlet on nonviolent revolution, From Dictatorship to Democracy, has been translated into over thirty languages and is cited by protest movements around the world. In the U.S., his ideas are widely promoted through activist training programs and by scholars of nonviolence, and have been used by nearly every major protest movement in the last forty years.3 For these contributions, Sharp has been praised by progressive heavyweights like Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky, nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize four times, compared to Gandhi, and cast as a lonely prophet of peace, champion of the downtrodden, and friend of the left.4
Gene Sharp’s influence on the U.S. activist left and social movements abroad has been significant. But he is better understood as one of the most important U.S. defense intellectuals of the Cold War, an early neoliberal theorist concerned with the supposedly inherent violence of the “centralized State,” and a quiet but vital counselor to anti-communist forces in the socialist world from the 1980s onward.
In the mid-1960s, Thomas Schelling, a Nobel Prize-winning nuclear theorist, recruited 29-year-old Sharp to join the Center for International Affairs at Harvard, bastion of the high Cold War defense, intelligence, and security establishment. Leading the so-called “CIA at Harvard” were Henry Kissinger, future National Security Advisor McGeorge Bundy, and future CIA chief Robert Bowie. Sharp held this appointment for thirty years. There, with Department of Defense funds, he developed his core theory of nonviolent action: a method of warfare capable of collapsing states through theatrical social movements designed to dissolve the common will that buttresses governments, all without firing any shots. From his post at the CIA at Harvard, Sharp would urge U.S. and NATO defense leadership to use his methods against the Soviet Union. [Nonsite]
We invite the reader to reflect on the passages in bold, particularly their potential relevance to the current domestic situation in the United States. Sharp’s book and strategy for “non violent revolution” AKA “peaceful protests” has been used to undermine or overthrow target governments all over the world, particularly in Eastern Europe.
Gene’s color revolution playbook was of course especially effective in Eastern Bloc countries in Eastern Europe:
Finally, there is no shortage of analysis as to the applicability of Sharp’s methods domestically within the USA in order to advance various left wing causes. This passage specifically mentions the applicability of Sharp’s methods to counter act Trump.
Ominous stuff indeed. For readers who wish to read further, please consult the full Politico piece from which we have excerpted the above highlighted passages. There is also a fascinating documentary on Sharp instructively titled “How to Start a Revolution.”
This is all interesting and disturbing, to say the least. In its own right it would suggest a compelling nexus point between the operations run against Trump and the Color Revolution playbook. But what does this have to do with our subject Norm Eisen? It just so happens that Eisen explicitly places himself in the tradition of Gene Sharp, acknowledging his book “The Playbook” as a kind of update to Sharp’s seminal “Dictatorship to Democracy.”
And there we have it, folks—Norm Eisen, former Obama Ethics Czar, Ambassador to Czechoslovakia during the “Velvet Revolution,” key counsel in impeachment effort against Trump, and participant in the ostensibly bi-partisan election war games predicting a contested election scenario unfavorable to Trump—just happens to be a Color Revolution expert who literally wrote the modern “Playbook” in the explicitly acknowledged tradition of Color Revolution Godfather Gene Sharp’s “From Dictatorship to Democracy.”
Before we turn to the contents of Norm Eisen’s Color Revolution manual, full title “The Democracy Playbook: Preventing and Reversing Democratic Backsliding,” it will be useful to make a brief point regarding the term “democracy” itself, which happens to appear in the title of Gene Sharp’s book “From Dictatorship to Democracy” as well.
Just like the term “peaceful protestor,” which, as we pointed out in our George Kent essay is used as a term of craft in the Color Revolution context, so is the term “democracy” itself. The US Government launches Color Revolutions against foreign targets irrespective of whether they actually enjoy the support of the people or were elected democratically. In the case of Trump, whatever one says about him, he is perhaps the most “democratically” elected President in America’s history. Indeed, in 2016 Trump ran against the coordinated opposition of the establishments of both parties, the military industrial complex, the corporate media, Hollywood, and really every single powerful institution in the country. He won, however, because he was able to garner sufficient support of the people—his true and decisive power base as a “populist.” Precisely because of the ultra democratic “populist” character of Trump’s victory, the operativesattempting to undermine him have focused specifically on attacking the democratic legitimacy of his victory.
In this vein we ought to note that the term “democratic backsliding,” as seen in the subtitle of Norm Eisen’s book, and its opposite “democratic breakthrough” are also terms of art in the Color Revolution lexicon. We leave the full exploration of how the term “democratic” is used deceptively in the Color Revolution context (and in names of decidedly anti-democratic/populist institutions) as an exercise to the interested reader. Michael McFaul, another Color Revolution expert and key anti-Trump operative somewhat gives the game away in the following tweet in which the term “democratic breakthrough” makes an appearance as a better sounding alternative to “Color Revolution:”
Most likely as a response to Revolver News’ first Color Revolution article on State Department official George Kent, former Ambassador McFaul issued the following tweet as a matter of damage control:
Autocrats have demonized the phrase, "color revolutions." (& revolution generally has a negative connotation for many.) Instead, I use the term "democratic breakthroughs."
Being a rather simple man from a simple background, McFaul perhaps gave too much of this answer away in the following explanation (now deleted).
With this now-deleted tweet we get a clearer picture of the power bases that must be satisfied for a “democratic breakthrough” to occur—and conveniently enough, not one of them is subject to direct democratic control. McFaul, Like Eisen, George Kent, and so many others, perfectly embodies Revolver’s thesis regarding the Color Revolution being the same people running the same playbook. Indeed, like most of the star never-Trump impeachment witnesses, McFaul is or has been an ambassador to an Eastern European country. He has supported operations against Trump, including impeachment. And, like Norm Eisen, he has actually written a book on Color Revolutions (more on that later).
Norm Eisen’s The Democracy Playbook: A Brief Overview:
A deep dive into Eisen’s book would exceed the scope of this relatively brief exposé. It is nonetheless important for us to draw attention to key passages of Eisen’s book to underscore how closely the “Playbook” corresponds to events unfolding right here at home. Indeed, it would not be an exaggeration to say that regime change professionals such as Eisen simply decided to run the same playbook against Trump that they have done countless times when foreign leaders are elected overseas that they don’t like and want to remove via extra-democratic means—“peaceful protests,” “democratic breakthroughs” and such.
First, consider the following passage from Eisen’s Playbook:
If you study this passage closely, you will find direct confirmation of our earlier point that “democracy” in the Color Revolution context is a term of art—it refers to anything they like that keeps the national security bureaucrats in power. Anything they don’t like, even if elected democratically, is considered “anti-democratic,” or, put another way, “democratic backsliding.” Eisen even acknowledges that this scourge of populism he’s so worried about actually was ushered in with “popular support,” under “relatively democratic and electoral processes.” The problem is precisely that the people have had enough of the corrupt ruling class ignoring their needs. Accordingly, the people voted first for Brexit and then for Donald Trump—terrifying expressions of populism which the broader Western power structure did everything in its capacity to prevent. Once they failed, they viewed these twin populist victories as a kind of political 9/11 to be prevented by any means necessary from recurring. Make no mistake, the Color Revolution has nothing to do with democracy in any meaningful sense and everything to do with the ruling class ensuring that the people will never have the power to meddle in their own elections again.
The passage above can be insightfully compared to the passage in Gene Sharp’s book noting ripe applications to the domestic situation.
It is instructive to compare the passage in Eisen’s Color Revolution book to the passage in Michael McFaul’s Color Revolution book
First off, it is absolutely imperative to look at every single one of the conditions for a Color Revolution that McFaul identifies. It is simply impossible not to be overcome with the ominous parallels to our current situation. Specifically, however, note condition 1 which refers to having a target leader who is not fully authoritarian, but semi-autocratic. This coincides perfectly well with Eisen’s concession that the populist leaders he’s so concerned about might be “illiberal” but enjoy “popular support” and have come to power via “relatively democratic electoral processes.”
Consulting the above passage from McFaul’s book, we note that McFaul has been perhaps the most explicit about the conditions which facilitate a Color Revolution. We invite the reader to supply the contemporary analogue to each point as a kind of exercise.
A semi-autocratic regime rather than fully autocratic
An unpopular incumbent (note blanket negative coverage of Trump, fake polls)
A united and organized opposition (media, intel community, Hollywood, community groups, etc)
Enough independent media to inform citizens of falsified vote (see full court press in media pushing contested election narrative, social media censorship)
A political opposition capable of mobilizing tens of thousands or more demonstrators to protest electoral fraud (SEE BLACK LIVES MATTER AND ANTIFA)
On point number four, which is especially relevant to our present situation, Eisen has an interesting thing to say about the role of a contested election scenario in the Orange Revolution, arguably the most important Color Revolution of them all.
Finally, let’s look at one last passage from Norm Eisen’s Color Revolution “Democracy Playbook” and cross-reference it with McFaul’s conditions for a Color Revolution as well as the situation playing out right now before our very eyes:
A few things immediately jump out at us. First, the ominous instruction: “prepare to use electoral abuse evidence as the basis for reform advocacy.” Secondly, we note the passage suggesting that opposition to a target leader might avail itself of “extreme institutional measures” including impeachment processes, votes of no confidence, and, of course, the good old-fashioned “protests, strikes, and boycotts” (all more or less peaceful no doubt).
By now the Color Revolution agenda against Trump should be as plain as day. Regime change professionals like McFaul, Eisen, George Kent, and others, who have refined their craft conducting color revolutions overseas, have taken it upon themselves to use the same tools, the same tactics—quite literally, the same playbook—to overthrow President Trump. Yet again, same people, same playbook.

The Ghost of Democracy’s Future
We mentioned at the outset of this piece that Norm Eisen is many things—a former Obama Ethics Czar (but of course), Ambassador to Czechoslovakia, participant in the now notorious Transition Integrity Project, et cetera. But he earned his title as “legal hatchet man” of the Color Revolution for his tireless efforts in promoting the impeachment of President Trump.
The litany of Norm Eisen’s legal activity cited at the beginning of this piece bears repeating.
As the man who implemented the David Brock blueprint for suing the President into paralysis and his allies into bankruptcy, who helped mainstream and amplify the Russia Hoax, who drafted 10 articles of impeachment for the Democrats a full month before President Trump ever called the Ukraine President in 2018, who personally served as DNC co-counsel for litigating the Ukraine impeachment…
If that resume doesn’t warrant the title “legal hatchet man” we wonder what does? We encourage interested readers or journalists to explore those links for themselves. By way of conclusion, it simply suffices to note that much of Eisen’s impeachment activity he conducted before there was any discussion or knowledge of President Trump’s call to the Ukrainian President in 2018—indeed before the call even happened. Impeachment was very clearly a foregone conclusion—a quite literal part of Norm Eisen’s Color Revolution playbook—and it was up to people like Eisen to find the pretext, any pretext.
Despite their constant invocation of “democracy” we ought to note that transferring the question of electoral outcomes to adversarial legal processes is in fact anti-Democratic—in keeping with our observation that the Color Revolution playbook uses “democracy” as a term of art, often meaning the precise opposite of the usual meaning suggesting popular support.
Perhaps the most important entry in Eisen’s entry is the first, that is, Eisen’s participation in the infamous David Brock blueprint on how to undermine and overthrow the Trump presidency.
The Washington Free Beacon attended the retreat and obtained David Brock’s private and confidential memorandum from the meeting. The memo, “Democracy Matters: Strategic Plan for Action,” outlines Brock’s four-year agenda to attack Trump and Republicans using Media Matters, American Bridge, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), and Shareblue.
This leaked memo was written before President Trump took office, further suggesting that all of the efforts to undermine Trump have not been good faith responses to his behavior, but a pre-ordained attack strategy designed to overturn the 2016 election by any means necessary. The Color Revolution expert who suggests impeachment as a tactic in his Color Revolution “playbook” was already in charge of impeachment before Trump even took office—-Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) is run by none other than Norm Eisen.
But the attempt to overturn the 2016 election using Color Revolution tactics failed. And so now the plan is to overthrow Trump in 2020, hence Norm Eisen’s noted participation in the Transition Integrity Project. Looking around us, one is forced to ask the deeply uncomfortable question, “transition into what?”
To conclude, we would like to call back to a point we raised in the first piece in our color revolution series. In this piece, we noted that star Never Trump impeachment witness George Kent just happens to be running the Belarus desk at the State Department. Belarus, we argued, with its mass demonstrations egged on by US Government backed NGOS, its supposed “peaceful protests” and of course its contested election results all fit the Color Revolution mold curiously enough.
One NGO called the Transatlantic Democracy Working Group (TDWG) was bold or reckless enough to draw the parallels between the Color Revolution in Belarus and the events playing out against Trump explicitly. In response to a remark by a twitter user that the TDWG’s remarks about Belarus suggested parallels to the United States, the TDWG ominously replied:

Soros-funded Marxist program marches forward, new city attorney funded by Soros
A radical new budget proposal by the Austin, Texas, City Council calls for a controlled demolition of the police department’s current headquarters in a symbolic gesture towards Black Lives Matter and defund police protesters.
“We should expedite the demolition of the APD Headquarters by directing the City Manager to move all remaining APD staff out of the existing headquarters building and into other underutilized city facilities,” reads the proposal submitted Monday by Council Member Jimmy Flannigan.
The existing APD property, prime real estate situated in the heart of Austin, would then be used to highlight black inequity and support the black community, the proposal states.
“That property… should be dedicated to addressing historic economic inequities in the black community and supporting future black community economic success,” states Flannigan’s proposal. “A community-led effort should be initiated to determine the specifics on how such a valuable property could be leveraged, and possibly serve as a gateway to East Austin.”
According to the proposal, the demolition would be accompanied by a restructuring which would turn over control of patrol and all other divisions to civilians chosen by the mayor and city council.
“This could shift more than $90 million from under the control of sworn leadership to civilian leadership and allow for each department to have separate metrics and oversight, thereby creating a way to shift organizational culture and drive outcomes,” reads Flannigan’s proposal essentially defunding the police.
One issue being highlighted by Austin residents is that the new proposal would also turn the Austin bomb squad, which was instrumental in taking down a serial bomber in 2018, into a citizen-run department.
The proposal follows the election of a new Travis County District Attorney whose campaign was largely funded by the Texas Justice & Public Safety PAC, a political action committee that was funneled over $650,000 by billionaire globalist George Soros.
This also follows a pattern by the left to dismantle police nationwide, as exemplified in other leftist cities such as Minneapolis and Seattle where city councils have caved to Black Lives Matter and “defund the police” protests.

ALMOST seven years ago, this investigative journalist received an urgent shout-out to write the first book review for the reintroduction of BRINGING DOWN AMERICA: An FBI Informant with the Weathermen (by Larry Grathwohl and Frank Reagan, originally published in 1976). Upon reading the manuscript, the following was written and featured at American Thinker:
During a dangerously volatile period of domestic terrorism, young anarchists were plotting the upending of America. In the vanguard stood the Weather Underground and the Black Panthers. Implanted in 1969 in the heart of a revolutionary movement, Larry Grathwohl, a 22-year-old Vietnam vet, found himself acting as an FBI informant. Inserted into the Weather Underground organization under deep cover, he became privy to their terror plots as well as the leadership’s “reasoning”. It is this facet which still resonates today. BRINGING DOWN AMERICA is a gripping tale of plots and subplots, each one aimed at “the violent overthrow of the bourgeoisie [and] the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat”, as Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, and Jeff Jones exhorted in their 1974 manifesto, “Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism.” The subtext of thisgripping memoir is brought to the fore in Chapter 14: “The Cover Is Blown:”
Once in the van we drove around the city… while we were driving Maynard & Green (my FBI handlers) began telling me about the mystery man waiting for me. He was an Arab guerrilla. Bill Ayers, the foremost leader of the Weathermen “is in his third decade as a national leader in the movement to radicalize the educational training of schoolteachers”. His wife, Bernardine Dohrn, a top leader too “is a professor of law atNorthwestern and a high-ranking officer in the American Bar Association.” Eleanor Raskin (ne Stein) “is a law professor at S.U.N.Y Albany and, astonishingly, a NYS administrative law judge”. Jeff Jones “currently heads the New York-based Apollo Alliance, a highly influential coalition of labor leaders and environmentalists, and was responsible for drafting President Obama’s 2009 Recovery Act.”
The list of “respectable” cover, of other “notables” in the Weathermen, is equally impressive. Through a stringently planned operational “stealth jihad“, yesteryear’s Weathermen have returned, fully primed to carry out their original goal — the “transformation” of Amerika. Most significantly, they subvert the national interest from a distinctly dangerous vantage point. They are currently ensconced in some of the most powerful positions in academia and political life. The only difference is, this time they are dressed in “capitalist” garb, not only in their clothing choices, but in the wealth they have accumulated, paradoxically, through joining the “establishment”. Who said one can’t enrich oneself, but at the same time deny the masses/proletariat said wealthpotential? Highly dangerous in their bomb-making days, their capacity to cripple America, sans firing actual weaponry is that much greater at this critical juncture in time. Deeply involved in the “transformation” process, as promised by President Obama, many of them working inside the executive branch, while others operate through progressive think tanks, they want nothing more than to distance themselves from their bloody past. Therefore, an omerta has descended from the denizens of the leftist media and their powerful organs.
So the timing of this book release couldn’t be more prescient. Although the mainstream media will surely attempt to shield the aforementioned from the facts borne out by the record, they are nothing more than “koshered” domestic terrorists.
Many westerners believe that history is behind them and therefore has no relevance to their lives. Nothing could be further removed from reality, or more deadly. In this regard, stepping back in time to the late 1960’s and into the 1970’s couldn’t be more imperative or instructive.
AS it happened, this writer’s body of work, in relation to the red-green axis (an amalgamation of socialists/Marxists/communists, in concert with like-minded revolutionary Islamists), caught their attention.
YES, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. To wit, the red-green axis is a “natural” alliance; in sync bedfellows, albeit, temporary in nature.
AND though revolutionary-leaning DA’s (and other so-called legal appointments) are ensconced in various Demster-controlled cities – due to “dark money” pumped through a network of Soros’ front-groups – the appointment of San Fran’s DA Chesa Boudin is the most frightening, even by the radical standards of a city which has reached the depths of hell.
OMINOUSLY, the appointment of Boudin (spawn of not one, but two domestic terrorists ala the hierarchy of the blood-soaked Weathermen) to the top post in San Fran’s legal system bespeaks of a danger to the nation, like few others. Guaranteed. Again, it never could have happened without MEGA political and financial muscle, the likes of which has yet to bear fruit, so to speak.
The San Francisco Chroniclereported the firings, which were the most dramatic since a new DA fired 10% of the staff in 1995:
Some firings, the Chronicle noted, were not quite a surprise, as Boudin had run specificallyagainst adding “gang enhancements” to prosecutions, arguing that such prosecutions were aimed disproportionately at minority defendants.
But others were a surprise. The Chronicle cited sources who said the effect on morale among the 135 prosecutors was “devastating.”
Boudin is the son of two Weather Underground radicals who were getaway drivers in a 1981 armored car heist that led to the deaths of two police officers and a guard, the UK Guardianrecalled.
Though Boudin promised to stop violent crime in the city, he also campaigned againstprosecuting what he called “quality-of-life” crimes in San Francisco, such as public urination, and said he would “decriminalize” homelessness.
Boudin has responded to public criticism of the firings,telling NBC Bay Area: “”It should not come as a surprise to anybody that a newly-elected official would want to make staff changes.”
However, critics contend that some of the prosecutors he fired would have followed his orders regardless of their past records.
One of the fired attorneys reiterated to Bay Area public radio station KQED: “I think the impact on morale is going to be devastating.”
DEAR reader, this is where Boudin’s worldview comes from….the apple doesn’t fall far from the (terror) tree. Overwhelmingly, “prison reform” is merely the tip of his “transformation” agenda!
In 1981, when Chesa Boudin was 14 months old, his parents — members of the radical and violent Weather Underground — left him with a babysitter so they could take part in an armored car robbery. It became one of New York’s most notorious botched heists, a crime that left two police officers and a Brink’s truck guard dead in a New York suburb.
Like his peers on the left, Boudin ran on a platform of ending “mass incarceration,” eliminating cash bail, creating a unit to review wrongful convictions and refusing to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, as well as prosecuting ICE agents who violate so-called sanctuary city laws. He also wants to move the district attorney’s office away from prosecuting prostitution and minor quality-of-life crimes to focus, instead, on taking on corporations and prioritizing the most serious offenses.
Boudin, 39, spent decades visiting his parents in prison and, as a result, learned the ins and outs of the criminal justice system from a unique vantage point. Boudin’s parents were getaway drivers in the attempted Brink’s robbery in 1981 in Nanuet, New York, about 35 miles north of New York City. His mother, Kathy Boudin, pleaded guilty to murder and robbery and was imprisoned for more than two decades. His father, David Gilbert, is still behind bars after he was convicted of murder and robbery.
IN no uncertain terms, if a mirror-like exhibit is required as per the proof of what awaits, that is, when a revolutionary takes over a city’s helm, look no further than to Marxist/Commie-driven Mayor of NYC, Bill de Blasio – as he lets loose criminalsto prey upon an unsuspecting public, instead of ensuring their safety, as sworn to execute. “What motivation does this suspect have to return to court? None,” Shea tweeted.
INCONTESTABLY, sans proper law enforcement, the ability to provide law and order is dead on arrival. DOA. Once said breakdown occurs, each and every state, city, and small town throughout the nation will become “transformed.” Effectively, the disintegration of city by city – by the likes of Boudin – occurs piece by piece, stealth by stealth, that is, until the nation becomes akin to a third world hell-hole! NOW that that is settled, die-hard leftists truly cannot differentiate between the Constitutionally protected and democratic principle of free speech – yes, even “offensive” speech – as the main pillar, an inherent hallmark, to a healthy and functioning democracy. In effect, leftists feel entitled, duty bound, to rampage across America. They utterly refuse to accept defeat through the democratic process. Russia has officially declared that Billionaire George Soros is a wanted man in their country, citing him and his organizations as a “threat to Russian national security”.
Putin banned Soros from Russia last year due to the fact that Soros helped to nearly destroy the Russian economy in the early 1990’s.
Matt Taibbi of the Rolling Stone said of Goldman Sachs six years ago:
“The first thing you need to know about Goldman Sachs is that it’s everywhere. The world’s most powerful investment bank is a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money.
“In fact, the history of the recent financial crisis, which doubles as a history of the rapid decline and fall of the suddenly swindled dry American empire, reads like a Who’s Who of Goldman Sachs graduates.”
Obviously Soros wants to be like Goldman Sachs. Phil Butler puts it well when he says: “George Soros has a finger in every political pie there is. If there is a crisis on our world, it’s a safe bet he’s had a hand in it.”
One can say that Soros and Goldman Sachs are ideologically part of the same brotherhood. Their strategy is a little different, but the end result is the destruction of lives via the economic system (be it capitalism or socialism) and political manipulation.
That’s why Soros seems to think that he is invincible. He thinks he can move the political and economic planet in a few blinks of an eye and no one can tell him to stop. In fact, he writes books such as The Alchemy of Finance. Soros thinks he can kill political stability throughout Europe and indeed in America with no challenge.
Soros is certainly old, but he doesn’t want to be obsolete. His organization has recently been caught conducting covert operations designed to destabilize Russia. Here is an interesting quote from the leaked files of Soros’ Open Society Foundation:
“Our inclination is to engage in activities and with actors that will understand and counter Russian support to movements defending traditional values…Naming and shaming from us is problematic: we are also in the business of channeling money into other countries for political purposes.”
MIND you, it isn’t often the case that the advice within is to follow Putin’s lead. Nevertheless, this is a clear-cut exception. No ifs, ands, or buts. Time is of the essence.
According to a first responder, his ambulance was was delayed for 45 minutes due to Anti-Trump protesters blocking the road. He wrote the following on his Facebook:
SUCH is the case with the most venal and dangerous man in America (for heavens sake, it is not as if there is a short list), one whose mission is to utterly, completely, destroy America. By Section 110 of Article III. of the Constitution of the United States, it is declared that:
“Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open Court. The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason.”
In 1790, the Congress of the United States enacted that:
“If any person or persons, owing allegiance to the United States of America, shall levy war against them, or shall adhere to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States, or elsewhere, and shall be thereof convicted on confession in open Court, or on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act of the treason whereof he or they shall stand indicted, such person or persons shall be adjudged guilty of treason against the United States, and SHALL SUFFER DEATH….
TO wit, President-elect Trump must urgently put forth to Congress a charge-sheet for treason against George Soros (with others to follow…faster….faster), one which should have two options:
DOOR ONE: a trial within the U.S., and with all due deliberation and adherence to Section 110 of Article III.
DOOR TWO: forthwith, he must be handed over to Russia, and dealt with however Putin sees fit.
LET’s not pussyfoot around, after all, it is do or die. Besides, one needn’t guess which Door this investigative journalist prefers.
WITHOUT going into lengthy detail about the intersecting string-pullers and motives behind the upending of Europe, suffice it to state that there are several cooperating Wizards of OZ fueling its upending.

IN the main, it is always mandatory to go from Point A to Point B and so on, whenever one is attempting to weave a geo-political picture. Not only that, previously, whenever the New World Order(see video) was mentioned, many rolled their eyes and dismissed it as “conspiracy-talk.” No longer. Suddenly, disbelievers have become believers. Oh, dear…the fog has lifted and the veil pierced. Yes, the times they are a changin’. Well, better late than never.
SANS a scintilla of a doubt – and over the past few decades – a growing number have become increasingly leery by the influx of Islam’s followers into Europe – drip by drip…step by step…encroachment by encroachment…you see where this is going. But a tipping point had to take place, before any meaningful and forceful counter measures took hold.
CONSEQUENTIALLY, a burgeoning resistance to the takeover of Europe by Islam’s barbarians is now visible for all to witness, even the naysayers. Indeed, the heretofore unimaginable MEGA protests swathing across Europe – against the potential loss of this and that nation state – couldn’t be any starker.
NOW, Euro’s bastard and bought and paid for western leadership (sans a few exceptions, and with Geert Wilders in the forefront, a patriot extraordinaire…western history, if not re-written via historicism, will deem him its “savior” of sorts) have long sold out to its Arab masters (this is where Eurabia factors in) via the UN Kleptocracy and leftist US counterparts, in anticipation of the aforementioned New World Order.
CONCLUSIVELY, every politically aware US patriot should be hyper-vigilant at home, but with eyes peeled toward Europe. In other words, although US patriots are a breed unto themselves, it is always prudent to learn from others. So if any lessons are to be learned, this site recommends upping the protest level, and with an exponential uptick in numbers from past (mostly meager, sorry for said truth-telling) protests.
INTRINSICALLY, state by state, city by city, and town by town, patriots should have solid (with adaptations for fluidity) plans on tap. Of course, the exact game plan should be left to those who are proven leaders in the area of “resistance” efforts. Most resolutely, this must take place BEFORE hundreds of thousands of Islamic “refugees” descend en mass via HUSSEIN Obama’s “refugee resettlement.” Effectively, the barn door must still be closed and the horses still inside, as opposed to trying to close the stable door after the horses have bolted. Makes sense?
MOST significantly, there is NO getting around this fact: It is no longer tenable to pretend that one is against Islamic immigration and not against Islam itself. It is intellectually (and morally) disingenuous to separate the two. For if moon god Allah’s followers (with many helping hands via Obama Inc.) were not bent on upending America F/B/O Shariah Law, well, this issue would be moot.
ALAS, let us all proclaim together: Islam is a cancerous scourge and that is that. It has NO place in the US and the west. Period.
OH, almost forgot, and from one patriot to another: Trust in G-d and keep your powder dry! The two are not mutually exclusive. They are inseparable.
