WITH Israel fighting an existential war on multiple fronts, it is often forgotten that there are unsung heroes.

AS per today’s spotlights: tragically deceased, these 2 heroes barely tolerated political power-brokers – with the understanding that countless heretoforore “top-dogs” within the IDF’s fighting forces created (and still do!) disaster after disaster, that is, when they gained political power. In a nutshell, they are allergic to VICTORY (see x.com below). INDEED, such is the case since the re-establishment of the Jewish Homeland, in 1948. In this sense, yes, as intoned “There is nothing new under the sun“, Ecclesiastes/Kohelet 1:9.

REGARDLESS, one such “hero among heroes” jumps to the forefront, and he must never be forgotten. Tsafrir Ronen, z”l, operated “behind enemy lines”, therefore, most of his missions remain classified. However, as this writer’s best friend (having met in NYC, while he was “working”, close to a decade before immigrating to Israel), his untimely death shocked to the core; cut deep into the recesses of this soul. I received very sad news today that my friend, retired NYPD Detective First Grade, Mordecai Dzikansky has died suddenly of a heart attack. Morty was my friend, my colleague, my hero and a damn good cop.

Morty served in the NYPD for twenty-five years and he was a Hero, an NYPD Detective First Grade, a Husband, a Father, an Author, a Teacher, a Cop’s cop and my Friend.

He is survived by his wife Meryl and their three children Zachary, Jake, Talia

We were supposed to be teaching together at the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) conference this week but other priorities had pulled both of us apart and in different directions, so that neither of us were able to attend the conference.

He was together with his family celebrating the sacred Jewish holiday of Purim when he died.

He was the author of two books: The well known… Terrorist Cop: The NYPD Jewish Cop Who Traveled the World to Stop Terrorists, 2010 and his textbook on terrorism investigations Terrorist Suicide Bombings: Attack Interdiction, Mitigation, and Response by Mordecai Dzikansky, Gil Kleiman, et al. 2011

He worked with us at The Law Enforcement Survival Institute and was very active in trying to help other law enforcement professionals avoid, or mitigate, the traumas and hidden dangers of our profession. He suffered from many of these himself.

As a NYPD Manhattan South Homicide Detective on September 11, 2001, when terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center in New York City, Morty’s team of detectives were immediately dispatched to what would eventually be called Ground Zero to begin investigations.

Also at the time his wife, Meryl, worked in the 3 World Financial Center connected to the North Tower (the second to be hit by a plane) of the World Trade Center. She was just able to escape before the North Tower fell.

“Plunging Into My Own Hell”
I will never forget Morty’s words from the Foreword of his book Terrorist Cop “I had accomplished so much. Everyone said so. It was an easy leap me to read the newspaper articles about my exploits and then to imagine who would be playing me in the film. And yet, the warning signs that I was plunging into my own hell were all too apparent. There was a doctor whom I visited, who suggested in all seriousness that if I did not quit my assignment, I would soon be dead.”

Later in the Foreword, he writes: “I suppose I was burned out from the job. But, in fact, I was obsessed with my work, so obsessed that as my workload diminished, I grew even more obsessed and I entered my own isolated world; My relationships with my wife and children suffered; with time on my hands for the first time in years. I poured all my anxiety into eating and put on far too many pounds”. I was not suffering the kind of mental collapse that carried a stigma. My ailment was post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD. Somehow, the emotions that I was experiencing were easier to absorb now that I knew my situation had a rational explanation. It was all so ironic. My job was to be the voice of authority; my tasks were to make sure that the awful scenes that I witnessed would never happen again. I suffered pain from our up-close encounters with the victims. And yet here I was, a victim too”.

So, how did he get there?

Mordecai Dzikansky entered the NYPD Police Academy in January of 1983 and graduated in June of that year. Coming from a family of Orthodox Jews, Morty normally wore a yarmulke but didn’t want to stand out during his time in the Academy. Once he received his first assignment he started to wear it and became one of only three Orthodox Jews in the 40,000 person New York Police Department.

He started his police career in Brooklyn as part the Neighborhood Stabilization Unit 12 (NSU12) in Crown Heights. From the beginning he was destined to be in the limelight. A photo of him wrestling with the suspect of his very first arrest made the front page of the New York Daily News. They also misspelled his name.

Soon, he received his first permanent assignment in the 79th Precinct in the Bedford-Stuyvesant district. During the 1980’s had a high rate of daily shootings and murders. In March 1986 he was transferred to the Narcotics Division and stopped wearing his yarmulke while he was undercover. In 1988 he was transferred to midtown Manhattan to become the first NYPD Orthodox Jewish detective, and in October of 1988 he was transferred from Bedford-Stuyvesant to the Detective Squad in the Midtown North precinct as a robbery detective. In April of 1989 he was promoted to Detective Third Grade and stayed in Midtown North for the next ten years.

Morty knew he stood out. Many of the NYPD brass referred to him as their “Jewish Detective”, not only because he wore a yarmulke but also because in the 1980’s he became the Hebrew-Language translator for the NYPD. The moniker didn’t bother Morty because he know that he wanted to move up within the NYPD and suspected that standing out in that way could help him. He was right, because in November 1990, as a junior robbery detective, he became involved in the high-profile homicide investigation into the murder of Rabbi Meir Kahane a very controversial Jewish figure in New York at that time. After arriving at the crime scene Morty told his superiors that he believed the murder had all the earmarks of an Islamic hit. As Morty had suspected the investigation later revealed that the murder of Rabbi Kahane proved to be an assassination having to do with his extremist anti-Arab views and the Egyptian militant charged with Kahane’s murder had ties to a world-wide terrorist network. The case was marred by many, many problems that eventually revealed that the NYPD needed to improve its ability to understand and respond to international terrorism. This would change in 2002 with Ray Kelly taking charge as NYPD Police Commissioner.

Morty had a strong affection for the State of Israel. He had visited there many times and wanted to retire there. Global forces were also at play in Morty’s life, and on January 17, 1991 as the First Gulf War broke out, Iraq fired missiles into Israel. In February 1991 Morty, took a month-long vacation and joined the Israeli Defence Forces Sar-El program as an international volunteer helping at an Army base near Beersheba Israel.

Back in New York, in May of 1991, Morty met his future bride Meryl Markowitz at a Jewish event and the were married in September of 1992.

Over the years Morty’s exploits had continued to find their way into the newspapers and he was developing a reputation. Then in the fall of 1992, he was thrust into the spotlight again when he became the lead investigator in a very high-profile task-force investigation into a series of fifteen thefts of sacred Jewish Torahs from Jewish synagogues around the city. The Torah, the holiest object in Judaism, is regarded as reveling the word of God; it contains the five Books of Moses, and the thefts created a massive stir within the Jewish community. NYPD once again turned to its “Jewish detective” for help. The Torah is sacred. A Torah, if too old or torn, receives a proper burial with accompanying prayers. It is the only religious object in Judaism that requires that the congregation stand when its ark is opened, or it is held.

The case proved to be particularly difficult to solve. One of the fifteen stolen Torah’s was recovered in 1993, and two young men were arrested in Brooklyn, but it was not until a break came in 1996 when Morty and his team were able to make two arrests of the person who had stolen the other fourteen Torahs and his fence trying to sell them.

Morty was involved in many other high-profile and important cases but his life would change forever after September 11, 2001. Between January and June of 2002 40 suicide bombings had occurred in Israel. In June of 2002 Morty was selected into the NYPD’s newly revamped Intelligence Bureau. The police department was establishing overseas postings for NYPD officers in order to provide on-the-spot intelligence of foreign terror attacks, and to learn as much about the methods of radical Islamic terrorists.

From January of 2003 until September of 2007, Morty was in Israel as the first NYPD Intelligence Division Overseas Liaison to the Israel National Police. His intelligence gathering and immediate relay of key information back to NYC enhanced the Department’s ability to recognize, react to, and prevent or recover from terrorist acts. During that time he responded in person to and analyzed 21 bombing scenes in Israel and several attacks globally, including events in Turkey, Russia, Spain and Egypt. He worked with senior members of the Israeli intelligence community on joint investigations which connected New York City and the State of Israel.

Despite all of the excitement and many accolades of his long career, eventually the toll of the trauma and cost of seeing so much tragedy began to take effect on Morty. His blood pressure was sky high. He knew that he was suffering the effects of PTSD from all that he had seen throughout his career, but he felt he could fix it himself. “We’ve all seen shit” he said, knowing that all cops have witnessed more horrors than the average citizen can imagine, but like all cops, he felt he could handle it.

In January of 2008, after 25 years with the NYPD, Morty turned down Commissioner Kellys offer to stay on in another foreign assignment, decided to retire to take care of his health and spend more time with his wife and kids.

Following his retirement he published two books: Terrorist Cop: The NYPD Jewish Cop Who Traveled the World to Stop Terrorists in 2010 and his textbook on terrorism investigations Terrorist Suicide Bombings: Attack Interdiction, Mitigation, and Response by Mordecai Dzikansky, Gil Kleiman, et al. in 2011.

He worked the lecture circuit and consulted with law enforcement and academics on global security and policing topics using his expertise to provide first-hand analysis of current terror trends, lessons learned, and worldwide application to prevent and respond to terrorism.

He spent time working on his health and fitness and I convinced him to talk to other cops about working through the hidden dangers and physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual impacts that a career in police work can layer upon your life. As I said, we were both going to be speaking this week to an international audience of law enforcement leaders and trainers. We didn’t make it. Each of our lives pulled us in other directions and both of us had to cancel for different reasons.

Now I will never see my friend again. At sixty he was too young to die! All the law enforcement research I read tells us that our career has risks far different from, and sometimes far above, most other careers.

AND YET WE STILL DON’T LISTEN!

Cardiologist Jonathan Sheinberg, MD, FACC who is also a Police Lieutenant does research on early cardiac death of law enforcement officers and he reports “We’ve collected data on over 2,000 police officers and what we found is 2,000 officers have an increased risk of heart disease compared to the civilian population,” Sheinberg said. “Now, we’ve known for years that officers die at an earlier age. The average life expectancy of a police officer is 22 years less than the general population.” and “He says police officers are 25 times more likely to die from cardiovascular disease than from the action of a suspect 1.”

Dr. Sheinberg is a founder, President and CEO, of the Public Safety Cardiac Foundation. Besides medicine, Dr. Sheinberg’s passion is Law Enforcement. He is a licensed Peace Officer for the State of Texas, a Lieutenant on the Cedar Park Police Department, and a Special Deputy United States Marshal. He is the Assistant Medical Director of Williamson County EMS over tactical medicine and oversees the tactical medical support for the Central Texas Regional SWAT Team, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and the Round Rock Police Department SWAT Team.

These are challenging times for police in the United States and through-out the world. The men and women who work in this profession are not only challenged by social activism, divisive politics, and a pandemic but also on a psychological and physical personal level. We all are aware of the danger of being a police officer, but beneath that lies a hidden danger: mental distress. A successful police career therefore involves not only surviving the danger but also psychological survival.

In his new book: Occupation Under Siege: Resolving Mental Health Crosses in Police Work, researcher and former New York State Trooper John Violanti, Ph.D. writes: “Post-traumatic Stress (PTSD) and depression appear to be prevalent in police. Police officers are repeatedly exposed to traumatic situations including motor vehicle accidents, armed conflicts, and witnessing violent death across their working lives. An estimated 7% – 19% of police officers qualify for a diagnosis of PTSD, and approximately 34% experience a number of PTSD symptoms. Depression and PTSD are often found together in officers. Several studies on police have found the prevalence of depression to be approximately 12% which is nearly twice as high as the general population. Both depression and PTSD promote poor health through a complex interaction between biological and psychological mechanisms. Police officers with PTSD or depression are at an increased risk for negative health issues such as cardiovascular disease and gastrointestinal disorders, comorbid psychological conditions as well as suicide. Officers with severe PTSD symptoms are approximately three times more likely to have the metabolic syndrome — a collection of components which increase the risk for heart disease.”

As you read this I implore you to use Morty’s life as a model for your career but MORE IMPORTANTLY to use Morty’s death as a giant RED FLAG warning you and your peers about the need to stay healthy, build resilience and spread the word about the hidden dangers facing all of us in law enforcement.

FULL DISCLOSURE: This writer’s beloved brother, Morty Dzikansky, as mentioned, proudly served within the ranks of the NYPD for 25 years — many of which were under Commish Ray Kelly; its most effective steward to date, bar none. So much so, relative to the knock-on effects via the election of Comrade Bill DeBlasio (and his successor-lite, Eric Adams), if 1 + 1 still = 2, it had to follow that a predictive result would be the complete break-down of law and order — within the heretofore crown jewel of policing in the U.S., the NYPD!

CASE CLOSED. INDICTMENT SEALED, AGAINST THE DERELICT LEADERS OF NYC!

New York City’s danger is accelerating. Dangerous. Thanks to the recent Mayor’s cut of the Police budgets and tying of Police hands by banning successful arrest methods, many, fewer Police on the street, and many Cops have decided to leave a dangerous job that’s become more dangerous. City Hall does not have their back. It is a city whose population is expanding with fewer Cops.

They are called New York’s Finest because they are by far the largest police force in the country, and they are the most effective when there is a mayor who allows them to do their job:

That’s what officials did during a crime wave 30 years ago, and within three years, in 1996, the headcount hit a record 38,310 officers.

The added troops, combined with the aggressive “broken windows” policing under Mayor Rudy Giuliani, saved Gotham.

Crime fell for two decades, ushering in a remarkable era of public safety and prosperity that continued through Michael Bloomberg’s three terms.

Things changed when Bill DeBlasio was elected. To say he had a lousy relationship with the police force would be an understatement.

In late December 2020, two Policemen were ambushed and killed. That’s when the Mayor’s chaotic relationship with the Police went from a simmering feud to a world war.

After officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were shot and killed Saturday afternoon in an unprovoked attack, cops and union leaders publicly rebuked Mayor Bill de Blasio, arguing his earlier remarks had stoked anti-police sentiment. That night, officers turned their backs on the mayor as he walked through the Brooklyn hospital where the officers were taken.

(…) “Quite frankly, the mayor ran an anti-police campaign,” former police commissioner Ray Kelly said (Time Magazine).

The sitting governor agreed.

Reacting to DeBlasio’s anti-police policies, whenever they were present en masse for a DeBlasio speech, they turned their backs on him, even if he was giving a eulogy for a slain police officer. Months later, when George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis policeman,  Liberals started for cities to defund the Police.. forces,

To keep his “Crazy Liberal Membership Card,” DeBlasio cut one $million out of the police budget. That million resulted in fewer Cops on the street.

The Police felt good about former Cop Eric Adams becoming the next Mayor. After all, his resume included a 20-year stint in the NY Transit police, where he rose to the rank of Captian. Sadly, Adams hasn’t been much better.

“Insanity is popularly defined as doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results.

For example, see slashing the number of cops at the NYPD and believing public safety won’t suffer. History proves otherwise. In the extremely bloody era of the early 1990s, when the city had more than 2,000 murders a year, the force had fallen to just 29,000 officers.

If Mayor Adams gets his way, it will hit that number again next year through attrition, a drop of about 13% from the current 33,500. Can a vicious new crime wave be far behind?

Biden’s illegal Alien welcome wagon resulted in an additional 115k living in NYC. Adams decided that every department had to cut their budget by 5% to pay for the new illegals.

A larger population with fewer cops doesn’t seem effective in making the city safer.

Sick and tired of a dangerous job, with dwindling and an increase in violence with a decrease in tools, 2,516 Police officers have left their jobs so far in  2023. And the way things look, that number will accelerate.

As a 45-year-old, he said he’s having a difficult time keeping up the same punishing hours he worked when he was younger“

We’ve been working an average of about 13 to 14 hours a day with a lot of the protests happening in the city,” he said. “Enough is enough. I’ll have maybe one day off for the week and I’m so tired from work I don’t want to do anything.”

The job is taking a similar toll on young cops.

A 28-year-old Queens cop who also asked for anonymity has four years with the NYPD said “the job is unbearable now” and he’s “looking to leave sooner than later.”

Spero Georgedakis, 53, a former Miami SWAT team officer who helps recruit and relocate New York City cops to greener pastures — in his case, police departments in Florida — told The Post he’s “busier than ever” and moved 60 disgruntled officers over the last two years.

“The cops who left can’t believe they ever worked there [NYPD],” the Queens native said.

He said the ex-NYPD officers tell him they were “afraid to make arrests” because of the anti-cop climate in the Big Apple, and when they do make a collar, it’s “what’s the point?” and “we’re shoveling sh-t against the tide” because the bad guys are right back out on the street.

That’s not to say Adams hasn’t invested in the city. In March, his brother’s wife was hired to an NYC Department of Education gig paying  $150,000, twice her salary with the job she was leaving with the Richmond Public Schools system. Adams has hired other friends and family for high-paying jobs. I hope that none of them live in the city because, thanks to the budget cuts of DeBlasio and Adams, compounded by taking away some of the tools they use for their jobs and not having someone protecting their back, over 2,500 young Cops have done their 20 years and retired or left their jobs for other reasons at an accelerating pace and the year isn’t over yet.

NYPD Rescues Jewish Students at Cooper Union College Trapped by Menacing Pro-Hamas Mob (video)

FULL DISCLOSURE: it is mandatory due diligence to inform the reader of the following personal nexus to the existential topic at hand, despite the more than obvious, long-standing, rampant anti-Semitism coursing throughout academia — currently, much of which is couched under support for Hamas, that is, despite its Islamic jihadi/genocidal/barbarism!

DOUBLE NEXUSES

AS to Cooper Union: the heretofore premiere college for budding, ambitious architects (and related design fields), yes, it was the prominent address where a much-loved brother-in-law graduated from. A son of Holocaust Survivors (Auschwitz), he felt honored to be immersed within its esteemed halls learning his future craft — only to witness today’s young Islamic Nazis chasing Jews down the very same halls in a threatening and menacing manner!

IT was due to its stellar program that he became an owner of one of the most respected architectural practices in New York City and beyond. Moreover, he even taught upcoming architectural/design students at related NYC institutions too, Parsons School of Design among them — some of whom went onto achieving their own coveted, award-winning success.

AS to the NYPD: the intersection within is as personal as it gets….allowing this investigative journalist/Islamic jihadi terrorism expert certain access that media-types would salivate over.

UNARGUABLY, as soon as Comrade De Blasio took over the helm and decimated/castrated the NYPD — from its well-earned status as the national gold-standard in policing, in tandem with the entire city apparatus, and the totality of the fabric of NYC — it was anticipated (by pie-in-the-sky liberals) that Mayor Adams would restore the NYPD to its former glory. In a nutshell, he is all talk and no action! Bluster-like. Puffed-chest.

MOST significantly, take the latest report re the “NYPD to the rescue” with less than a pinch of salt. Indeed, they have been neutered….relegated to “hands-in-the-pockets” policing….and treated like pariahs by officialdom in charge, no less.

Jewish students at Cooper Union college in New York City were terrorized by a menacing mon of pro-Hamas demonstrators who trapped them in a library and cafeteria, banging on the doors and windows and loudly chanting. New York City Police eventually rescued the Jewish students.

It is with a broken heart and deep sadness that this writer announces the sudden death of a loving brother, Mordecai Zev Dzikansky, z”l, a/k/a Morty, NYPD Homicide Detective, First Grade (Thursday, March 17, 2022, 14 Adar II).

Dubbed ‘Terrorist Cop‘, his heroic and life-saving missions spanned the globe. They ranged from NYC; to Israel; to Russia; to Spain; to Turkey; to Egypt, and beyond. Basically, wherever Islamic jihad reared its head and exploded, Detective Dzikansky, z”l, was called upon to gather Intel and relay it back, post haste, to former NYPD Police Commissioner Kelly, as well as to former Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism, David Cohen, and John Miller, current Commissioner. A synopsis of said heroism was featured at Arutz Sheva, Israel National News, 12/21/21 – used as a piggy-back article, as requested, to the recent rise of another Jewish cop who climbed the ranks of the NYPD to an integral position. No doubt, my brother was a trailblazer.

Officially posted to Israel for several years (2003-2007), he was the “eyes and ears” of the NYPD – after the horrific attacks on September 11, 2001 rocked America and the western world. Due to his stellar ability to quietly gather Intel and navigate within this most dangerous and murky jihadi cesspool, former Police Commissioner Ray Kelly entrusted him with the most highly classified and sensitive assignments. Its main thrust involved analyzing and relaying back active intelligence (in whatever stage of planning uncovered) at warp speed, that is, in order to thwart impending attacks within NYC.

At times, within this and that investigation, active knock-on blows were being prepped for another U.S. city, and, by happenstance, they came into focus. Of course, the proper agencies were immediately notified. Simply, he was on 24/7 call and never failed to deliver. In all honestly, not many can lay claim to said prowess in their respective careers.

Alongside this twisted terrain, time and again, U.S. media got wind of “ready to blow” attacks. For instance:

With too many others to cite, of note, was a featured interview on the widely viewed and highly respected “60 Minutes, Ed Bradley reports”, New York (N.Y.). Police Department — Planning.Terrorism — New York (State) — New York — Prevention..

In tandem, he became an integral part of the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT Herzliya), a world-class, respected think tank. His part can be accessed here. And due to the continuously shifting sands within the arena of counterterrorism, the following is worth mentioning: In 2009, Detective Dzikansky, z”l, contributed (with the vetting and approval of NYPD higher-ups) to a major policy paper housed at the Russian Academy of Sciences, ‎National Academy of Sciences, ‎Policy and Global Affairs – Countering Terrorism: Biological Agents, Transportation … – Page 9 Tellingly, the netherworld he was enmeshed with is never as it seems.

In the spring of 2005, he was honored (during his posting to Israel) for his unsung heroism in keeping the city safe after 9/11. Held at One Police Plaza, former NYPD Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, alongside former Mayor Bloomberg – with a dais filled with the city’s top leadership – spoke glowingly before an “invite only” audience (with a lovely luncheon that followed) of the many ways in which Detective Morty Dzikansky, z”l, secured the city. Citation upon citation was bestowed. At its base, they wanted to thank him properly for his unprecedented achievements. As his sibling, I felt enormous sisterly pride. As such, along the way to his meteoric rise within the ranks of the NYPD, a few pictures are attached below.

Most recently, when jihad erupted in Coleyville, Texas, no sooner did counterterrorism contacts reach out at this end for this and that, he weighed in with his valued perspective. As always, solicited or not, he gave me much food for thought, and it was reflected within the final analysis. It can be accessed here.

And in a way that only siblings can relate, he thought it was a real hoot that his delicate looking, 5’3 inch sister became steeped in some of the same jihadi muck, teasing, that I “followed” in his 6’3 inch footsteps. Maybe, maybe not. But regardless of “who followed whom”, aside from an already tight sibling bond, as adults, we had much in common due to our professional pursuits.

He leaves behind a devoted and heartbroken wife of 30 years; 3 children he affectionately (and often) referred to as his “crowning achievement” (most recently, upon starting their service in the IDF); 3 sisters who “mothered/smothered” him till the end; close extended family (most especially, nephews and nieces he doted on … when growing up, he was always ready to be the fun, often outrageous, “Uncle Morty”); countless long-held friends, and, in no small measure, colleagues and “brothers and sisters in blue.” Throughout his 25-year illustrious career in the dangerous world of policing and counterterrorism, their brotherhood was unbreakable. Over the years, he relayed hair-raising stories of how they (literally) had each other’s backs – be it via one hell-scape or another, including, chasing down serial killers one week, or, the next, shadowing Russian and Israeli drug lords running amok throughout the five boroughs.

On a personal level, as his sibling, the hole left in this heart from his passing can never be filled. While many relationships come and go throughout the years, and whatever the familial case may be, a sibling is forever. They are the ones who not only shared your childhood experiences, if lucky, kept your secrets, too. As it happens, my brother was pretty tight-lipped.

May the memory of Mordecai Zev Dzikansky, z”l, serve as a blessing to all those left behind. Finally, may he rest in peace – after all of the horrors he confronted in his lifetime.

He will forever be missed. Baruch Dayan Ha’Emet.

It is both impossible to ignore and to veer one’s eyes away from the destructive swathe which is criss-crossing throughout America — that which lies hand-in-glove with powerful Marxist/socialist/communist forces (six of one, half a dozen of the other) which have embedded within the nation’s top tiers. Yes, from Capitol Hill’s far-left ruling Demsters; to Governors; to Mayors; to City Councils; to the educational system; to cultural arenas, etc., none have escaped their grasping reach. Calamitous.

But nothing bespeaks of a looming catastrophe more than the decimation of law enforcement; upon which domestic security is predicated. Full throttle. Indeed, the shrill cries to “defund the police” are a direct knock-on effect to the continuous blood-soaked streets; they are book-ends marching towards anarchic rule. No doubt. Again, sans proper policing, there is NO security. Period.

Not only that, before the “then and now” video proofs are presented, the following must be aired. After all, none of the above, nor the below, would have come to pass, that is, if the far-left’s choke-holds comprised “fake news”:

WHEN the citizens of NYC (incidentally, this blogger’s birthplace, hometown and general address of countless business/personal connections, prior to moving to Israel) elected Bill de Blasio, they effectively handed over the keys to the “Big Apple” to a commissar. Unfathomable.

CLEARLY, many die-hard leftists wanted this outcome and the city is overrun with said twisted anti-liberty pygmies. But just as surely, a preponderance of voters had little idea about their new mayor’s real proclivities, not having bothered to conduct their own (limited) due diligence. Unconscionably, they fell for his “folksy” presentation; a “man of the (working class) people” and the antithesis to Bloomberg. Granted, the ex Mayor is a Wall Street magnate. Yes, this blogger finds him detestable too, but for different reasons. Be that as it may, it doesn’t obviate the typical leftist-driven class/racial warfare claptrap which invariably works, like a guilt charm, on many citizens. Hmm.

FOR the record, Bill de Blasio has a strong affinity for terrorist guerrillas, you know, akin to the PLO/PA/Fatah/Hamas (and so on) murderous crew.

AS a matter of historical truth – know thy history well – Arafat’s murderous terror apparatus schooled at various Soviet addresses, but they also set up their lairs within Latin America (at the tri-border region, like Hezbollah), the same guerrilla “playgrounds” which de Blasio “played” in! 

” PLO’S GROWING LATIN AMERICAN BASE INTRODUCTION At one time, the Monroe Doctrine shielded Latin America from interference by nations outside the Western Hemisphere. In recent decades, however, the Doctrine has been violated so repeat- edly that in effect it has been repealed. The Soviet Union has established a garrison in Cuba, while Eastern bloc states have joined Moscow in creating a base of ope rations in Nicaragua and Grenada.

Yet another external force is escalating its interference in this Hemisphere–the terrorist Palestine Liberation Organization. The PLO works closely with Nicaragua’s radical Sandinista regime and is helping those who are t rying to overthrow El Salvador’s democratically elected government. At camps in Cuba and the Middle East, the PLO trains cadres of terrorists, which head back to Latin America to undermine established regimes. While the PLO is not the cause of Latin Ameri ca’s most basic problems, it is exploiting them.

In turn, the PLO increasingly uses its growing Latin American base to reinforce its international terrorist campaign against the United States and Israel FORGING PLO-CUBAN-SOVIET LINKS Since its establishmen t by the Arab League in 1964, the PLO has grown from an irredentist militia into what has been described as IIa multinational business corporation, with an amalgam of terrorism and diplomacy as its end product…..

INDEED.

CONSEQUENTIALLY, familiarize yourselves with the CV of NYC’s mayor. As a result, the rest of his anti-American activities will flow, and they emanate from years of backing the worst of the worst banditos!

He has been even more effusive about the Sandinistas, the violent revolutionaries in Nicaragua who overthrew the Somoza regime in 1979 and installed a socialist government that ruled until 1990. Mr. de Blasio told the New York Times recently that the Sandinistas showed a “youthful energy and idealism mixed with a human ability and practicality that was really inspirational.” In the same article, one unrepentant Sandinista activist complained about some Sandinista supporters who later dropped their support for the cause. “Bill wasn’t like that,” she said.

For those who became disillusioned with the Sandinistas, a turning point came when the regime showed that it was determined to wipe out peaceful opposition. I was a member of that opposition.

HIS dangerous associations become even more revealing….

To cite just once source, the Russian-born scholar, Dr. Jamie Glazov, who came to America as a child when the KGB forced him and his pro-democracy, dissident parents into exile, is among those who beg to differ. Glazov wrote:

The Sandinistas quickly distinguished themselves as one of the worst human rights abusers in Latin America, carrying out approximately 8,000 political executions within three years of the revolution. The number of “anti-revolutionary” Nicaraguans who disappeared while in Sandinista hands numbered in the thousands. By 1983, the number of political prisoners inside the new Marxist regime’s jails was estimated at 20,000. This was the highest number of political prisoners in any nation in the hemisphere — except, of course, in Castro’s Cuba. By 1986, a vicious and violent Sandinista “resettlement program” forced some 200,000 Nicaraguans into 145 “settlements” throughout the country. This monstrous social engineering program entailed the designation of “free-fire” zones in which Sandinista government troops shot and killed any peasant of their choosing.

Not long after the Times exposé, the New York Post published a column reminding New Yorkers of the Sandinistas’ ugly anti-Semitism — another undeniable truth. That was too much for the old “Sandalistas” (the sandal-wearing Sandinista fellow travelers who haunt the halls of American academe). The Nicaragua Network, of which de Blasio was once a leading member, issued a press release warning its faithful followers that the “New York Post resurrects lies about Nicaraguan revolution!” The Nicaragua Network assured the faithful that the information about Sandinista anti-Semitism were (naturally) just a bunch of CIA fabrications, and urged them to “Send letters to the editor!”

That battle cry was sounded. Sandalistas, unite!

Fortunately, some of those who know better are speaking up. Leading the charge is the former leftist-turned-conservative and Cold War scholar Ronald Radosh. “In the wake of a short Post article noting that Bill de Blasio ignored (at best) the anti-Semitism of the rulers of Nicaragua during his 1988 visit there,” Radosh wrote, “his supporters have insisted the Sandinista junta wasn’t anti-Semitic. In fact, the record is clear — and ugly.” Radosh also notes that “The official Sandinista newspaper, Barricada, ran an editorial in January 1990 in which it attributed distrust of their country by the ‘Yankee bureaucracy’ to the ‘traditional “Jew-style” with which the U.S. Congress manages the taxes of the taxpayers.’”

READERS, you get the picture, but back to the NYPD and the infected PC police…

STILL, if anyone doubts whether or not this blogger is familiar with the NYPD – understanding full well the influence the mayor’s office has over its policies – reconsider your calculus. Post haste. The counter-terror domain too.

WITHIN this context, the commie-in-residence disbanded the NYPD’s (conceived via previous NYPD Commissioner Kelly, the best Commish, bar none) premier surveillance program. It focused on Islamic terror and headed to its roots; inside NYC mosques!  Grave error.

AND anyone who opines that said spying was unnecessary, they haven’t a clue as to what they are babbling, as they egregiously leave Islamists free to plot within their mosques and “community centers”. You still have doubts? Fine. But don’t argue with those whose expertise is unrivaled – and have no political agenda – but just tell the unvarnished Islamic jihadi truth.

SIMILARLY, let’s meander over to just ONE – out of countless – jacked-up jihadi mosque in Brooklyn (this blogger knows what’s what), which is very much in dire need of surveillance – and then some:

AS a native New Yorker (more than familiar with most of the ‘hoods), during an investigation into the various tentacles of the Muslim Brotherhood Mafia, back in 2007 – before making aliyah/immigrating to Israel – this blogger went to visit one of the most dangerous mosques in America in Brooklyn, NY. Accompanied by someone who knew his way around said delicate environs (and with the “blessing” of my beloved late husband, Frank, z”l, to said Sunday outing, though not without some choice words of caution), we came, we saw, we left . Let’s just leave said escort out of this discussion.

YET what can be discussed is the impetus of said foray to At-Taqwa, not something which is considered “normal” relaxation, for most folks, at the end of a jam-packed week of work. But never mind…..

AGAIN, let there be no doubt…. 

BUT, as a specific poisonous fruit (a mere foretaste) to the NYPD’s Islamic penetration, under comrade de Blasio, the poohbahs decreed:

A plan to honor a Harlem cop killed by Nation of Islam radicals is drowning under a flood of racial tensions created more than four decades ago, but no one wants to throw it a lifeline — not even the NYPD’s new top cop.

Police Commissioner Bill Bratton is distancing himself from the controversial push to get the street in front of the 28th Precinct renamed in honor of Officer Phillip Cardillo, who was shot and killed inside a mosque run by Louis Farrakhan in 1972 — noting that the community should make the final decision.

“The Police Commissioner always welcomes the honoring and memorializing of fallen NYPD officers,” Deputy Commissioner Stephen Davis, the NYPD’s top spokesman, said when asked if Bratton favored the street renaming. “However, the issue of street naming is primarily a decision for the community board and other local leaders.”

Cause and effect….and MANY more to come.

IN the main, the resident of Gracie Mansion not only presides over the largest municipal budget in the U.S., but also appoints commissioners to the most important city departments, including the police. In other words, he basically rules the roost and sets the tone. Simple as that.

IN this regard, so much is at stake, even free speech is being threatened. Either it exists for all or it doesn’t. Don’t forget this.

AND no one – with a straight face – can contest that Judaism and Christianity aren’t maligned, six ways to Saturday and Sunday, within the free speech arena. Yet, the PC police can’t be found, hide nor hare, particularly in loony east coast NYC and its “sister” cities. How many readers recall countless obscene verbal/visual displays against Christianity and Judaism, but no one’s rights are silenced. And, for the record, they shouldn’t be.

NOT only that, students don’t lose their rights to free speech, just because they enter school grounds, and even the Supreme Court weighed in in the affirmative. Agreed?

Freedom of speech? I’m sorry, we don’t have that anymore. It’s Bill de Blasio time. It’s Obama time. It’s Jihad time.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes unit is looking to identify the person who distributed anti-Muslim fliers in at least one of the Shore Haven apartment buildings near Cropsey Avenue and 21st Avenue in Bath Beach, according to Councilman Mark Treyger’s office.

The fliers were found throughout the building this week, showing a hateful message calling Muslims “the second holocaust” and claims “USA hates you”. There is what appears to be a woman in a burka inside a “No” symbol, and there is also an abundance of exclamation points.

Actually the flyer mentions Islamists. Have we outlawed that too? Apparently we have. Just like ISIS did.

“I am disgusted and saddened to hear of this hateful act in our community. There is absolutely no place for this type of hatred, especially in a city and borough as diverse and tolerant as ours. My thanks to the 62nd Precinct for their quick response and thorough investigation of this heinous act,” said Treyger in a statement. “I will continue to work closely with the NYPD and entire community so those responsible for spreading hate will held accountable and I urge anyone with information to come forward. It is my belief that an act of hate against one group is an act of hate against our entire community. The bottom line is there is no room in this day and age for these attacks against any member of our community.”

Is a flyer an act of hate now? I guess it is.

But here’s a little thought experiment. Imagine that the flyer read “Zionists Go To Your Country!!! USA Hates You!!! You are Terrorists and Bastards!!!”

Would there be a hate crimes investigation?

In the unlikely event that there was, how many seconds would it take before the ACLU’s lawyers showed up in a fire truck to defend whoever did it while the New York Times wrote an angry editorial warning that we were silencing dissent.

ON a macro level, lest anyone believes the above is a mountain over a molehill, let’s segue to a recent protest at Capitol Hill. Then, you decide if there is a “protected” group, or not. In essence, where some are freer than others to exert their freedom of speech! Not fair…not nice at all…

The Jews were removed, but the menacing  terror supporters were allowed to continue? That’s Obama’s America.

The savages who were violent and threatened the Jews should have been arrested and removed.

ON the other hand, in relation to non-officialdom – and in defiance of comrade Bill de Blasio and his newly “reformed” NYPD – the good people of NYC aren’t cowed by those who seek to impose their anti-freedom agendas. Israel is alive and well in many of its citizens’ hearts, and the video below is a heartening exhibit!
